Came here for my one of my best friend’s baby shower this past weekend. The space was decent for our party and we had 2 – 3 long tables arranged in a «T» shape. For our space, there was a sliding panel to reduce the noise from other parties as well. The staff was very professional and polite with our requests.
The food was really good and filling. We shared the appetizers family style and I remember eating the potato croquettes, fried zucchini, and eggplant rollatini (so tasty and addictive!). I didn’t get to try the fried calamari since it was at the other side of the table. We were able to pick one of the two pasta dishes: penne alla vodka or rigatoni filetto di pomodoro. Then, we were also were able to pick one of the five entrée dishes: veal marsala, chicken parmesan, chicken francese, salmon, or tilapia. I opted for the rigatoni and the tilapia. I enjoyed my dishes and the tilapia was slightly salty to my preference. We also got a side dish of string beans which was delicious as well.
I recommend for anyone to have a large gatherings at Filomena’s. Great Italian food and service!

This place was amazing! I’m not even a fan of eggplant but their eggplant rollatini was delicious. We had our rehearsal dinner here and the food was spectacular, lots of variety, no one was short on drinks and their service is extra special. It’s family owned so they’re very accommodating with children and if you make it to dinner you’re pretty much sure to meet the owners who are always so welcoming. I love the atmosphere and food is delicious. The only reason why I’m not in here every day is because you would eventually have to roll me out!

Came here tonight with a few co-​workers. My friend leaves in the area and recommend we meet one day after work. And she was Right! The food was amazing, old school italian cooking here. Yum Yum, everything was delicious from the bread, potato croquettes, veal, cheese ravioli. I loved the ambiance and the staff was so friendly. Definitely will be back and they also have a room for parties.

Excellent food, we were there as part of a engagement party, but the food and the staff were excellent, I would go back. Parking behind OTB and your there!

Good afternoon. I had my daughters baby shower here. And she is very fussy. We had A little over 45 people and kids. From Mario to the wait staff. Total perfection. They let us decorate the night before. The food was AMAZING. Thank you all for making this day even more special Diana carbone

It’s nice to know there is a true, traditional Italian restaurant that knows how to do gluten free dishes right!

Had my Engagement Party here. I had about 45 guests. They were very accommodating to my guests needs. We had brought our own desserts and they were gracious in putting our many desserts in their fridge. When it came time for desserts, their waitstaff was able to organize them for each of our tables.
The food was phenomenal. It wasn’t too filling like most Italian restaurants I have been to. They also don’t have huge portion sized foods. I hate feeling over full that I can’t have dessert.
We had floral arrangements on each table they set up. I was able to get there half an hour early to place our favors and other décor for our party on tables they had for us to use.
The waitstaff was great. Dressed nicely… and they happen to dress the same color that was in or theme but I think that was a coincidence. They were very courteous. Our main server communicated with my fiancé and I about timing of our entrées.
Would definitely go there again even for a nice night out for dinner! Would love to try their other foods!

Went to Filomena’s on a recommendation and loved it. Its small, family oriented, most tables had six plus people, its loud, which isnt an issue for me, but wanted to give everyone an idea. I had the stuffed veal chops and they were heaven but even better was the grilled octopus appetizer, delicious! Very friendly waitstaff. I am guessing it has a very loyal local following and its a very non rush environment, as we had apps, dinner and desert but think we left before most people who were there before us — which of course leads me to recommending calling first.

Great spot Good food and nice service. Parking a bit rough but worth the circle a few times. Pricey for the area and worth it for a special occasion. Reservations on the weekend is advised it was pretty packed when we got there but seated is pretty quick.

I don’t know what was better, the food or the service. May seem a bit old school to some because of all the trendy gastropub and such. A true delight that has stood the test of time!

Came here for dinner with my friend for her birthday celebration. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. The staff was so nice and helpful too. I would definitely recommend this place to others.

Their sauce is almost as good as my grandmas ! Love coming here and eating with friends. Try the Chicken Calabrese, you won’t be disappointed.

This is a way overdue review… for such an awesome place!
I had my retirement party here in October 2013 as well as my daughters nursing school graduation party this past December and both were made truly spectacular by the gang here at Filomena’s. Although they were a bit surprised as was I at the bagpiper for my retirement party!
The food is awesome so delicious and plenty of it, and only can be outdone by the service. this place is TOPS!
Even just for a nice dinner anytime you will not be disappointed!!!
Family owned and operated they have something that is very hard to find nowadays and that is good old fashioned home cooking and service as if you were a part of the family!
Well worth a trip to check out and should be on everyone’s short list of places to hold an event!
We will be back!

Love this place ! We have had family parties here and have just gone in for dinner and no matter what I’m never ever disappointed. Amazing food, service and wine! Would definitely recommend this place for dinning in or even having a bridal or baby shower here.

Went to Filominas last night for Dad’s birthday as usual the food was simply fantastic cooked to perfection and the presentation rates a 9.5. The four of us all enjoyed the food. As I always say you will never go home hungry. The staff was professional and personable. This is a no Brainer I would recommend this restaurant to all. This is just another business that is a wonderful asset to Franklin Square.

Italian food. Nice people. They ain’t getting Michelin Stars, but if you’re looking here on Unilocal it’s OK.
