Great service, food and drinks. Live music and a fun environment. The burgers are OUTSTANDING! Went to this great little place on a recommendation from some of our neighbors and could not be happier. Great selection of beers and the friendliest servers.

This place is great for live music. The food also USED to be really decent. Recently, however, they have pared down the menu, and the food quality had gone down hill. Go for drinks and some music, but seek a better alternative for dinner.

I just tried this place for the first time last week. The patio was absolutely adorable, I wish that we would have gotten to sit out there but it was full so we sat inside. It was your typical bar inside. They were about to have live music as we were leaving. I ordered the Southwest burger, it was really good. Everyone that I was with got burgers, and we were all pleased with the meals. Service was a little slow, but our server was very nice. I would come here again.

Service sucks! It’s a bar that was overwhelmed on a Friday. They need to consider staffing!

Great burgers and you’ve got to try the garlic mashed potatoes(forgo the fries, you’ll be glad you did).

It had been a few months since I had been, but I recently went to the Pig to enjoy their delicious BLT, a cold beer and some good music. Well not only did they update the menu, but they no longer serve the BLT. When asked to see a manager to inquire about the change, the manager never showed up. Sad. I wanted to let them know it was missed and to ask to bring it back!(The table next to us agreed!!) In addition, the Shepard’s pie I had was horrible and way too salty. My friend had a chicken salad and tomato and later got really sick… and the waitress never asked if we wanted another beer or any dessert just brought us the tab. I’m really disappointed in the changes as I used to really enjoy the Pig in the summer. Now I’ll have to find a new place as apparently the Pig isn’t interested in repeat customers. Sad. What happened to you Bunganut!?!

My fiancé got the southwestern burger(amazing!) and I got the chicken tenders with buffalo sauce, so good! Good atmosphere and the band that was playing the night we went were really good!

Fish n Chips are good, crisp and flavorful and hearty in size. Server is really nice too. Also had the fried pickles(which I am a sucker for so no complaints here) and fried twinkies which weren’t as good as I expected it to be. I think it needs ice cream or something to add some more pizzaz to it. Kind of cool atmosphere since you have to walk downstairs to enter, definitely originally thought it was a smokehouse based off the smokey smell when we parked in the lot, but wasn’t disappointed in a quick, easy lunch.

Food just so so. Friendly service just expensive for what you get. Mashed potatoes really good but philly cheese steak expensive and small. Great atmosphere just over priced.

Best burger in middle Tennessee. Pretty bold statement, huh? I ordered a 24/7, which has a half pound of pure angus beef, applewood bacon, cheddar and a fried egg. The burger is slightly smoky from a light char. My medium-cooked burger is impossibly perfect light pink the color of Himalayan salt blocks. The bun is soft and chewy-fresh, able to hold it all together — but I never put it down. No condiments needed or wanted — would you put ketchup on a Morton’s filet??? A huge mound of beer-battered onion rings. I couldn’t eat them all. Atmosphere is really cozy. Busy but not frantic, casual but you can talk across the table. Outside seating will be nice on a warm summer night. Live music was good and not overpowering.

Well worth a trip– if it’s beef it’s good here. Burger is great, but the filet is one of the best I’ve had, largely because they know how to cook it. If you order medium rare– it will be that way. Not a formal place, décor could use some help, kinda a cross between British pub and dive bar, but food is solid and it it is equally friendly for families and those out for a casual drink.

Gnarly interior and exterior. Reminds me of college dive bars. Food is not as cheap but not expensive either. Portions are pretty generous. Beers very limited as Adam V. mentioned. We arrived after 2pm on a Sunday. When I waited tables, this was my favorite time on Sunday to wait tables. The late waking smokers would come in and nurse their Wild Turkeys on ice, eat lots of meat with leisure and tip me fantastic. Today, at this time of the day, the BP was completely empty except for my little family of four. The servers were busy with cleaning and their side work and the place felt hollow. Redolent of PineSol. Cold and damp. Environs were skank. The music was not cool. I didn’t get any sense of English pub at all. Unless grubby, hangover, unshowered ash tray is that feeling, in which case, success! I don’t generally pay much attention to the surrounds when I’m in search of great food but so much has been said about the cool pub vibe that I admit I’m probably overreacting. Having said that, we did have good food so who cares about the surroundings and it mattered not a whit in my rating. Now the food highlights: We ordered two burgers — mid rare. They were very very good. Perfectly cooked. Thick, loosely packed. The buns were soft and tasty. The set up with packets of mayo and mustard raised my eyebrow – huh? A bit pricey for fast food packets of condiments. The curly fries were meh. Bland. Could use some personality in a seasoning… The shepard’s pie — a sorry sight. Presentation was terrible. But, tasty. Homey and filling. I would pick the burgers here over Burger Up any day. We decided to keep BP on our list of go-to eateries in Franklin when we hanker for good burgers.

FOOD: Pretty darn good. Had the Angus burger which was pretty good but not the best ever as they guarantee. My wife had a chicken salad wrap which she said was fantastic. SERVICE: Not so good. Waitstaff did not engage with customers. All business with no personality. No acknowledgement when we came in. No «thank you have a nice day» when we left. VALUE: Meh. Not bad.

Best burgers around! Seriously they’re great. Love the vibe of this pub and the variety of live music. Also a great place to watch football & Futbol!

The three stars say it all: It was okay. Service was okay — our party of six was told three times by two different servers that we could sit anywhere we wanted and someone would be right with us. We chose to sit outside, but it was awhile before anyone came to wait on us, and it was neither of the servers who had instructed us before(rather pointedly, I might add). Once the ball got rolling, it was, as I mentioned, okay. — The food was okay. I got the mango jalapeño bratwurst. I wasn’t bowled over but I wasn’t disgusted. It’s just your basic pub grub… a couple notches above Chili’s. — The atmosphere was more than okay… I would have loved to have been there a little later to hear the live music and have a drink. In fact, I think I’d even come back to check that scene out if I ever find myself in Franklin again. I imagine it’s a whole different game in the evening.

Shepherd’s Pie & Guinness One of my friends and I were looking for a cool place in Franklin to hang out and grab a bite to eat. This place has a cool English pub atmosphere. They have live music several times a week. The schedule is on their website. We enjoyed the little bit of music we got to hear before leaving for the airport. I started with Guinness and fried mushrooms. The fried mushrooms were fantastic and Guinness is always a great idea! I was super excited when I saw Shepherd’s Pie on the menu so I had to have it for dinner. It was good, not the best I’ve had but good. It had melted cheddar on top which was different. I will definitely be back to try other things on the menu.

Finally getting around to checking out this establishment which was on my local bucket list. Husband and I came on a Wednesday night during Nashville Originals Restaurant Week. This place definitely has the English pub vibe going on. Great atmosphere. Pool and darts upstairs, live music downstairs. And a nice patio and corn hole for when the weather is nice. Don’t come here for the food. Come here to hang out and have a drink, play some pool, or listen to the music. They have standard pub fare plus the English pub favs-shephard’s pie, fish and chips, etc, plus a few unique items and nicer entrees like filet. The food was good(I got a patty melt, my husband the shepherd’s pie), but nothing to rave about. Of course this is a pub so I wasn’t expecting 5 star cuisine. Service was good on our visit. Overall, this is a solid place to come hang out on a Friday or Saturday night with friends. Food is the afterthought here. We’ll probably come back when it’s patio weather!

Bunganut is a great little space in a quirky little basement of a strangle little office/retail court. The atmosphere is very cool and during lunch has a reasonable family atmosphere. They advertise the«best burger in Franklin — guaranteed» so we decided to give that a shot. To the proprietors, I made suggest a few improvements to their burger, which might help it to go from a reasonable solid, but overpriced burger, to «the best burger in Franklin.» First, start with a sturdy bun, not the the bunny white bread bun you currently serve it on. For a juicy burger, the bun quickly became mush. Second, use a solid, strongly flavored cheese such as a quality cheddar, gouda, or horseradish cheese. Some more pepper on the meat might help to set it apart. When preparing a bacon burger, use a good, thick cut bacon instead of the precooked microwave bacon that we were served. If not Benton’s, another thick cut smoked bacon would be a big improvement. So for $ 10+ I got a reasonably decent burger, but not as good as a number of other local places, including McCreary’s, Burger Up, Corner Pub, or Mack and Kate’s(which may be the best yet).
