The first time I shopped at this Menards, the employees were super helpful. My second experience was very upsetting and I never want to shop here again. I will drive out of my way and shop at Lowe’s. There was an employee at the customer service counter that was very rude. I wanted to return a $ 10 item(with receipt) and also pay for $ 25 of purchases. She treated me like a criminal and would not finish the transaction, saying that no ones knows if I actually came into the store with the $ 10 item. She accused me of stealing(She did this in front of people and my 4 years old daughter). I could not wait around since I had to leave in time to pick up my other daughter from a bus stop. So Menards, if you care about how customers are treated. .. . 1. Have signs posted in the entrance and exit so people know what they need to do when they come in with items to be returned. 2. Train employees how to treat customers and not accuse them of stealing.

I had another price issue. This time is was for an adjustment. I bought dinnerware for regular price and a week later it went on sale. Most stores would give you the sale price. Not Menards, I had to return the items and repurchase them… They said it was store policy. It is very inconvenient to shop at Menards. Most times to get a sale price you have to go through a mail in rebate process. Ugh.

Worst service I have ever experienced. It took asking 4 different guys to find a simple item. None of them were willing to walk us to it either. The one lady we asked for help in the store not only took us to the item but helped us pick out the right one. I think the men need more customer service training and the women there need a raise!

This menard’s is very convenient and has some great deals each week. Their lumber price do change weekly. They have a lot of rebate items which seem to be a great deal … Need to make sure you send in rebate forms. Rebates take about 5weeks to receive back ANDONLY can be used in a menards store.

Now that we own a house, my husband and I practically live here! There are very few things that one cannot find at this store… I mean they even sell clothing and purses! I particularly enjoy the nursery area and the holiday decorations, but I have also found some very nice storm doors and faucets here as well. Menards doesn’t carry all the brands that the other big box stores do and those stores don’t carry all the brands that Menards does, so it really pays to shop around. The store is huge and easy to get around… plenty of space in the aisles. Returns are so simple and there is a kiosk near the return counter to look up old receipts. The only negative about this store is that they allow Dish to recruit new subscribers by approaching unsuspecting customers. You can usually avoid this by walking along the back of the food aisles until you reach the next main aisle. I don’t know if I’m «saving big money» at Menards, what with the new house, but I am having fun fixing it up and Menards has definitely been a big help in doing that! 14⁄2014

I love this Menards! The staff is always very helpful. It’s like an all in one store… Groceries, lumber, toys, gardening items. What more could you ask for? Definitely my go to store for just about everything.

I hadn’t visited this Menard’s location yet, but I found myself not finding the specific baby proofing item I needed at some other stores in the area, so I took a shot in the dark and tried this Menard’s. I’m glad I did. Not only did they have the baby proofing item I needed, they were way beyond helpful. I walked around the store for a short while until I found a couple employees. I asked were if they had baby proofing items, and they practically jumped over each other for the chance to help me. Not only did they tell me they did have the items, they told me the exact number of the aisle they were in and what products were directly across from the baby proofing stuff. I expect this type of service from the small local hardware stores, but definitely not from the big box hardware stores. Other hardware stores in Franklin, this is how it’s done(see my past reviews). This is on «Speedway» Drive, but they have a Kwik Trip? Blasphemy! This is now probably my favorite hardware store in the area. To bad it’s about 25 minutes away from me.

As far as Menards go, this is the location to go to, the isles are roomy and the staff is helpful. I usually find what I’m going in for, which leads to my one minor issue with the store. They do usually have what I’m looking for, however the quality is what I question. I feel the store is great for some items, but they really are cheap for others. Sometimes a poor mans hardware store. But overall, I do use the store a lot and spend a lot of my money there.

For me they need to change their theme song to Spend Big Money At Menards. I have a serious problem going here and not finding at least one or two things to buy. I love Menards, at least this location over the othe one in my area. They not only have everything for your house projects but they have all kinds of other stuff you didn’t even know you needed until you saw it and had to have it. Workers are sometimes sparse and you need to hunt one down but that is better than being bugged by them constantly. We have definitely kept them in business with our purchases through the years. Perhaps I should have looked into stock options back in the day, I’d be rich!

This Menards is a good choice for a local home improvement store. As a regional chain, Menards expanded significantly into the Milwaukee area long before Home Depot and Lowe’s, but the older stores are frequently small, somewhat cramped, and confusingly laid out. This Menards suffers none of that, being a recent addition to the chain. Menards apparently purchased the old Hales Corners Speedway property, a large lot, and has a sign offering outlots, which they appear to have plenty of land for. That spaciousness carries through to the inside, where they’ve got a huge store that is well-stocked, and definitely a strong competitor for Home Depot or Lowe’s. While I prefer a true hardware store like Ace where possible, it strikes me that Menards(while definitely a home improvement store) is a little closer to being a hardware store than HD or Lowe’s, offering specialty hardware that neither HD or Lowe’s seems to, etc. Ace has never been that good for«big lumber,» so most major home improvement projects see me stopping at Menards. That said, it probably pays to compare. We were recently remodeling a room, tore out the floor trim, and sanded down and refinished the floor. Hands down, Menards had the best deal on a Varathane floor sander rental, but their actual stock of wood trim was pretty slim, with several pieces that were in the wrong slot, and the remaining few had a lot of damage(splits, etc). We ended up wiping out their viable stock, which was just enough to finish the job. Menards sells in precut sections(8 ft, 12 ft, etc) which means they stock less of any given length. By comparison, Home Depot sells by the linear foot, and allows you to cut it in the store, minimizing scrap. Because HD only stocks a single length and lets you cut it, that may be what we do next time. Some of the HD stuff looked really poor too, but there was definitely a lot stocked. In the end, Menards is similar to HD and Lowe’s, except that it has more of a local, friendly feel to it. Unfortunately, there are things that each of these stores carry that the others do not, so it pays to shop around a bit.
