This place was pretty good. Our waiter was amazing. He suggested wreck fish, which was perfect. Also, had the best lentil salad ever. It wass made of mung beans instead of conventional lentils. Great idea! A little bit expensive, but it’s worth it.

John at the bar is the best bartender ever! He is efficient and personable! Cork & Cow has my favorite kind of atmosphere — super laid back, dark and candlelit. Try the tempura lobster! It’s so good.

Decent place… I think the scene is geared towards the«Franklin Good ol’ Boy» crowd. I had the Tomahawk which is a 32 ounce ribeye for two and a lobster tail. I believe Fleming’s has a much nicer atmosphere, much better steak, and I won’t forget to mention the more courteous and accommodating service. It was empty and attempting a «trendy» setting… the steak was served with four big globs of butter on top and was a bit salty. The meat was nothing spectacular, not even aged or well marbled, and was $ 95 and came pre sliced.

Cozy atmosphere and a fantastic wine selection. Go on Sunday night for half-price bottles of wine. We ordered a bottle of Leviathan for $ 48. That’s less than I’d pay in some wine stores. The service was also EXCELLENT. Very attentive waiter and food that arrived quickly. The food was good, but it didn’t blow me away. I ordered gnocchi with grilled scallops and shrimp in a cream sauce. My date ordered pasta with a tomato-based sauce and topped with grilled tuna. Both were good, but we weren’t blown away by either. Needed more flavor and spices. The dessert lacked presentation but had an excellent flavor. Chocolate cake layered with mousse and cherry liquor. It was delicious, but the large pile of whip cream on top made it look like something from Shoney’s. Overall a good experience. I’ll be back.

I came from Los Angeles to visit my sister in Frankin and chose this place based on reviews and my sister had heard good things. We arrived on time, our table was ready, and our service was great! The spot is nice and intimate! We all ordered differently, and got the Mac n cheese which we all loved. My steak was a bit too rare for med rare but the four of us devoured our plates, the main lobster addition was perfect, the drinks, namely Mr. Hyde was a hit too.

Dec. 2015 — If all you’re looking for is a steep check and a steak… well, you’ve arrived. This is unfortunate. The latest menu loses yet another star. Mushroom bread pudding is long gone and the downward spiral continues. I’m not sure I can even keep a positive spin on this, but for the steaks. All else disappoints. The Cow seems to be in discovery/recovery mode or even completely lost. Oh, its full of customers, but far from its origins. Misery loves company. Flour-only gnocchi is a crime against Italy, Betty Crocker, and maybe even Jason. Burnt buscuit gnocchi are a waste of wheat and butter. The spinach salad was so bland I can only assume they ran out of vinegar and cranberry for the cranberry vinegarette. The bread service has been burnt since The Cow’s inception. It’s now a staple worth regretting. The charcuterie plate? Holy Cow… make it edible! If you’re a steak lover, OK… just eat the meat. Otherwise, cross the street and visit Red Pony or leave Main Street altogether.

Atmosphere was great. The service was superb. Whatever we had, can’t remember, it didn’t leave an impression… was not as good as I would have expected for the price. If I’m paying $$$ I want it to be something I would have a hard time duplicating or that stays with me and makes me want to go back.

Cork and cow is amazing! We live in Michigan and every time we visit Franklin, we make it a point to go to cork and cow. Everything on the menu is amazing. We have been there 4 times now. I want to bring everyone I know there!

My wife and I dine here every time we travel to Franklin. We’ve been here 3 or 4 times and every visit has been spectacular. The staff is consistently friendly and attentive and the food is consistently amazing. The cocktails are also very well prepared. One reviewer didn’t like the seating upstairs in the loft area, but we found it to be cozy and intimate. We’ve also sat in several locations on the main floor, each of which were nice.

My hubby and I went here for a last minute date night and we were blown away by the food and service! Everything we tried was so good. We have pretty high standards coming from Brooklyn, but this really has been one of my favorites places in the Nashville area. We had the bruschetta sampler(one with beef carpacio, one with burrata and mushrooms, and one with the most amazing lobster salad I’ve ever tasted). We also got the lamp lollipop appetizer with mint chutney and red pepper jelly which were amazing… and finally the aged prime rib with scallops. They even split our entrée for us which was unexpected and super nice! They have a great beer and wine selection too! Sure a little pricey, but it was well worth it for the quality and taste of the food and the great experience. We will definitely be back!

Wow very disappointed, it’s annoying when you read reviews and believe a place to be a high quality establishment yet it turns out to be a hole in the wall with very simple décor. I can’t comment on food because as we were seated I was unlucky enough to sit in the padded bench seat that runs up against a brick wall, no sooner than I sat down did I feel like someone literally kicking the wall from behind me! It was like a terrible flight when you have a child sitting behind you kicking you the whole time!!! Bad as that was the waiter played dumb and tried to act as if it was funny saying«we have ghosts» well if they treat everyone like we were treated the place will be a ghost town! It was my BIRTHDAY and we walked out within 5minutes of this ridiculous experience… I’m telling you there are many other great restaurants in the area so why go here for a kick in the back!!!

Located down town Franklin. Parking isn’t always easy but no big deal. Ordered a house merlot and was quite good. Didn’t even ask what it was. Service was excellent(Cassidy). Ordered the Caesar salad without anchovies and very much enjoyed it Had the filet. Cooked medium. Really was great. No fat. Cooked perfect. Had the horse radish gorgonzola butter with the steak. Again. Incredible. Sides are separate but I expected that. The filet comes with house potatoes. Getting redundant but I really liked this also. No complaints. With two glasses of wine and the above it will end up being $ 65. So be aware of that. I would come back here.

My girlfriend and I were looking for a nice spot to go to dinner our last night in Nashville. We decided to head down to Franklin and eat at Cork & Cow. This was a smart choice! Every aspect of the meal was excellent, from the drinks to the food(I got a Caesar salad and the filet, my girlfriend got the salmon), to the service. The next fine we’re in Tennessee, we will definitely eat here again!

180 $ tab for two. 50 $ steak was overcooked, under-under seasoned, grey exterior, barely even had grill marks, and was sitting in a pool of liquid. If I had to guess i would think it was usda choice or lower. I’ve picked up better cuts from publix. For 50 $ I expect prime steak. Wife’s grouper was barely acceptable. Zucchini fries app was great and salad was great. Great service but can’t pay that kind of $$$ for service and apps. It’s too bad but we wont be back.

I have eaten at all of the McConnell restaurants, finally! Cork & Cow is a dinner-only, steak focused restaurant, adjacent to 55 South and next to Meridee’s. The décor is upscale and the prices are too. First off, I love their bar. The cocktails are as good as those at Gray’s down the street. The Marco Polo is my favorite, for a grapefruit-like taste in a really refreshing pink drink! Yum. I have had it multiple times there. Their wine list is fab too, and we enjoyed a few bottles for a work function that I really liked. The steak(filet) that I had was very good. It wasn’t Kayne Prime good, but excellent nonetheless. What I really loved were the sides. The bread is really great. I also sampled the fries, potatoes, gnocchi, and macaroni. All were tasty. I will warn that indulging in the steak and sides really made me feel quite tired… So much heavy food! But it’s a really charming place for a fancy date night; just make sure you get a reservation as some nights they are hard to come by(Fri/Sat, holidays). They also have an upstairs private dining area that can seat a group of maximum 14 people, but I recommend 10 or less and warn that the ceiling clearance is low and it is a bit dark up there… I prefer the lower level and those BEAUTIFUL green booth seats.

Friend of mine took me here. We were there for happy hour. This place I’ve been told packs out since it’s a pretty small place but very popular by the locals. I will say that the bartender is awesome and knows their drinks. Order any drink and they will make it and not just make it but make it PERFECT. Food is also great and professional atmosphere. Located right off main downtown Franklin the name would throw you off once you stepped inside. Will be back and hope to try the dinner menu.

We love cork and cow! We had a little bit of everything and it was all amazing. My favorite was the oyster appetizer. The dry aged steak was one of the best I have EVER had! Would have given it 5 stars but the atmosphere there is a bit confusing to me because there is an extremely loud bar area right in the middle of the whole place– always an extremely rowdy crowd there. In my opinion if I am going to pay the kind of prices they are asking I want to get away from the loud sports bar crowd and have a more relaxed experience.

Oh my goodness. This is hands down, the best food I have ever eaten in my life. Everything tastes so prepared with intentionality. My favorite thing to get here is the burger. I know, I know. but seriously. The meat is ground up filet with bacon added. It’s to die for. I can’t ever order anything else because of how amazing this burger is! It also comes with a side of fries, and truffle aioli. Their mac & cheese is incredible too. It’s enough for 2 – 3 people to share. It’s also the best mac and cheese I’ve ever eaten. No joke. Kayne Prime’s got nothing on their mac and cheese. They have a wedge salad with blue cheese dressing that I enjoyed. I don’t even like iceberg lettuce. and like this. For dessert, I’ve had their cheesecake and crème brûlée, both of which are fantastic. The cheesecake is enough to share, but if you order the crème brûlée, I would recommend not sharing. It’s a fair, one person portion. This place isn’t cheap, but it’s so worth saving up and going when you’ve got a couple of extra bucks to burn.
