When I visited the sushi were just ok. Atmosphere and food was nothing to rave about.

Sadly Wasabi and its successor, Aoi, have both closed as of the beginning of 2014. It used to be my «goto» place for sushi.

food is ok but service is horrible. My friend and I had lunch here today, we finished the meal quickly and after the check, my friend went to the restroom and I remained seated waiting for her. Five minutes later, the waitress came to me and asked me to leave because«we are running this place to make money, you should sit outside». She said it in a very rude manner. I explained that I will leave in 5 minutes, it’s just that I gotta wait for my friend. And she repeated that this place is for profit and I cannot stay. I mean, wtf? There are so many empty seats at that time so I’m not keeping anyone waiting for my seat! We just spent 50 dollars(10 dollars tip included) and she is kicking me out?

Wasabi is such a funny little place. I used to live within walking distance though, so I have fond memories. It’s really where my current sushi obsession began. Sometimes you’d go into Wasabi and it would feel like there was no one in the building, despite the open sign, then one of the waitresses(in a Kimono usually! They took themselves seriously.) would come out of the back and seem startled to have a customer. Despite this, the service was always awesome and the food was solid. Watch out for the spicy tuna roll as there is hidden wasabi to be found underneath the seaweed wrap. Also, this is the first place I ever drank Sake, and while I’ve had better Sake since it will always have a special place in my heart. So here’s to you Wasabi, keep on rockin’ in Framingham.
