Copper Kettle is without a doubt Nashville’s best meat-and-three spot! It’s a favorite casual date night spot for my wife and me. Incidentally, my wife isn’t crazy about any of the other southern food joints in Nashville, but she loves Copper Kettle. The food here is the best — delicious classic southern fare, but not at all dirty and greasy like many of Nashville’s meat-and-threes. I’ve probably eaten at Copper Kettle 20 or 30 times, and I’ve never had anything I didn’t love, but I have to say, my favorite thing on their menu is the cornbread salad! Oh man!

I’ve only had the pleasure of eating at the Copper Kettle a few times, but I was definitely impressed! We ate the brunch buffet and wow oh wow! It’s so hard to find a great brunch buffet, especially one that is so big! Some say it’s overpriced, but for the amount of choices you have, it’s perfect! I do agree with a few other posters, I wish the downtown Nashville location was still around, as that was my first experience. I loved eating with the big roll up doors open, letting the spring breeze in, such a perfect setting! Don’t let a few bad reviews make your decision, try it yourself!

This is a great constant for comfort food. There always seems to be something yummy on the daily specials. Staff is amazing.

We stopped here because my boyfriend saw the sign and recognized it as having been in Nashville at some point and«heard it was good». I think there is a reason they moved. The atmosphere is pretty nice. The food was really bad. We both had catfish(cold and not exciting) and mac and cheese(the best part of our meal but mediocre compared to most mac and cheeses) I had corn that was over cooked, badly seasoned and cold, and tasted like mush. The rest of the options looked even worse. I wouldn’t go back. It cost us $ 20+ and I had a water. Expensive and not enjoyable. We also got there about 30 minutes after they opened so how in the world the food had a chance to get cold I don’t know. Unless it hadn’t had a chance to heat up because it was last nights leftovers(which wouldn’t surprise me) Go somewhere else.

Nice employees were the best thing about dinner there last night. I was really hoping this would be a great place for dinner without going to the other side of Franklin or to Cool Springs. We really enjoyed Uncle Buds at this location and were surprised to see it close. I guess this is just not a dinner spot. The coconut chicken was dry and lukewarm, the okra tough and cold, and the green bean casserole bland. Nothing was more than barely warm, so maybe leftovers from lunch? On the other hand, the mac and cheese and cheese grits were both both tasty. Not sure we will give Copper Kettle a second try. Too bad.

I’m confused by the negative reviews… I’ve always had delicious food and great service here! That said, maybe there needs to be a little more clarity up front. This is a Meat & Three, OR you order off the menu. You grab a tray, go through the line, pay at the register, self-serve your drinks, and if your food is off the menu you grab a seat and they bring it to you. It’s sort of cafeteria style. If one of you is ordering hot food off the menu, I recommend that you order your food and have your friends doing the Meat & Three option wait, because the menu foods are made to order vs. served on the buffet line. It’s better timed that way. I don’t usually go Meat & Three, I go with the Hot Brown sandwich… or the Monte Cristo. Both are delicious, and the portions are ample. My boyfriend loves the coconut crusted chicken they often have as a «meat» of the day. The macaroni is my favorite side dish. The people are nice there, they’ve even let me help myself to a drink while I’m waiting on my friend to arrive, allowing me to pay later when it’s time for me to place my order. I always come to the Copper Kettle when I want a hearty meal in a casual setting in Franklin. It’s not cheap like fast food, but it’s not pricey as the rest of the downtown fare seems to be. It’s on par with a lot of other places like Frothy Monkey or Merridee’s in terms of pricing.

The meat and 3 is like Golden Corral, except you only get one trip and someone else makes your plate. If we ever do go back, I’ll order from the menu. Tracy G’s review is dead-on about the service. The young man at the front counter was abrupt, curt and just unpleasant.

The food is just ok. It’s a shame because it’s a great location and we love to support local businesses. We’ve been here twice now. The first time we decided to take our own bottle of wine and the cork fee was $ 10.00! When I mentioned that it seemed high, this is the response I got(after he had to call his boss to find out what the cork fee is), «I don’t set the prices I just work here.» I’ll just echo what Tracy G. said about the service. «Although extremely competent and knowledgable, he was abrupt, dismissive when we asked questions and frankly, treated us as though the sooner we decided, paid, ate and left the building the more pleasant his day would get.» The young man does not seem to enjoy his job.

Grilled chicken salad gets a solid 4 out of 5 stars. I dropped the review to a 3 because literally nothing jumped out at me on the menu… I ate a piece of chocolate cake for late-lunch.

I strolled in one day for coffee and dessert. I needed some comfort food STAT. I tell you what. the owner or manager Tim was so friendly and Jay the waiter was great. I felt very welcome and the mini chocolate pie, pumpkin mousse and coffee were fantastic. It was kinda like being somewhere friendly and familiar even though it was my first visit. I highly recommend this place all around. I will be back when I can celebrate finding the perfect job… hopefully very soon.

You know that Dunkin Donuts drive thru you just passed? Head back there and grab a breakfast sandwich. Hell, treat yourself to a donut and you’ll thank me. I admit it. I had a messed up youth. I gave this place so many stars all the years ago when they were just wee location hanging out on Granny White. I even traveled to Bellevue for their brief stint in the Bellevue Mall after the Green Hills location caught on fire. What I failed to realize at the time was that it was a suicide attempt by the restaurant which was well past it’s peak. I’m a girl that likes her dessert for breakfast as much as the next person, but that’s currently all that’s making this place interesting. Piles of donuts, brownies, premade pie type substances and Costco tasting banana bread. I should have known something was amiss when on a Sunday afternoon there was no wait and um, the place was 80% empty. You stroll up, grab a plate, are faced with a few zillion Krispy Kreme donuts, some fruit and, yes, more Costco type cheese, a bunch of weird quiche type things that aren’t marked before making it to the carving station. The gentleman will kindly offer to cut you a tiny sliver of the saltiest ham or, alternatively, the fattiest roast beef you can imagine. You will wander to a giant pile of lettuce with deep fried cream cheese. And no, that is not a type-o. Fried goat cheese… yummy. Cream cheese? Yeah, not so much. You should absolutely get the eggs benedict while your in line though, because the scrambled eggs you ordered for your kid won’t show up for 40 minutes. By that time, they will have begged to go up for brownies. Which are so crappy your kids won’t even finish them. Or you could do Dunkin Donuts and save yourself $ 20 a head. I recommend the butternut donut. Your welcome.

This eatery is a copper kettle lined with gold and silver — food dishes that reflect the richness and heritage of Southern Meat ‘n 3 plus a bit of today’s «fusion» cuisine. As soon as we entered we were warmly greeted and given a courteous overview of what their menu choices entailed. The veggies were luscious; grilled items were done perfectly, Food was served promptly. Ahi Tuna Wrap was a twist on a wrap – pseudo Sushi Roll(see my posted pic.) Jalapeño Cheese Grits were creamy and not too spicy.(I would have liked a bit more Wasabi on the side.) The Lime Grilled Shrimp Salad was perfect. Lightly dressed with extra dressing on the side(which I used to top a few bites of my tuna wrap — it was delicious and could be used as a topping or condiment on other dishes.) We’ll be back to try some more of the delicious, rich-looking offerings very soon.

Food is very good and everyone is so friendly. Very nice place. Highly recommended. I had the delicious tequila lime baked chicken steamed vegetables and green bean casserole. The rolls are so good my son ate 4 of them lol. My son had the chicken tenders that were perfectly battered and fried. Awesome awesome place…

Here is a review that isn’t about the brunch. We went on a Friday night. I called on a Thursday for a Friday night reservation. Unilocal says they take reservations. Bad News: They don’t take reservations. They take call-ahead seating on weekends. Good News: You don’t need any. It was 7p on a Friday night and there were only 5 or so tables in there with plenty of room. They have tables and 5 booths. ANYWAY, it is in no way fine dining. You might be a little taken back when you first walk in to the cafeteria-style dining. NOALCOHOL is served. Self-serve soda. You seat yourself. There is a table or two outside. Pay after you order… no waitress… no tip required. :) PRICE: Two thumbs up. We each eat got Meat &3 with soda. $ 24. PORTIONS: Little over average. You will not leave hungry with Meat &3. OPTIONS: Meat &1, 2, 3 or 4, depending on how hungry you are. They also have salads and specialty sandwiches. Tip: If you want an extra piece of corn bread(with Meat &) …ask…they will not charge you. Awesome: Cajun turkey, sweet potato mashers, mac n cheese, meatloaf(best I’ve had at a restaurant), Good/standard: Veggies, roasted potatoes, fried okra, rolls, and corn bread. BUT…2 people have raved about the fried okra. The friend I was with this night says that it is usually more flavorful, as it was so bland I did not even finish mine. The feel of the place is home-y, relaxed and no-frills. It was nice to refill soda at your own convenience. There are many places we try once(swanky’s, boscos, bricktops, brixx) and never bother to go back(or bother to review here). But this place we will definitely go back to. In fact, we discussed going the following day for lunch.

Came in on a Thursday night after my sons lacrosse game. .Service was quick and friendly; had high expectations but unfortunately everything that i was served was cold except for the turnip greens. The flavor of the food seemed good but a cold pork chop is not as good as a hot one. If we had not been so hungry I probably would have taken it back and asked for one that was at least warm. The rolls and cornbread are not kept hot but just in a open bow as well. My son and I both had a meat and 3 plate plus a desert and drank water… the tally was $ 28. I can think of a couple of other places in Franklin with white table clothes that the 2 of us could get away at almost $ 28 and drink water. Just didn’t expect that price for home style cooking. I might give it another try but would do so reluctantly.

Came here for Sunday brunch today with my husband and parents who came into town for the weekend. I’ve always heard good things about Nashville location, but I just never got the chance to go. So I was excited to see this one open up in Franklin. My dad can be hard to please at restaurants, so I’m glad that Copper Kettle did not disappoint being our first time as well! The only option on Sunday is the brunch buffet. It’s actually a really good buffet with some options you don’t typically see on a brunch buffet. Plenty of fruit, a variety of good cheeses, pastries, hot and cold items, salads, carving station with two meat options(which I didn’t try because I filled up on a lot of the veggie options), and an abundance of desserts. Every went home full and happy. The mango sweet tea we had was good as well. Service was friendly. It was busy but we didn’t have a wait today. I’m assuming that will change once more people realize they are now open!
