The building is awesome and I was there at 2pm on a Wednesday so it was empty. Met someone for coffee and they serve Counter Culture coffee which is delicious. The server was attentive to refills and didn’t push us to order food. She offered us complimentary biscuits which were excellent and filling. I’ll definitely be back for more afternoon business meetings and hopefully lunch soon!

Excellent food and service! Had the Trout which was cooked to perfection. Our waiter was excellent and very helpful with the menu. The Ambience is nice — a bit loud but not annoying. Get there early because it is very popular with the locals. Will definately be coming back.

The food is good but too heavy for my taste. The fried green tomatoe was tasty. The sweet potato pancake with chicken was good but I recommend you share it with two people because it is HUGE! Most of my group got something with grits and the portions were so large that most people only ate about ¼ of it before feeling overwhelmed by the richness. Still the food is good if you are looking to cheat on your diet big time.

It was a long 1hr wait for a table of 3. But they text you on your phone when the tables are ready. No complaints service was good. The foods tasted delicious. I would be back to try other things

I gotta say I’m not a huge fan of this place. I went to the one in Asheville, NC for my bday and everyone was super friendly and nice. However, the one here in Franklin is the complete opposite. I came here for an interview and right off the bat I got a bad vibe. I waited an hour passed my initial interview time to speak to anyone. I wasted my time since I didn’t even get the job. Anyway, when I came one day to eat lunch I sat at the bar because it was packed and the bartender wasn’t friendly at all and she kept giving me blank, mean stares. I tipped her well when I closed tab because no matter what I always tip better than the average person. This girl didn’t deserve how much I tipped her let’s just say that. I left unhappy and weirded out at the same time. I have no idea why she wasn’t in a good mood but it was very unprofessional. Not going back

This is my first visit to Franklin’s Tupelo Honey. I have dined at the Chattanooga resturant numerous times and the original in Asheville, NC. I was disappointed as the evening menu is totally different than the breakfast/lunch menu. No BLT with egg and fried green tomato and somewhat limited options. The interior is open with nice appointments but not cozy as the other two I’ve visited. I had the chicken sandwich with bacon lettuce and tomato and ordered the Brussel salad as my side. A large piece of fried chicken with a horseradish sauce was delicious. The salad was very dry lacking enough dressing. Not up to what I have had at the other Tupelo Honeys. The service was okay. They apparently had a problem with the sound system as their phone would ring over the speakers above us. There was a loud grating intermittent noise that also came over the speaker. I will give it one more visit during the day as I hope it’s as good as their other locations. m

We really enjoyed our experience. Our server was really good and very much in tune with our needs and served us well on a busy night. We ordered the pecan encrusted goat cheese… oh my… yummy! We also ordered the wings and fried green tomatoes with goat cheese grits. Everything was perfectly prepared and presented. We were surprised the wing order was so big for a small plate. The tap craft beer selection was pretty good… even by my beer snob hubby’s standards. We brought two babies along. The host staff was sweet and accommodating. There were several other families there and everyone seemed to be having a good time. There was a strategy to their seating that was smart and didn’t make you feel like an outcast because you had kids. Great night overall.

The best brunch I have ever had. Service: awesome! Very friendly. Food: I ordered the Original Country Breakfast with Bacon. It was the best breakfast/brunch plate I have ever had. Everything had a great flavor, seasoned and cooked perfectly. The potatoes were incredible. The eggs were very tasty as well. You can tell they use great fresh product. Looking around before I got my food, I saw many burgers and other things coming out. They looked incredible. All I can think is almost everything else is just as good as my plate. Atmosphere: Very inviting. Very casual, a home feeling. I would very much recommend this spot.

Holy brunch. Tupelo Honey Café has the best brunch in Cool Springs. I’ve lived in the area for almost two years and most restaurants are corporate and lack that«local» flair. Tupelo Honey Café is a beacon of hope for the Franklin area. The only reason for 4 and not 5 stars is that I haven’t had dinner here yet. The service is amazing. I sat at the bar and both bartenders took amazing care of me. They were just the right amount of attentive. The mimosas are huge and amazing. I got the $ 10 mimosa because they donate money to help hungry people when you order one. They also have an $ 8 mimosa. The extra two dollars is worth it! You do a little good in the world and get more. The bartender suggested their special — some type of crab scramble. I decided the try their Eggs Benedict. They bring you a biscuit before your meal(I didn’t get my biscuit before because the food came out so quickly). I let the bartender know it was my first time and the manager come over to greet me. Excellent touch. The Eggs Benedict were amazing! Do not drive up to Nashville just to get some decent brunch. If you are in the Franklin/Brentwood area you should come here. I can’t wait to come back and try dinner!

Here for the first time for breakfast, and this place is impressive. From the service to the food it is top notch. Update, so far I’ve gone back twice for dinner, and it gets better and better, everything is great. Don’t forget to visit there web site to sign up for discounts and a free glass.

Feeling adventurous I veered from my usual Cool Springs launch spot into the Tupelo Honey Café. Tupelo is a chain, and it reads like a chain. There are touches that are sort of local-esque and charming, but in general it’s a very open restaurant that reads as a slightly cold and generic version of The Southern . Atmosphere aside, our food was delicious. But be prepared, it’s the type of food that will heavily stick to your insides. Meals start with Red Lobster inspired biscuits served with a blueberry jam and meals range from fried to deep fried to double fried with a side of fries. I picked the Farm Fresh Burger with pimento cheese and a side of Baked Mac-n-Cheese. The pimento is made in house and has a touch of spicy horseradish and the burger is so delicious that it doesn’t need ketchup.(That’s always my burger test, to me it isn’t good if it needs ketchup.) The mac and cheese I could have done without. It’s a massive serving topped with greasy breadcrumbs and it’s so incredibly heavy. I took one bite and felt full. The meal itself was already big enough. How big? So big that I had it for lunch, dinner, and breakfast the next day. Three meals. SCORE! Would I eat here again? I would — if in the correct part of Cool Springs and hungry for a burger. From a burger perspective, it is one of the best I’ve had in Cool Springs. Twin Peaks also has a good burger, though Tupelo is definitely more family friendly. As a side note, Twin Peaks also wins in the Bloody Mary category. Tupelo hand makes their mix but it’s really spicy, hot, and a little too thick. Twin Peaks’ is spicy as well, but has a brighter flavor and it’s loaded with bacon — among other things.

My group was impressed by the ambience of the restaurant. We also loved the Shrimp and Grits and the lemonade. I was fully prepared to be amazed when I ordered the Fried Chicken BLT+fries but I was pretty disappointed. The burger itself was ok, but the fries are what killed me. The fries were… Horrible to say the least. I requested ketchup, hoping some wonderful gourmet sauce would heal the terrible taste. Then the waiter brought out a plastic bottle of «Hunts ketchup, No High Fructose Corn Syrup!» Which I often buy to decorate the plates of children. My group loved their food, but I was dissatisfied by my burger. Still I would like to return and try something else. PS. Pretty pricey

I am sorry Tupelo, but you can’t serve a wilted spring greens salad as kale salad. And try to convince me it is red vein kale. Just admit you ran out.

Oh my GOD ya’ll!!! Veggie Bowl is, quite simply, the best thing I’ve eaten in a very long time. Had it last night, first time to Tupelo Honey, and still dreaming about it when I woke up this morning. The men in my life, heavy carnivores, even took several bites and agreed it was ‘Damn Good’. I’m afraid it’s possibly ruined me from ordering anything else from this new and welcome addition to Cool Springs. First, a base of creamy grits. NOT bland smooth grits, but stoneground with texture, then GOAT cheese blended in. Yes, the goat cheese really elevates the grits, adding a salty edge to the creamy homey flavor profile. Added to the bowl — smoky potliquery greens. These are greens your gramma made, so full of flavor and freshness — smoky and bright. Next the simple black eyed peas, but jazzed up with an accomplice of salsa verde. Hot mama! Finally, topped with lots of PERFECT fried okra. Each one crispy and crunchy, no slime. Each ingredient stands on its own in this bowl of veggie wonder, even when combined in every glorious bite. They get along great but still stand alone. Oh, and let’s not forget — this bowl is HUGE. I took home half — let’s see how it reheats later today. Ok, thanks for indulging my Ode to the Most Venerable Veggie Bowl. Other items we had were the appetizer Southern Chicken Tacos, a trio of tasty spicy tacos. My carnivore men each had the Shoo Mercy Burger — an impressively tall structure piled high with a big Angus beef patty, an equally big Fried Green Tomato, pimiento cheese, and lots of other hoohaws to made your tastebuds sing. They also had the tomato soup as a side(it was a very cold night outside) and was one of the best tomato soups we’ve had. Impressive cocktails, draft beers, and a small but ample wine list. Tupelo Honey Rye Ale on draft for one, and for me the Honeysuckle Lavender Flip(a little too tart and sour for me, so will try a different cocktail next time). Tupelo Honey serves modest Southern fare, only elevated to be fit for a king. Amazing flavors that just pop in everything we had. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself by going there!

My first experience of Tupelo Honey Café was their Chattanooga location the morning of our first wedding anniversary. Boy am I glad my husband and I discovered this gem. Satisfied by the experience there, we were floored to discover a few weeks later that they were opening one in our hometown. After patiently waiting… a YEAR, the Franklin, TN location is now open! Holy yummy-ness in my belly. Let me start off with the fried green tomatoes of my dreams. served over goat cheese grits. They were crunchy, creamy, and savory… couldn’t resist, yum yum! Best I’ve ever had, seriously! After reading the recipe in the complimentary cook book the manager(OTIS-Thank you!) brought to us while at Sunday brunch I was shocked to find tofu as one of the ingredients in the mixture that is the base to the delicious fried green tomato dish, interesting and I love it. Another app that the entire table tried and LOVED was the Pecan-Crusted Goat Cheese– grilled apples, sweet braised figs, served with a crostini… I’m salivating!(I am very picky about goat cheese and their’s was to die for, very mild). For my main brunch course I choose The Shoo Mercy Omelet(without ham) — hearty omelet served with ham, maple peppered bacon, fried green tomatoes, pickled jalapeño and pimento cheese, holy yummy-ness AGAIN!(Obviously I couldn’t get enough of the fried green tomatoes and pimento cheese! To sum up… GOTOTUPELOHONEYCAFEIMMEDIATELY! Tip for the table– Everyone order something different and you can taste each others, we did this and I was able to taste and ENJOY6 other dishes, all of which were amazing.

We stopped in for brunch with an hour wait! Highly suggest making reservations! I had the Fried Chicken & Biscuits with gravy. It was absolutely heavenly. I was left with a lot of biscuit at the end, as there were four of them underneath my chicken breast. So I felt extra guilty for not finishing it all! Also stole a couple potato cracklins off my boyfriends plate, and ended up ordering a side of them because they were so good! All in all, a wonderful experience!

Months ago I heard Tupelo Honey Café was opening a location in Franklin, TN and my taste buds were immediately transported back to June 2014 when I visited the original in Asheville, NC and I began to drool! So I had extremely high expectations when walking into brunch this past Sunday morning. Our group of 7 was blown away with the food, service, and manager [hi Otis!]. Some of our group had been to the soft dinner opening last month, another couple had been to the Chattanooga, TN location, and one was a newbie to Tupelo Honey. Across the board, the food exceeded our expectations. Those who had been to dinner at this location noted the brunch was much better than what they had before. TH are known for their homemade biscuits and they go fast so be patient as the kitchen cranks them out. I highly recommend making reservations! Love It: The fried green tomatoes [$ 9], pecan-crusted goat cheese, shoo mercy omelet [$ 14], the shrimp and grits, sweet potato pancake topped with peach butter and spiced pecans[$ 9], fried chicken and biscuits. The food is made from scratch and sourced by trusted farms and bakeries from NC to SC. Like It: The size of the restaurant and bar is huge and the décor is lovely! The happy hour selection looks unbeatable so we will be back to try it. Working On It: More than just one server per table, they work as a team. The service can be really strong and then slack for a bit, I think this may have something to do with working the kinks out in a new restaurant — it was only their second weekend for brunch. I have to say that they quickly attended to any request.

When I heard Tupelo Honey Café was opening a location just five miles from where I live and work, I was PUMPED. Dan and I ate at the original in Asheville on a trip back in 2013, and I really loved it. I randomly saw something on social media to enter to win tickets to attend a VIP opening event; when I didn’t win that, I was given a chance to make a reservation for their limited soft opening. Disclaimer: Dan and I were given a free meal(minus alcohol and gratuity) from a limited menu as part of the restaurant’s soft opening. We were not asked to review our experience in exchange for our meal, and all opinions are my own! The restaurant is located in the space on Meridian Blvd. in Cool Springs that used to house Bosco’s. The area is a popular place for business travelers and folks who work in Cool Springs, so I think it will do well with the lunchtime crowd, plus weekend family hordes. They’ve definitely transformed the space. It’s so much more bright and open than Bosco’s was! There’s a beautiful bar, and I was impressed by the bar menu… Not only were there a TON of cocktails, but their beer menu(draft, bottle, and can) was extensive. Dan brews beer for a living, so it’s not easy for a «chain» to get his seal of approval on the beer list… Tupelo Honey not only offered local craft beer, but harder-to-get beers and out-of-state craft too. Very nice! Since this was the soft opening, our meal was free, minus any booze. I noticed that different tables received different menus, in order to help put the new kitchen and waitstaff through their paces. We had a 12:15pm reservation on a Saturday, so I was a little surprised to receive a brunch menu. But if you know me, you know I will eat breakfast foods to my heart’s content no matter the hour. We were given one choice of small plate to start; we chose the Appalachian Egg Rolls. I highly recommend these. Filled with pulled pork and pickled onions, I devoured mine; I don’t even like eating onions, and I couldn’t help myself here. And they were huge. That said, the price ring on these was $ 11, as much as some entrees, but I’d argue you’d be satisfied to eat ½ or even one of these and split the rest. Theirs are some of my favorite biscuits in the Franklin area. Fresh jam too. Solid, and I didn’t leave any crumbs behind. I chose to have the Tupelo Genuine Country Breakfast, because it seemed pretty classic, and I wanted to try the potato cracklins. The potatoes were amazing. Eggs and bacon were tasty too, but these potatoes are the star of the show. Love. They requested that we order different entrees, but that was not an issue given the awesome choices. Dan selected the Southern Fried Chicken BLT. This HUGE sandwich consisted of buttermilk fried chicken breast, maple-peppered bacon, and fixings. He chose macaroni and cheese as his side. HUGE portion sizes, and the bite of mac that I stole was good too. Dan has been disappointed by restaurant mac ‘n’ cheese in the past, but he really liked this one. We also peeked over at the table next to ours, which got a different menu for soft opening, and I definitely saw things that I want to try sometime too! And since a shared dessert was on the menu, we split the delicious banana pudding. I have a feeling we’re going to be visiting this place pretty regularly! Can’t wait to get back for some more Tupelo Honey. Special thanks to our server, Lucas, who was an excellent guide to the new place.

I attended tonight’s soft opening. It was absolutely an amazing experience! From the warm biscuits and honey to the chicken tacos to the fried shrimp, the food was incredible! We were greeted by a friendly host and seated promptly. The atmosphere was warm, the décor was lush, and lighting was cozy. We were waited on quickly and our server was very knowledgable about the menu options. Although it was extremely busy, the staff was quick to meet our every need. All in all, it was a wonderful evening, and I’ll be happy to return for another meal!
