WDMS was such a blast! Part of it was that I was with a group of fun friends and our spirits were high, but this event kept those good vibes going. But first, a few household items: — I ate before which is usually a very smart choice, however, in this case I would have eaten lighter. There was SO much food to sample, and by the time I got here I really wasn’t that hungry and that is a huge bummer. Anytime drinking is involved I recommend eating, but in this case I’d eat light, or eat a heavy lunch and then nothing until the event. I probably sampled food from 60−70ish% of the vendors and I am not one to pass up free food. — Dress warmly. I was in a sweater dress and tights and not a very heavy coat. It was cold, and I was also. So learn from my mistake and dress warm! — Expect to wait in line for drinks. But you know what’s so awesome? The shops with wine have adorable merchandise to browse while you wait. This is freaking GENIUS. I wasn’t planning to buy anything. But did I? Of course I did. When you waive affordable costume and daily wear jewelry in my line of vision and I’ve had about 4 glasses of wine, my shopping defenses go down. Great for the businesses, bad for my wallet! But a fun experience and I never was annoyed waiting. We could chat and look at cute things and it was so much fun. However, be careful with that wine in the furniture stores; it is Franklin after all, and not everything was affordable. — Get a DD or utilize my BFF’s Über and Lyft. WDMS was such a blast and I’d highly highly recommend checking it out. I will be back next year!

Omg! #yelpnashville, on point tonight! Thank you for the tickets to Wine Down Main Street supporting the Boys and Girls Club of Middle Tennessee. This charitable event was on point, I loved the happy medium of food to wine/liquor/beer. The shops hosting tours were very hospitality and welcoming. Loved every minute.

What a great concept. Love the fact that Downtown Franklin comes together for such a good cause. It’s a fun night. Way to many cheap wines. Tip: Go later to avoid the lines.

My wife and I loved going to Wine Down Main Street last year. Such a great event, its so well organized. Downtown Franklin is one of the most beautiful cities, and the shops down Main street are so unique. Almost every shop has a tasting station, with a few wines to try. Plus there are food vendors setup all over the place. Its a great night! Highly recommend it for anyone.

Wine Down Main Street was amazing to see this year. Of course you have a lot of good wines from everywhere and local fav’s you know to expect like Arrington Vineyards, CAO was also there with their old Tennessee friend Jack Daniels; Martin’s BBQ, the Merc, Red Pony, all served samples of their fare; Bonefish served Bang Bang shrimp all night, and the whole event shows off posh downtown businesses like The Registry(which as it turns out is also great place to wait in line for a Petite Sirah from Clayhouse). In case you haven’t been, 35 shops in downtown host a individual wine tasting tables with a few to five wines each; which equals a lot of tastes’ for that delicate palette of yours. Red House had beers and Puckett’s has distilled spirits from Corsair Artisan(a local Nashville distillery). The whole idea was from local business owners to show off downtown in the evening when the kids are in bed — but still give ‘em something in the long run… like $ 750,000 for the Boys & Girls Club of Franklin/Williamson County since 2001.
