Great hole in the wall taco shop! Looks empty on the outside and if your into exploring different foods. This place is pretty original for not having any Mexican food in Franklin Service is great.

I was born and raised in Southern California and I have had a hard time finding good Mexican food in the Franklin area. I’ve spent a lot of time in Mexico and San Diego and have very high expectations and this place is now my goto spot. I highly suggest the ceviche tostadas, carnitas, and huaraches.

This place, tho unassuming, serves great food. The tacos are served plain but there is a salsa cart with three green salsas, two red, plus pico, pickled veggies, cilantro and more. The staff is friendly and the food is inexpensive and delicious. Well worth checking out, this place stands tall in Franklin.

Unassuming hole-in-the-wall restaurant in a strip mall. Small noisy interior with 2 TVs one showing Latin Music Videos… but you couldn’t hear them because of the other loud Latin music blasting over the speaker system from a different source. Closed Captioning wasn’t on… so who knows what the TV music sounded like. The Good: Very friendly, congenial, attentive service. Inexpensive. The Not so Good: Complimentary stale tortilla chips(although they were warm… but definitely had stayed out too long somewhere.) served with thin, spicy salsa. Empanadas(decent size) — were fine, except that we ordered one Carne Asada(ok) and one Chicken(bland). However, they both came with cheese filling in addition to the meat. No description of the cheese addition on the(limited0 menu. That would not be a good surprise for someone who is allergic to dairy products! … Empanadas also came with a paltry few tablespoons of salad(ok, let’s call it a garnish) along with with a tablespoon of sour cream.(See photo I’ve posted.) Worse: We ordered several Tacos: Chicken, Carnitas, and Tongue. Best of the bunch was the Tongue – very tender and flavorful. Chicken was pretty bland and the Carnitas were a bit fatty – but tender. The tacos were served naked… no toppings, no garnish, no nuttin’ else. And they were greasy… enough to soak through the paper they were served on.(We both ended up adding some of the salsa to our tacos just to kick in some additional flavor and heat.) Perhaps the most telling clue about this place today was the sign on the door advertising for a cook. Hate to say it, but I just can’t recommend this place except for the service and reasonable prices. For food… sorry.

Delicious chips and salsa as starters! We had the Al Pastor, Chicharron, Chicken, Chorrizo and our toddler had the cheese quesadilla. All were delicioso! Prices and services were good too! Will definitely be back!
