The Bison Burger is excellent! Add truffle fries instead of dessert and your taste buds will be happy for hours. The atmosphere is rustic but clean and classy enough to justify a full-time host and $ 13 burger price.

We ordered take out– it was good. The meat was good, but just good. It was pretty oily though. The fries were good, crispy which I liked. The shakes were very yummy! I do recommend those(vanilla and chocolate).

I sat at the bar, and the bar tender was amazing — warm, friendly, helpful. He recommended a great beer(Black Abbey Rose). I had a classic cheeseburger and it was nothing special — just a normal cheeseburger. The truffle fries, on the other hand, were amazing. There are better burger places, I won’t be back.

Black & Blue burger was great. House fries slightly soggy but still good. Fried mac & cheese was yummy!

Really great place. The Woodstock burger was great. The truffle fries were a little too greasy.

Burger Up is our favorite restaurant. My wife and I eat there probably more than any other restaurant. We’ve always been to the 12 South location, but after seeing a movie at the Carmike Thoroughbred, we decided to try the Cool Springs Burger Up. To preface, I want to say the service, décor, and even the food, was all good. But… it wasn’t the same as the 12 South Burger Up. The aioli had a bit of a corn syrup taste, and the Woodstock my wife and I shared had a tinge of a sloppy joe like taste. None of these made the food bad, but the same items at the 12 South location tasted more refined overall of a higher quality. That being said, the Cool Springs locations features some menu items not found in 12 South. We enjoyed the fried green beans, and if I weren’t full from popcorn and soda from the movies, I would’ve loved to have tried a milkshake. TL;DR: Great vibe and décor, but the food just wasn’t the same as the original location.

I had the Ramsey and although pimento cheese on a burger sounds disgusting it was really good. It wasn’t your typical cheap store bought cheese. It didn’t overpower the burger and gave it a little bit of kick. The meat on the burger was a million times better than anything you will get a fast food place. As soon as I took a bite I was immediately taken back to my childhood eating the homemade grilled burgers at the ball field. The fries were ok. They definitely need more salt. The ketchup they gave me was terrible. I don’t know if its some sort of speciality sauce, but I’d rather have Hunt’s ketchup.

Went on a Sunday afternoon. Seated fairly quickly outside on a heated patio. Has heard great things and was looking forward to trying it out. I don’t know if we got a non regular server but the poor dude was lost. We waited for a while after we were seated for him to check on us then he was searching through his server book for his notes on what beers were on draft. Took a while longer and he brought us waters, no beers. He came back out, took a tables order that was seated after us, still no beers. A few minutes later the beers were brought out by someone else, you could tell they had been sitting out for a while, a little warm and no head but room where there probably was at some point. My beer was good, my friend did not get the beer he ordered but we didn’t want to bother with it. After a bit longer he came back to us for our order, he had to shuffle through again when we asked what was on the special burger we saw on the sign walking in. We ordered it. Food was killer. Fries could have been a bit hotter, not sure if our food sat out for a while but they were just warm when we got them. We finished our meal and overall were very pleased with everything. For me a big part of why you go somewhere is how you are treated, dude was trying, maybe just an off day or not his usual position but it made it awkward for us. We agreed, was good food but not sure if it will warrant a return trip with so many other options around.

Let’s start out by saying hamburgers are one of my favorite foods, and Burger Up is my favorite local place to go. The taste of the meat reminds me of what beef tasted like 30 plus years ago. Most beef today is tasteless. I’ve hit most of the Nashville burger spots, and they put out good burgers, but ignore the meat itself. Love the truffle fries and shakes and pretty much all the appetizers. My only complaints are the service is hit and miss(Good lately, I guess I get prejudged by the hipsters for being over 50). Also, other than the booths, the seating sucks.

We stopped in for dinner after a full day at The Pilgrimage. We split the pimento and cheese app and grilled avocado burger with truffle fries. I think the pimento and cheese should come with more bread but everything was super tasty(and very rich). I’m glad we opted to split a burger!

I love their burgers and their sweet potato fries. I always try something new here and have tried most of the burgers. The meat makes the burger. Not all the extra toppings and sauces etc. If you want good burger this is the place. Service is average. And the price is average. Overall my go to burger joint if I’m in franklin.

Food was awesome! Prices are great for the food! We came on a Thursday before six and were at our table within minutes! Our server was nice and super knowledgeable. We had the Woodstock, Southwest, and Farm burger, all the burgers were perfect and amazing! We had the house fries with the incredible house ketchup! They were heaven on a plate! Come here!

Burger Up provides a family like atmosphere with decent prices and pretty decent food! Cons: Seating consist of hard church pew, picnic like style seating… meaning wood benches. Not so comfortable to be sitting at for long extended times. Food is pretty good! I enjoyed the wings and the burger but didn’t care much for the fries :(mines were cold. Place could be bigger for the amount of people that frequent here and wait in line. Bar is not very big and i just think the overall setup was just a lil small but it is a dine in burger. Pros: Not exspensive at all! Once again food is pretty good! Its not really a place for a date night cause there are kids allowed, more so a family place. Will return…

Went for dinner with husband and our two little guys. We heard they supported local farms and business. The décor is very cool and trendy. Cloth napkins. Loved the diverse menu items, the server Dean was great with us, accommodating our youngest sons dairy allergy. We loved everything we tried, avocado burger, lamb burger, jalapeño burger, and a plain burger on wheat. The nights total was more than we expected, but everything was worth it, maybe not a weekly treat, due to cost, but we will be back again. Also every table seemed to have kids… so if you are anti little people, have a back up plan. ****they use peanut oil-allergy weary patents beware****not noted on menu or any place else, chef confirmed yes, they use it****

Husband ordered a lamb burger from here. It was so small almost looked like a mini burger. Also the taste wasn’t exceptional especially for the price. Quite disappointing.

I wasn’t impressed. The bison burger was good but not very sizable for the price(I felt like it was a 5 bite burger). Everything is supposedly made with peanut oil(so those with allergies avoid the fries at all cost)…which contradicts what I was informed but both the server and manager said there is… So it could have been an amazing experience with fries… but alas :( I will say that regardless of the food hiccup(because what’s a burger without fries) the atmosphere is perfect for an evening beer or bourbon with the buds!

Atmosphere/décor: Great Staff Friendliness: Perfect *Once our waitress finally came over she was super attentive, friendly, & nice :) Regular Fries: old & crunchy bits as if the were the bottom of the barrel Truffle Fries: split/swapped a handful of each with a friend :) The flavor profile is too rich to only get those… Bear Creek Classic: pretty darn good! Def not the best I’ve ever had & def not the worst! Friend LOOOVES the Veggie burger(fried version) add avocado & swiss, which sounds really yummy!!! ENJOY!

Had a great experience here! The bison burger with truffle fries was amazing. Hubby got the black and blue and loved it. Onion rings weren’t super crunchy and lacked flavor… Wouldn’t order again. Nice atmosphere! They didn’t asked how we wanted them cooked so it’s a good thing I’m not picky. Was definitely very pink! Overall loved it though and will be back!

I’m gonna combine several visits in one review … ’cause sometimes I hesitate to review a place on the first visit unless it’s so good that it smacks me up alongside the head and says, «Jes’ do it!» First impressions: Burger Up is solid — good. Good looks(I like rustic re-purposed/vintage wood.) and good food(I particularly like locally-sourced foods.) The company’s community-focus is a plus as well. –Woodstock Burger with bacon, white cheddar, and jack daniels maple ketchup fits my definition of classic, grilled to my liking, tasty, juicy goodness. –Mushroom Swiss Burger with lettuce, white onions, truffle aioli is ok, but a little closer to average than great. –Truffle fries — crispy, earthy, darn good. –Salads Chopped Kale with roasted hazelnuts, dried tart cherries, pecorino romano, citrus vinaigrette is healthy good eats … while Beet and Arugula with red and golden beets, apples, cucumber, pistachios, honey vinaigrette knocked my socks off. Yowzaa! Family friendly, decent prices, overall good place for lunch or dinner or late-night munch.

This place has me torn. I love nothing more than burgers & fries, but this is just a little off from being a great burger place. I dinned here on a Sunday afternoon, around 1:30pm. The restaurant was pretty busy, a large church crowd present. I entered the building & was greeted by one of the two unfriendly, female hostesses. I didn’t know if she was a hostess or not because I had to say hello first to her. I thought by the look she gave me that I was just talking to a teenage girl that was standing near the hostess stand. We were sat at a high top table & was greeted by a friendly waitress. The restaurant is furnished with a lot of wood & natural colors. The feel is very comfortable. The menu has a lot of burgers & sandwiches. Bottomless fries are served with a lot of the burgers. I decided to get the mushroom & Swiss burger, cooked medium with fries($ 11). The food — the burger was cooked well done, not medium. The beef was nice, I would guess 93⁄7 beef. Burger Up! prides themselves on using local meet & produce. The beef was nice, but didn’t have much favor, it needed a little salt & pepper & maybe a little more fat for flavor. The mushroom & Swiss comes with onions with horseradish sauce. The sauce didn’t have much flavor, which I was surprised by, because horseradish is a very intense flavor. The fries were okay. They are cut from the potato with the skin on, which I like, but they tastes too greasy for me. The fries also didn’t have much flavor other than grease. Overall, for 11 dollars, the burger tasted like a 6 dollar burger. It didn’t have much flavor & the fries had too much of a grease taste for me. Would I eat here again? Yea, if friends wanted to eat here I would go along, but I’d never say to anyone that I wanted to go there first.
