Amazingly inexpensive. Shabby but clean. Beautifully spiced. Friendly, attentive service. A really good variety of food on the buffet. I’m going again today(:

This place is closed for remodeling. Don’t make my mistake and go there expecting it to be open as they claim.

The food was great! Not too spicy and not too mild, just right. They normally don’t deliver to our house in Oak Creek, but made an exception for us because we ordered enough to make it worth their time. It did take awhile to get here, but it was well worth the wait and the people I spoke to on the phone(and who delivered) where very, very nice. I will definitely be ordering from them again!

Delicious! Just moved into the area and was a little weery of trying it out(it’s in a strip mall and doesn’t look to appealing from the outside) but the food was absolutely delicious! My hubby and I tried the chili paner and the beef korma. The paner was good but the beef korma was hands down one of the best Indian dishes I’ve had. We rounded out our meals with some samosas and naan. Looking forward to trying out the buffet. Give it a try… I doubt you’ll regret it!

This is our go-to Indian restaurant. Not only is it close by, the price is decent and the food is so tasty! The service is great too. They always throw in some extra sweets when we eat there because we eat there so much. We haven’t had the chance to try the buffet yet but I’m sure it would just as good.

Took the family here for dinner Friday night. The food was delicious and greatly exceeded expectations. We had the tandoori chicken, seasoned perfectly and prepared moist and juicy. So many serve it bone dry. We ordered the chicken Masala both mild for the kids and spicy for those of us with cast iron stomaches. Both were delicious. The Mango lassi’s were excellent. Some felt the naan bread was«just ok» but I thought all 3 varieties were very good. Ambiance is what you’d expect from a strip mall diner, though appeared very clean and maintained. Service was friendly, and we were treated with complimentary Indian dessert balls. All in all, a very enjoyable dining experience. BTW, my wife and I moved back to Wi after 5 years in Manhattan. This was by far the best Indian cuisine we’ve had since returning.

Don’t judge a book by its cover because the exterior doesn’t accurately reflect the tasty goodness inside. The name Indian Buffet is as generic as them come but this is definitely unique! For $ 10 on the weekend and $ 8 during the week you get a complete smörgåsbord of Indian food. The entrees trend toward non-vegetarian and mostly chicken. There are well over 15+ different hot dishes on the buffet along with a cold section. The day we dined they had a garlic/ginger chicken soup that was light and fragrant. The selections were endless including the traditional Tandoori chicken, chicken tikka all the way to a delicious spiced goat. They served regular rice and a veggie rice. Everything was made from scratch and wasn’t greasy. For dessert they made a mango ice cream that wasn’t too sweet and really cleansed your palate after eating all of the spicy food. This is a place you can easily drive past and overlook; however, I recommend you get your stretchy eating pants on and dive in for some fantastic inexpensive Indian food. Don’t let the décor scare you away!

Being that it was my first time, I called ahead and asked if they had a buffet. Well, umm. It’s in the name. So don’t do that. Now on to the food! Glorious! We started with a delightfully fresh chicken garlic ginger soup. The flavors were bright and the broth was nice and light. The buffet items were plentiful and equally appealing but this is where I UnilocalFail: I love Indian food but can never remember the exact names of the dishes! I’ll try though. The chicken Vindaloo, palak paneer, chicken tikka, naan, samosas and the zillion other items they had up there were all delicious and really tasted like home cooking. I usually pass on samosas because they can be so filling and sometimes yucky greaseballs(see my second review for Café India in Bay View… bleh) but these were great! The desert options were mango ice cream and those floating, honey coated, round, donut-ish things. Sorry, Indians, I will learn these names. There was also a sweet carrot thing. I guess I’ll have to go back and redeem myself. The staff was attentive and very personable, the price is soooooo right and the food is great! It’s not much on ambience but you won’t mind. Go there. You’ll love it.

Another place I tried, thanks to a review by Pam M! I came here with my sister for dinner, as we wanted to try someplace new. This place, while rather dated and not very«Indian» on the inside, serves delicious and flavorful food. Also, I should have written this review soon after my visit, but I put it off and now I’ve forgotten the names of a few things. Upon sitting down, we were brought a plate of very thin, crisp, I’ll call it bread, but that’s not really what it was. Accompanying the«bread» were three sauces: mango chutney, raita and a green thin sauce. I’m not a huge mango fan, so I mostly ate the other two, which were very good, if not a bit sloppy. When it came time to order, I opted for the coconut shrimp and chicken. I can’t remember what my sister ordered, but in addition to her entrée, she ordered a plate of Aloo Paratha, naan bread filled with potatoes, for us to share. Our dishes arrived and, I have to say, like most places that have buffets, the dinner portion was small for the price. Mine came with a separate container of rice so that I could dole out as much of both the rice and chicken and shrimp as I wanted, but as usual, there was more rice than entrée. This is the sole reason for the 3 stars. The flavor of our dishes was spot on, however, and I definitely would recommend this place for pretty good Indian food. Next time, however, I think I’ll try the buffet. 141⁄2015

I called in an order for pickup here. It was ready when I got there and the workers were very nice. I ordered the garlic naan and the malai kofta(fried veggie balls in gravy w/nuts) which came with rice. Malai kofta is my go-to Indian dish and it seemed to compare to others I’ve tried. It came with 4 large balls with a good amount of sauce. I prefer long grain rice but this still had good flavor. Sadly, the garlic naan was a huge disappointment. This may be because I took it for takeout and fresh bread does not always travel well but I found it thin and chewy when what I love is doughy and soft. Happy they included the 3 chutneys in my takeout. Will be back and next time I will dine in!

Came in Late near closing and they made some of the best true authentic home made Indian food I have ever had. Every thing is fresh, tender and scratch cooked. Delicious. Even the rice. You will taste it and know it is truly hand crafted with care. The meat and beef is tender and even the Naan was super original. Make the trip for lunch or better yet, come for dinner and have a damn near private dining experience! Because of traffic and endless construction, I don’t usually«do south side» beyond Bayview but this was ridiculous and I will be back a ton. On second thought, come for the buffet so too many of you don’t come here and screw up my private chef’s table vibe! Seriously, check this place out.

Went for dinner, restaurant was empty on a Saturday night. Food was delicious. Service was very good and proportions were ample. I ordered the beef korma and a side of garlic naan.

My partner and I dined here for the buffet and we weren’t very impressed. The quality of the food was quite bad. Nothing tasted fresh and the chicken was very dry and old tasting. The actuall establishment itself was dirty and just felt very unheignic. We love Indian food, but felt the food here lacked flavor and qualify

I highly recommend this place! Why? First off lunch buffet was only $ 9! Secondly, the lamb and tand. chix’n falls off the bone like butter!(Most places the chix’n is dry and the lamb is tough while Indian Buffet perfects them both). Lastly, the host was just friendly and we were never neglected(for what seemed to be an average busy day) in terms of bussing, refilling water, and making sure we were satisfied with taste. We went on a Wednesday afternoon and while there was a table of two before us, we thought very little of this place thinking what all the hype on Unilocal was about. Then, noon struck, and the groups of professionals, a family birthday, among a couple dates bombarded this tiny place; needless to say that this place earned its obvious reputation. Now I’m not an Indian food enthusiast but I would say this place left a lasting impression in comparison to Mahajara’s price, food, & service. So I would absolutely come here again when I’m in the area looking for an Indian Buffet fix.

Very surprisingly good Indian food discovered in a weird strip mall in Franklin! This place was really good. For sure as good as the Indian places on the east side(Maharaja, etc). I would say better. The atmosphere is nothing great, but the food was excellent. Very authentic. Looking forward to much delicious takeout from here in the future as I’m moving a little closer out this way.

First I don’t do buffets if you can’t tell by my lack of reviews on one before this one. I get filled up very easy so a buffet is a waste for me because I can’t take advantage of them. I was full before my first plate was done and I couldn’t get through the second one. Looking at my pictures of the two plates you may think that’s not so much but for me it is. The reason I decided to go to this buffet was that I could sample all the Indian foods that I don’t know anything about and get a better idea of what Indian food is because I do Indian maybe once a year. I walked in and I was told to sit anywhere I wanted. The inside didn’t look like much and looked like it was thrown together. The wall paper stops inches from the ceiling. There was only Indian people eating so I knew it would good. The staff was generally concerned with customer satisfaction and came over many times. I grabbed my plate and went over to the buffet. I asked the woman if I could take pictures to show everyone and she thanked me and one by one she opened everything so I could take the pictures. I asked what the most popular beer was so I could sample and I was given Taj Mahal. It was smooth and seemed like a light beer. I’m not going to pretend to remember everything I sampled so I’m going to give an overview. I liked about 90% of what they had. There was chicken and goat dishes along with vegetarian items. There were soups and sweets. I opted for the spicy chutney and my nose started running. I tried to take as many pictures but people were blocking some areas but I got most of it. This will please any fan of Indian food. The nan was plentiful and when you run out they bring over more. Over all the service was good and the food was good. I liked the option of sampling a wide variety of the menu for one price. I think anyone who likes Indian food will enjoy Indian buffet. I like the place and I’m a fan.

My husband has wanted to try this place for a while and we decided to go tonight. He was excited about it and I was NOT looking forward to it. I am definitely a fan now though and I am glad we came here. It was the 1st time trying Indian food for the both of us and the guy who took our order was very helpful and helped us pick what we would like by asking us a few simple questions and we both LOVED what we ordered. The prices aren’t bad either. It’s comparable to what you would pay for 2 people at Olive Garden or a place similar. We already referred people we know to come here and we will continue to recommend it to everyone as well as return here ourselves.

Visited today for the lunch buffet. Verdict: very delicious. It’s not much to look at and by the décor it looks like it was formerly a Chinese restaurant. But they just opened, and seem to be busy, so perhaps a renovation will be coming down the line. When we walked in and saw a number of Indian families dining, we knew it was going to be legit. There is a good selection on the buffet, both vegetarian and meat dishes. There was a yellow daal(somewhat bland, the one miss of the day), veggie biriyani and basmati rice, saag paneer, a goat curry, chana, two soups, aloo gobi, tandoori chicken and kabob, chicken tikka masala, pakora and samosa. Plus a few other hot things I’m not remembering. There’s also a salad bar that’s really a pickle and chutney and condiment bar, that also happens to have some wilty looking iceberg and bottled salad dressing. Not really sure why that was even there, honestly. Never saw anyone eat any salad. But the chutneys/hot sauce/raitas/pickles were all tasty. Then of course there’s the super sweet desserts, including mango custard, rice pudding, carrot halva, gulab jamun, and various little sweet bits. You can’t really go wrong with all that for $ 8 or $ 9(weekends). Everything was replenished quickly and since it was all in half pans, nothing sat around for too long. The favorites were the saag paneer and chicken tikka masala. The goat was very tender, but chopped small so watch out for tiny bones. I wished there was a vindaloo on the line, though, since everything was a bit mild. The samosa was massive and stuffed with potato and pea masala. You also apparently get fresh naan with the buffet, however we never saw it, but we saw people eating it. We asked about it when we were paying, and was told that they bring it out to each table. So they accidentally overlooked our table, which was disappointing. But she was very apologetic and even offered to get some to go for us. Accidents happen, no big deal, and she tried to make it right. But if you don’t get naan, just know you may have to ask for it. Water was refilled without asking a few times, and every staff person was extremely nice. We’ll definitely return.

Wow, Franklin has an Indian restaurant?! Could it be that I will now eat at Taco Bell LESS? I came for a lunch break from work. I was very pleased to see several options on the buffet and several veggie options. The daal was spicy! I like spicy so that’s ok for me. Yesssss… Mushrooms! They tasted fresh(had them in San Diego last week and swear they were canned). And one of my other faves: palak paneer(spinach & paneer cheese cubes). And a different cabbage dish(aloo) that I haven’t tried — very good! Also had a few chicken dishes and a goat. A bit of veggies in the salad section makes a healthy nice side with the meal, as well. The samosas for me weren’t my favorite. I didn’t like the all of the cumin seeds. For me, Kavo Apna on 5th and Becher has the best samosas in Mke, if anyone finds themselves in that area. So Happy to see this place here! The owners really care about their customers, too! Looking forward to many lunches here :)
