I was in the parking lot at burger up which is by flag world in Franklin, TN just now. I was on the right side of the entrance and simply came to a stop to wait for the truck coming from the other direction to pass me so I could then park in the parking space. The truck then stopped along side me and angrily said: «Is there a problem?»…and I said: «ummm.no, just waiting here for you to move past me so I can park.» He then says again in an angry tone: «Well mam if u were on the right side of the street I could get by you.» And then proceeded to say: «You Asshole!». And then drove off. And that point, yes, I did say: «Fuck off.» Here’s the kicker: The big white truck had advertisements with Flag World all over it and a number on the back window… so obviously, the older bald guy that was driving it must be an owner or manager. I am a local small business owner myself and know word-of-mouth spreads like wildfire… Specially negative experiences. Also here is a lesson for that guy, if you are a business owner or anyone who works at a company who has road rage or a bad temper, you should never advertise your company on your car or truck. I had to give them 1 star only because Unilocal is making me in order to post this.

This place is great! Great selection of flags and fun decorative items for the home. I was looking for something very specific and I found it here! An actual flag«superstore», come here first for any kind of flag

Flag World is an interesting Broadway souvenir shop. As its name implies, the store sells a whole lot of flags. Flag World also carries a wide assortment of Army, Navy, Air Force, pins, stickers, license plates, and other random military objects(definitely a Semper Fi stop). Along with the usual redneck pride souvenirs, you will also find every possible«Parking for… only» sign.

Oh, and do they ever have flags. But they don’t stop there, and that is what I really like about them. Just doing flags would be easy, but they also do all kinds of other gifts. Yard spinners are in no short supply here, but the same goes for patches, pins and bumper stickers. Believe it or not, what I actually ended up walking away with was a pair of placemats for my daughter; the kind where you can learn your states, and stuff like that. Wide, wide selection here.

There’s one thing I really appreciate about this place: they have a truly unique take on the souvenir shop. Instead of just selling the shot glasses and t-shirts you’d expect at a tourist joint(although they do sell plenty of those), Flag World focuses on flags, maps and pins from various countries around the world. When I first walked into this store, I noticed that they had dozens of very large flags from American to Jamaican to(of course) Rebel. They also have a very large display case full of various pins, many of them military pins and patches. They have commemorative pins from Gulf War veterans and the like, and their selection is pretty extensive. As I mentioned, Flag World sells the souvenirs you’d expect from a place on Broadway: t-shirts with goofy(or perhaps slightly lewd) phrases and images on them, et cetera. But at least they carry a huge inventory of unique items. Now I know where I’m going next time I need a massive Haitian flag.
