Salon walked me despite having an appointment and sitting for 40 minutes with no explanation or
Concern for lateness. Had to ask what was going on with stylist. Total waste of my time and embarrassing disregard for a new client. Absolutely no follow up by management to try to make the mishap right.
That’s okay! Went to Dion’s and had the best service including color, cut and treatment ever!

I’ve never been much for ritzy places, and my initial reaction to entering the salon was that it was one of this crazy ritzy, expensive places where you don’t feel comfortable. BUT, I was completely wrong! Very friendly people who have made customer service a huge priority. They asked me if I wanted something to drink– Including coffee and wine. They have cucumber infused water which was fantastic. The staff was right on top of offering you a refill and getting things cleaned up afterwards. The reason I came was to get a Deva cut. I find this the best cut for my curly hair. They finally have to Deva stylists– Teresa and Patience. Patience was amazing!!! I had an interview this week and couldn’t get in as a new customer for a cut for another month. But I came in for their free consultation and Patience fit me in for the cut anyways. She was fantastic. Even though she had to do some finagling to fit me in. She answered all my questions, made some good recommendations that I’ll be trying between now and my next cut, and never made me feel like I was being rushed out the door for the next client to come in. CURLY HAIR PEOPLE: try a Deva cut and the DevaCurl line of products. I fought my curls forever. I’ve tried so many curly hair products, but wasn’t happy because they’d always weight my hair down. But Deva? It’s awesome! Yes, the cut is expensive at $ 100, BUT you typically don’t go back for 6 months, so it’s not that bad in the end. (And did I mention that I’m thrilled there are now 2 Deva cut stylists in Nashville? A few years ago the closest one was in Alabama! So please go visit Teresa or Patience for a Deva Curl cut. Tell ‘em I sent you!

It has been extremely difficult for me to find a stylist that is good at natural hair, so naturalistas this review is for you :)
Patience not only did a wonderful job on my hair, but she also took the time to explain how to care for my hair on my own. You can absolutely tell that she has a true passion for bringing the very best out of your hair. The service and quality of work that I received from both Patience and Juel salon staff is what I’ve been searching for in the Nashville area for years. She is not only great at what she does, but she has a wonderful personality. Her name totally suits her! Let me also add that her expertise goes beyond just natural hair. She’s just an all around great hair stylist. I’m so blessed to have found Patience and Juel salon. I can’t wait until my next appointment :) #TeamNatural

Juel knocked my socks off. I really, really, really liked it there and am not quite sure how to describe the energy. I liked my stylist Stephen instantly. He was warm and sweet and sincere, as were the receptionists who greeted me with a smile and immediately offered me a drink when I walked in. Everyone was so friendly and engaged, full of warm, welcome energy as if I’d been going there for years. Stephen listened and had incredible knowledge about all things hair and coached me through my entire cut on things I could do for every problem I brought up. He told me that I didn’t have to have shorter, «Christmas tree layered» hair to have volume, which wasn’t what I had heard from other stylists I’ve been to.
If you’re looking for a gorgeous salon with great ambiance that doesn’t have its nose in the air, this is the place.

After a disappointing experience at what was once my favorite salon in Cool Springs, I found Juel in Franklin after scouring Unilocal and the internet and, now, I’m not going anywhere else. It’s right across from the Franklin Farmer’s Market.
I had just moved back to Tennessee after being away for over 20 years. I had had my hair long and very short and all parts in between. I had pixie cuts in Vientiane, Laos, corporate cuts in Bangkok, my first must-​have color job in New Jersey from an Italian mensch who knew how to give me an edgy pixie cut and who cut off post pregnancy hair that was down to the middle of my back. My sister is a meticulous Aveda stylist with 30 years of experience who tut tuts over my hair whenever I see her and with swift strokes of her shears brings my pixie back into shape and then we celebrate with a glass of wine.
So, with all that, you can imagine my despair at having to find a new stylist and being somewhat of a local girl who used to wear my hair big and coiffed and high maintenance, I was really worried that I wouldn’t find what I really wanted now – someone who could give me an edgy, minimalist pixie cut (not exactly at the top of the list of favorite feminine hair styles in Franklin TN) and who would help me maintain my natural color and not take advantage of me in a moment of weakness, on a hot July day, and send me skipping out of the salon with frosted tips and flinging me into mourning my weakness like a bad hangover the next day. I’ve seen frosted tips look great on many women. It wouldn’t look good on me at all. I’d look like a sick puffer fish.
So, I called several salons and chatted and interviewed. «Do you have a stylist who loves to cut short hair?» At only one salon of the 4 I called did I speak to someone who not only said «yes“emphatically, but also shared that she had just had her incredibly thick and beautiful dark head of hair shorn down to a damn beautiful pixie, but also that the woman who did the deed worked right there and would be happy to see me.
The woman who specializes in short cuts here is Elise Hughes. She’s my stylist.
Elise truly listens. She’s not doing her own thing to me. She listens, guides, suggests… if you want a suggestion. She has high integrity and is that stylist who isn’t going to blow smoke up your arse. If it’s not for you, she’ll tell you. But you have to listen for it. She’s kind, soft spoken, and polite. She’s a former dancer with fiery red hair and pretty tattoos. She sounds lovely, doesn’t she?
The folks at Juel take very good care of me.
The salon space is beautiful. Airy, flooded with light. Bustling. There is also a quiet space where you can lounge away from the bustle, too. As soon as you get changed into your smock, you’ll have a glass of wine in hand and be led to your favorite place to relax.
And they’re not limited to hair here. They do facials, eyelash extensions (love this but I have allergies *sniff*), and some other discreet things…

Love Juel Salon and love love love my stylist Jason Kennedy! When my old stylist moved out of state I freaked out because I had been going to her forever, but I found Jason on the recommendation of a friend and I’m sooooo glad I did! He fit me in right before my birthday and made my hair look amazing! I always get hilights and a cut and he by far did the best blonde I have EVER had! The cut was great too. He took his time and gave me an awesome style and showed me how to maintain my look at home. Plus he gives the best head massages and is super sweet! Go to Jason you will love him!

Best salon in Franklin! Actually, I’ll take that a step further… all of Nashville! Great amenities like cucumber water or hot tea when you arrive. Followed by what can only be described as a first class salon experience. Jade is wonderful for hair color!

I went to Juel Salon to see Meagan for lash extensions… WOW! What an experience! She did a fantastic job. A week later and I still can’t stop looking at my lashes in the mirror. I’m very impressed with the salon, as well as the fact that there is a full-​service spa in the salon, too! Great experience. Ask for Meagan for the best lashes EVER!

Steven Lhamon is amazon!!! He has created the most amazing and natural looking blonde hair for me. I have tried a few stylists in and around Nashville and Steven is by far the best. He listens and takes his time to make sure that I am completely happy every time. He has a very loyal client in me from here on out!

I’ll always be indebted Juel stylist Steven Lhamon who is the first person in the history of my hair to ever cut it the correct way (dry). He is so talented, forward-​thinking and extremely precise. I’ve seen him add pizazz to drab hair with only a few snips and I never worry that he’ll hack-​up my subtle style with drastic changes unless that’s what I want. He’s truly impressive. I won’t go to anyone else.
