Great prices, very romantic at night, piano music, amazing food and atmosphere, especially for the price. Owner is a little italian guy who greets you at the table. very authentic. Kinda of hidden off the road so hard to find.

I’ve gone here with my husband a couple times and thoroughly enjoyed the food plus the atmosphere. My husband heard about it from a client and we were so glad he did! Always fresh and delicious! The staff has always been polite and attentive. I see that they might be temporarily closed… I hope they aren’t permanently closing!

Very friendly staff but under-trained. Bad food– bland and covered in soup-like sauce. Muzak playing in the background. I don’t know how long this place will stay open. We were the only customers in the restaurant.

This place is a hidden gem! Tucked away in the back of a shopping center, not much from the outside, but warm & intimate inside. Food was delicious and fresh, and service was excellent! Will be back on our next visit to Franklin!

Went for dinner with husband and a tween. Great old school, homemade Italian food(even the sherbet & cakes are homemade). Wonderful service & there was also a charming piano player there Sat night. Were in town w only a casual wardrobe & they were fine with us dining in casual clothes/jeans. It was so good our tween said would like to come back for a bday dinner.

This was my 4th trip to Angelo’s Bistro. I’ve been twice for dinner and twice for lunch. The dinner is far superior to the lunch. For lunch we ordered the meatloaf, roast beef, and pork chops along with 6 sides. Everything tasted old and out of a can. The dinner is okay and the bread is very good at night. The Tuesday special is good. The restaurant is nice and quiet(probably because it’s empty). They need to reduce the lunch menu so they can offer fresher ingredients. I won’t be back for lunch.

So my new contract is in Franklin, TN now. I went looking for an off-the-beaten path restaurant and found Angelo’s. It is a quiet and unpretentious little restaurant with a romantic, candlelight ambiance. Slow and sleepy this evening, the restaurant boasts lovely furnishings, a well-stocked bar, a friendly owner who will take time to talk to you, knowledgable wait staff, and a piano player to boot! I hit happy hour and decided a 6 dollar strawberry martini was a good place to start. Definitely shaken, not stirred, and very good going down! Fresh water with offering of lemon to flavor it was a-plenty here. The menu has some very lush choices — they even have a gluten free offering and vegan choices! I decided to try the chicken florentine. Fresh salad was first up, though! It was tasty and had lovely garnish of salami wedge and cheese wedge. It also had GREEN olives! Big ups for that, I don’t care for the typical black olives! You get bread, too. The bread was fresh and slightly toasted. You are given a dish with pats of butter and a proper butter knife. Very nice touch, I thought. Then the main dish arrived and I thought I had died and gone on to the next life! The chicken florentine was perfectly pan-seared and coupled with organic spinach and button mushrooms, with a nice rose cream sauce and served over angel hair pasta. You are given Parmesan cheese shavings in a separate dish so you can add to your tastes! The dish was served hot and the flavor was nothing short of divine! Now, normally this would have been enough. But the waitress Stacey caught my eye with the mention of a crème brûlée made with Gran Marnier. Ohh, that heavenly liqueur!!! So, of course, I had to have it. Words cannot adequately express the wonderful delight the crème brûlée was! A generous portion, the dessert was light, creamy, and flavourful! The Gran Marnier was perfect and not overpowering at all! What a perfect end to this sumptuous meal! I don’t know how they manage it, but Angelo and his staff give you a 4-star dining experience at a two-star price! Don’t miss this little gem of a restaurant! Tell Angelo hi for me, too! Oh, the piano player is awesome, too!!!

Decided to try this place because of the good reviews. The atmosphere was nice and the food was average. But the service was HORRIBLE!!! It was the second worst service in my life, the first worst being a place in the Carribeans but at least they can plead«Island Time». Will never go there again due to poor service.

The atmosphere was great. Very relaxing. the waitstaff was extremely friendly from the owner to the waitress to the pianist. The food was wonderful. We ordered the chicken florentine and the eggplant parmigiana. The white sauce was very smooth and creamy. Hearty servings. Will definitely return.

We celebrated a birthday at Angelo’s with a part of ten. It was a perfect choice. The mussels were so good we ordered extra bread to get every bit of sauce. Everything was delicious. The piano music added to the atmosphere. We are so glad we chose Angelo’s.

We are regulars and enjoy both the menu and the service. The owner is there to greet you and the piano player walks the tables to take requests. Wine selection is good. Definitely recommended.

We arrived at Angelo’s just after church today with friends who recommended it based on lunch last week. we were the only patrons present, which seems to be the norm here. I’m not sure how the doors stay open. The menu is fairly extensive, with both Italian and southern style meat and 3 options, including a number of «slow food» choices like roast beef that I don’t see a good way to serve fresh without traffic to eat it while it is fresh. It seems the only option would be to reheat as needed. Nonetheless, we did enjoy our pasta dishes, which were a little on the high side of reasonably priced, but still reasonable. Our server was attentive, and helpful. I don’t see how he can afford to work for tips with only one table booked for lunch. At then end of the day, based on a 20% tip, he’d still do better at the McDonald’s down the street. Nothing to complain about, nothing to rave about, but a nice addition to Cool Springs and I hope that they pick up some more traffic.

On business and this was close, tried it before and same good service. Steaks were good this time and classic Italian fare no complaints. Fair wine list and reasonable prices, list is small and moderately priced. Tried a merlot sold by glass, Velvet Devil, Washington State, $ 38, Seved in good stemware, Piano player is hidden in corner and puts a wonderful mood among the room of about 10 tables and booths, service is attentive and friendly.

I was on a business trip and found this place on Unilocal.I was dining alone and didn’t really know what to expect so when I walked in, I was a bit surprised that it was a fine dining atmosphere and felt a little intimidated. But I was soon put at ease because the servers were so welcoming and friendly. Even though I was alone, I didn’t feel lonely, if that makes sense. The food was great. They started me with bread that was freshly baked and butter so soft that it just melted onto the bread. I had an amazing shrimp pasta dish and was happy to leave with a full belly and a place I would like to head back to next time I’m in town.

Wow! The reviews were dead on here! Except I think our server was new cause he forgot to tell us the specials, he didn’t know the name of the sauce on one of the dishes and stood there in silence for a few uncomfortable minutes. Food was amazing. The veal shank and rack of lamb were to die for! The calamari was outstanding too. The place is beautiful, seriously beautiful. It’s small so I recommend reservations. They have a gentleman who plays piano and offered to play a song for our anniversary we were celebrating. It was beautiful. My only complaint, the later it gets the louder people are and you can barely hear the piano. :( THEONLYREASONTHEYLOOSE A STARISTHEPRICEOFTHEIRDRINKS! I MEANSERIUOSLY, THEYARESHORTGLASSES, LOADEDWITHICEANDCHARGEDUS $ 10. THAT’S A SOWRONG, OURFIRSTDRINKSWEREIN A SCOTCHGLASS, NETROUNDTHEGLASSGOTSMALLER. I stated my drink was all ice, had to remove half of it and there was barely anything in it. I nicely complained, he got me another one with less ice but still charged me for all 3! $ 60 in drinks is a rip off!!! I will be back for sure! Tuesday Italian night $ 15 for an entrée, salad and glass of wine is a Hell Yes, I will be back.

We LOVE this place! We stumbled across Angelo’s by accident and have returned a couple of times… It’s tucked in the back of a little shopping center – the ambiance is great – small restaurant, quaint and cozy. Angelo, himself, shuffles around to each and every table, welcoming his guests – he’ll tell you he is half-French, half-Italian, and talk your ear off – in a good way! On our first visit, my boyfriend couldn’t decide what he wanted, so as he explained this to Angelo, he assured my boyfriend he’d come up with something exquisite – and he delivered! The same story happened the next time we went – my boyfriend described what he was in the mood for, and Angelo came through. As for me, I LOVE the shrimp and lobster ravioli. Unbelievable. Not a fabulous wine selection, but good enough. It’s a little toward the pricey side, but worth it for a quiet date night, I’d say. Please go! You won’t be disappointed!
