Decent enough apartment, but honestly … for the rent on a nice apartment here with a garage, IMO, it’s just not a long term smart financial decision. Even so, good place for short term. Staff is great. Location is convenient.

What makes renting from Farms at Cool Springs better than renting from any of the other apartment complexes in the surrounding area? It comes down to many of the quality of life differences that Farms at Cool Springs offers that are not offered or available at the other Complexes, things like short term leases, washer-drier hook-ups, garages attached to the apartments, good and fast maintenance, close to shopping and gas stations and a wide range of restaurants. For your money you will not find a better property in the local area.

We recently moved into Alara Farms after extensively researching areas and apartments to live in. We got a decent deal for a 1BR(834 sqft, 715 $) and decided to take it. The only bitch was my commute to work which is about 30 minutes one way. The model apartment they showed was pretty decent and we assumed our apartment would be similar. Similar, but not same. The floors creak, the AC squeaks, the fridge whirs, etc. Lots of ambient noises, but the house is in good shape. Maintenance was called to address the A/C squeaking. He came, inspected, offered that he didn’t knw what was going on and said his superior would come. Still waiting, no progress on that. The people living here are gregarious and pet-crazy. Lots of dogs being walked at all times of the day. The pool is nice and there is a hot spa. The gym is so-so, bare bones. Some dumbells and a few exercise machines. The business center is a joke. One out of the 4 computers work and that too barely. The area around is really nice and pleasant. Green sidewalks and lots of shops. Overall, we are glad this was our first apartment, but I don’t know if we would want to renew our lease for the next year. Probably the Icon! Edit: Winter is here now and my heating bills have literally been doubling every month. Every window has a draft and no amount of heat shrinking sealing is doing any good, not to mention, the house barely feels warm. Thank god, this isn’t Ohio or Michigan. There would have been icicles in the room. It’s okay for our floorboards to be creaking, but the ones upstairs either creak extra or giants live there. There is not a moment’s quietness as they plod back and forth upstairs.
