I stopped in to Rock Paper Scissors while looking to add some accessories to a gift. The store has two spaces: a front area and a back area. The front area had a variety of notecards and home décor items: candles, notebooks, straws, coasters, stripy straws, and treat bags. The back was filled with beautiful high-end cards. If you need nice thank you cards by the box or just want a special birthday card stop in here. They sell the type of paper that makes you want to handwrite all of your correspondance! The lady who checked me out was very nice. She even pointed me the right direction for finding something else to go with my purchase. She had just gotten a new shipment of nashville and franklin tote bags, which were super cute!

I first encountered Rock, Paper Scissors online store before setting foot in their actual store. Then, on our way back to Savannah from Nashville, I convinced my traveling companion to take a detour to Franklin. In addition to the loveliness that awaited us inside the store, the town itself is adorable. Right out of a picture book. Christmas was, of course, probably the best time to first lay eyes on the town. It was definitely decked out in its holiday finery. I could have blown my entire paycheck quite easily in this store. From the peacock clock and palomino bone china teacup from England(which I took home) to the stationary and cards(which I did not). I was in H-E-A-V-E-N. I tried to reign myself in, and only buy those items, like the clock and teacup, which were best purchased in person. I knew all the paper products could quite easily be obtained from their online store at a later date. The store is pleasantly laid out and everything is smartly displayed and easy to access. The staff was friendly and pleasant to interact with. The woman working that day, who was not the owner, gave a great recommendation for where to get cupcakes. Ivey Cake provided us with delicious cupcakes to consume on our drive home. I’ll detour to Franklin again, any day.

«Rock Paper Scissors» fills the stationary niche on Main Street to a tee. They carry some of the finer stationary kits by Crane and Co, with beautiful thank you note selections. They also offer custom invites by Kate Spade Paper, and Jack and Luly stationary. As a nice accent, they also carry hand poured candles, advertised to burn for 60 hours, which sounds like a long time to me.

‘Rock Paper Scissors’ is a stationary store with lots of specialty cards and papers to choose from. I fell in love with some eco-friendly cards they had at the front of the store. The cards were made from a very thin sheet of wood and had designed screened on the front. They were very novel, so I was excited. The store is full of custom items that can be ordered and made to your exact specifications. The staff wasn’t really all that friendly on the Saturday that I visited. Hopefully they were just overwhelmed by the beautiful sunny Saturday and handful of customers in the store. They had some of those notorious gift items at the front of the store as well, pricey scented candles…

Sometimes I think, if you’ve seen one stationary store, you’ve seen them all. Not so with Rock Paper Scissors. Yes, they have the requisite clean look and airy feel to the atmosphere, but I think the reason I come back here is because of the cool selection. I love the individual sheets of wrapping paper in a variety of mod designs, and none of their invites are super«cutesy» or cheesy. My favorite thing in this store though has to be the mix and match notecards/invites. There are 10 different colors and 6 different cuts(styles) of cards, and they are all blank. They can be printed however you like – you can make them into notecards or invitations, and choose however many you want. You can also pick the type of envelope you want, as well as the seal. Other cool items they carry are address books and journals, and those old-school fountain pens that you dip into ink. I’ll always make the quick trek to Franklin to visit this store.
