Some food are authentic and some are, BUT the food is pretty decent! Even if it not authentic, it’s not like you can’t eat it. It is a fusion, and you have to respect that. Our service was prompt and the staff was very nice. The menu is pretty big and their crème brûlée is delicious. I just have to say that their chicken Larb was NOT chicken Larb. It reminded me of a toned down Vietnamese chicken salad with some corn starch. It was good after adding fresh jalapeño and black pepper. Oh, and kudos to the black pepper. They used the Asian kind! We’ll definitely find our way back here each time we are back in town for a snowboarding trip.

Ate here yesterday. Food was great as always. The manager just sat on her iPhone talking away. It really erks me to be unappreciated when spending good money at a restaurant. I certainly do go out here less often because of service problems. Again, food is always good though.

If you’ve never been to Asia, a large city or a city with a military base, then you’ll really, really like«The Fusion». That being said, I liked The Fusion, sort of, They have a great staff, and just plain beautiful outside ambiance. But, they cover the gamut from Korean to Japanese and any other Asian country that falls between, even India, which technically is Asian, very technically. Like I said staff is wonderful, friendly and efficient. I had issues with the food, not that it was bad, it was very good, just not Asian. Maybe thats why they call it fusion. The flavors were almost there, but alas, it was a concept all to its own. I was told to get the sushi, as I heard its very good. I did not, I ordered the Bulgogi, I love Bulgogi. I also ordered the Panang Chicken for Buddha, it’s the rules of Buddhists, but for me eat it after 15 minutes. If Buddha doesn’t touch it, it’s fare game. My love of Korean and Philippine food, stems from the area and being around military bases. So I know Bulgogi. What I had was no Bulgogi, it was good, kinda like a Beef Chow Mein, but I don’t know where they got Bulgogi from. Again I liked it but not Korean. The Panang Chicken., yep it was also good, but not Thai, no heat to very little heat, very little zip at all. But the chicken was great. It was fresh and tender, so I left there oddly happy, but torn. I know Asian food, having lived in Thailand, gone to Japan and gone to Hong Kong. I have also been luck to know military personnel who marry Koreans, Phillipino’s and I think their wives would be sadly disappointed. Really a quandary, I liked it, but…

Got very sick about an hour after having dinner here Saturday about five pm. Pad Thai with shrimp and hot and sour soup. The soup tasted metallic. I suspect it was the soup. Have been sick with Nausea and GI issues for two days. Will not go back. Could be the winter is slow season and food hangs around too long.

Best Pan-Asian cuisine north of Grand Rapids and arguably in Northern Michigan. Friendly service and great bar with an extensive menu of dishes and cocktails. Outdoor deck seating is great in the summer. Make sure to call before you drive out, there are some days /weeks off during the year.

What a find! On our way thru the sweet little town of Frankfort, the first restaurant we chose on Unilocal didn’t exist, so this was #2 pick. Delicious lunch — salads with fresh greens, interesting, tasty, unique. Mouth watering salmon type roll. Great service and pleasant atmosphere.

I Ordered the Pad Thai. Don’t do it. There were just as many onions in the dish as there was noodles. Consider yourself warned. Great restaurant for onion lovers.

Really delicious food, prepared by a chef, to order as opposed to a short order cook heating stuff from Sysco. This is a place you can go with a vegan and a carnivore and both will leave happy. Deck is very pleasant, service is warm, great lunch specials. Unilocalers who’ve complained because their dish was too sweet have ordered a sweet dish, I think. This is not Chinese, but true fusion. Yumm-o!

Food was great, nice atmosphere, pleasant servers. We had a group of 14 and they were busy, got seated more than 15 minutes after our reservation. We had to ask the server multiple times to bring place settings and drinks. Was almost 2.5 hours after our reservation before we got out of there.

Nice décor, good service. Sadly the food here is pretty ick. I tried the sampler of 3 sweet chicken dishes. Sweet and sour, honey, and sesame. All came in very bland, goopy sauces. I could deal with the texture if the flavor was good but overall those were terrible, as was the awful fried rice. The yellow rice was dry, stuck together, and tasted like nothing. I have never had bad fried rice, or sweet and sour chicken for that matter so the standards are not high. There is no way anyone tasted that rice and thought it was good. No excuse to put out such poor quality food. There is no pride in the food, just based on that rice alone. It came out 2 minutes after our appetizer, very soon after we ordered. My grandma normally likes the spring rolls here but did not this time. She did not love her stir fry also and thought maybe there is a new cook. The hot and sour soup was ok I guess. This is definitely not the kind of fresh flavor we expected based on how they market themselves. That was the worst Chinese entrée I have ever had anywhere, so that is pretty bad. Never again.

We got the appetizer sampler AND chicken satay, chicken pad thai and general’s chicken. The sampler was decent, with the wings being the best thing. Everything was a fried item, which is really hard to mess up. The rest of the meal was terrible. The satay is NOT anything like regular satay. The strips of chicken were fried and rubbery. I ate half of one piece and couldn’t even stomach the rest. I can’t believe they messed up something so simple. The pad thai was full of sprouts and leaks and the flavor wasn’t good. The general chicken which is offered as a spicy item was in fact sweet. I have honestly gotten better Chinese food at the mall. It was not worth the $ 60 for the four items. I will never go back to this place. Worst Asian/fusion or maybe just restaurant food in general experience I have ever had.

Been eating here years. Consistently a notch above a typical Asian eatery. I say Asian because the menu is all over the place: Thai, Chinese, Japanese. Fried rice was off and the Mongolian beef was heavy on the oyster sauce but the curry was fine. Service and atmosphere are fantastic with views of the bay and all the veggies were fresh. Kinda place that uses canned sauce but garnishes the meal with fresh ingredients. As always, tastes better after a swim or a surf out by the pier.

For a second(1st was 4 out of 5 sushi lunch) visit the 3-way entrees were not as exciting as one would hope by the name. Using the same base for 3 curry dishes and wings for 1 of 3 spicy three way the culinary adventure for a «sampling» was the equivalent of going to a China buffet Not a Fusion experience other than flavor profiles did fuse into one. SISCO at its«best?»… Menu wasn’t updated as beer arrived in bottle vs. stated draft list… Service walked on by without much interest for silverware

Could be much better. Hope it improves. I wrote a review really panning it. I’ve had a sudden attack of kindness.

My wife and I met my high school biology teacher from 41 yeas ago here for an overdue reunion. We had an absolutely wonderful time with the food being great and the service excellent. The wait staff was attentive, the food nicely presented and spiced as requested. Everything was surprisingly fresh taking into account being off season in a sleepy little resort town. We were very happy with this choice and will definitely be back.

Does anyone try the sushi here??? In reading the other posted reviews, I’m thinking not. And why the heck not?! Full disclosure: I’ve had great sushi in DC… San Francisco… LA…NYC…etc. but you all don’t care about all that, I realize. I’m just giving you some context. My 4-star review wasn’t based on comparing this place to those places. I wasn’t expecting that caliber. And in foregoing my expectations, I devoured a delicious meal. The Fusion is a delightful addition to this strip of Frankfort — especially when the more-than-occasional sushi craving strikes. And also especially in an area of boundless fish fry dinners and heavy Midwestern food. I had tuna and yellowtail sashimi, which were a bit on the small size, but when I expressed my concern to the bartender(I ate at the bar, rather than getting a table) she had the kitchen bring out additional pieces. I also had the Jade Maki roll; the sauce was only slightly-heavily applied, but the flavor was fresh yet hearty and satisfying — just the way I love my sushi. Overall, is there room for improvement? Probably. But this little gem will certainly suffice for appeasing my sushi cravings.

Fantastic 4th at Fusion Lucky we were hungry for an early early dinner because they were totally booked later. We were a group of 6 and they accommodated us with 2 tables on the terrace — teenager and adult table. We had a Small plate smörgåsbord — tempura shrimp, shank, calamari, seafood tartare, seaweed salad martini, mussels — my fav — Thai curry sauce, pork buns and sesame chicken. Deliciously stuffed. Good service too

It’s…fine? I came in a large group over the weekend — we were celebrating two engagements and a birthday. My boyfriend and I split the green curry, red dragon roll and the garlic green beans. The green curry was very good, as were the green beans, but the sushi was just awful. Absolutely awful. The only sriracha on the roll was a few droplets scattered on the plate/roll. I honestly think I have had better sushi prepackaged in a grocery store. It was disappointing. With that being said, the staff was very friendly and attentive to us. They even brought out cupcakes at the end of the meal for the newly engaged couples and the birthday, which was greatly appreciated!

The selection of good restaurants in Frankfort is pretty slim, and we were invited by friends to join them here, and that’s how I came to violate one of my primary dining out rules: Never eat in a Chinese restaurant unless you see a good number of Chinese people actually dining there. The setting is very hip and stylish. Asymmetric plates and bowls(how 1990s LA!), cheap fake modern décor, white tablecloths, snotty staff. The food, however, is more 1950s school cafeteria. We ordered four different dishes, and were served four more or less identical plates, each with the same sauce, and the same tiny frozen vegetables. Here it was the middle of August, in a town surrounded by farms producing fantastic fresh vegetables, and we’re being charged upscale prices for veggies that came off the GFS truck. The sauces were the usual cornstarch thickened glop, the seasonings heavy on soy sauce and sugar, and the result was about as appetizing as it sounds. Unless your taste for Asian food comes from being raised on canned bean sprouts and sweet and our sauce in a jar, give this place a pass.
