Beef N Buns N Paradise

With the island vibes inside and out, this place brings a beach paradise feel to Frederick MD. And this is coming from a guy who was born and raised in Guam! Aside from the wonderful atmosphere, the food definitely hit the spot. Burgers was cooked to perfection and the crab cake sandwich was the bomb dot com!
PS loved the reggae music playing on the outside speakers!

Working in Frederick found this place on Unilocal.All I have to say is Wow. Very good burger the chili dog was amazing oh and the milkshake to die for. Can’t wait to come back.

This is where I go when my wife is away lol. Just a great American food joint with great attention to detail. The pizza steak isn’t bad to this Philly boy.

Very sad I didn’t care for this place but maybe it is just preference. 4 of us went in for icecream. 3 of us got shakes. A shake made with soft serve just isn’t the same. I guess I’m a fan of hand dipped. We all felt they were frothy. One of us had a soft serve cone and she enjoyed that so I’ll give it a try again but not their shakes.

Good food. Peach smoothie was phenomenal for the price. I thought the burger was OK– but I’m not a huge burger fan so I can’t really comment on that. Will definitely be back for the smoothie/​icecreams though

I can’t count the amount of times my husband and I have eaten here and it is flawless every time. The owners and staff are always kind and willing to go the extra mile for their customers. This and the food will keep us coming back. This is by far one if the best places to eat in Frederick.

Soooooo good. Nice little spot. Unique in every way. Outdoor seating so be prepared for the weather. Great chili dogs! What ever you get try «the sauce». Great spot if you have a sweet tooth! Their desserts are out of this world.

I always get the chili dog and fries, but EVERYTHING is fantastic. My girl loves their Reuben and their cheese sticks.
Good food made-​to-​order, so expect a wait… just place your order then wait to be called. Worth it! Bring a friend to kill the time ;)

This has to be one of my favorite place to get food and ice cream from. Kid friendly and super casual. Perfect place for groups of friends. Nice employees. Awesome place to eat.

We stopped by here on our way home from whitewater kayaking to grab some icecream. It’s a cute local burger & icecream shop with a quirky choice of music playing.
I ordered the vanilla softserve cone with coffee and cream flavor blast. IT WAS AMAZING. Exactly what I needed to wind down after an adventurous day. They also have milkshakes, sundaes, and a ton of different flavors, as well as real food – burgers etc. Everything is pretty cheap too!
Would definitely stop by again if in the Frederick area.

BURGERS ARE AMAZING. Probably the spot to go if you’re starving and need the most. The only flaw of Beef N Buns N Paradise is there’s only outside seating. If you’re silly and go when it’s cold out, prepare to eat in your car, as I did. Definitely a great move for spring, summer, and early fall. If you’re looking for suggestions. Try everything.

First timers, new to the area. We ordered burgers, pit beef sandwich, cream of crab soup and chili. Love lucky finds like this place. It was all very good. The service was very friendly!!!

Wow! IF YOUR A BURGER FAN YOU MUST TRY THIS SPOT. This place is amazing. Locally sourced beef. Extremely friendly service and the food was amazing. Y shop is located a few blocks away and I will be eating here regularly. The burger was perfect it even looked like something out of a food add. The onion rings were crispy and the potato salad tasted home made. My only complaint about this place is the fact it isn’t open year round.

Definitely must have the crab cakes, without a doubt their best item on the menu. Cajun bleu and cheeseburgers were ok. Atmosphere outside was good and the music was great

Fantastic. We stopped on our way to Harper’s Ferry when traffic hit a snag. So glad we looked to Unilocal to guide us to a local spot.
We had crabcakes, 98% jumbo lump and delicious :) We live in Maryland and have had crab cakes all over this state. These were the most flavorful we have had so far. Better than G & M even.
The chili kraut dog also delicious. We had a sample of their chocolate soft serve and if only I had room left…
I was dying to try a bite of our son’s Reuben but one’s stomach is only so big…
The owners were incredibly friendly and made sure we knew even the hot dog chili was house made and fresh.
We will be stopping again on our way home, and will have no problem driving the hour to come back for those crabcakes whenever the urge hits us.

So much for buying into the hype I read on Unilocal.
The burgers I asked to be made medium well we’re all overdone.
The burgers themselves had zero seasoning.
Just throwing everything on a burger that you find in your kitchen doesn’t make the burger great, it makes it VERY MESSY!!!
There is a ketchup and paper napkin police. They ration it all, come on guys, if you make a messy burger please be nice and part with a few extra paper napkins. I had 3 buckets of fries and you give me little to no ketchup.
There is no table service which is not a problem to me but stock the tables with the basics like mustard, ketchup, napkins etc. don’t make me interrupt my dinner each time and walk to the window knock and make it look like you are doing me a favor by serving me.
I consider myself well travelled and I’ve eaten at many small yet great restaurants and I don’t consider this anywhere close to half decent.
I am glad they have a steady stream of patrons, I just don’t see myself ever going back for seconds because I am better off at Five Guys.

First, yes, it is outside seating only & is easy to miss because it looks like a house. It is oozing Caribbean mellow charm. This place feels like it was scooped off of a cruise port and plopped down in Md.
Second, the staff definitely match the Caribbean charm with their everybody is welcome, how can we help you ease and friendliness. That isn’t to say they are mellow to the point of slow service, not at all. Ice-​cream and shakes are ready in minutes and even made to order burgers with onion rings came out in less than 10 min.
Third, the food. Lord love you THE FOOD. Husband got the Cape Maye burger based on reviewer recomendations. (Good looks, reviewers!). Crab cake, ham, and tartar sauce (in addition to the «usual» fixings). I got the Cajun Blue, hot sauce, ham, french fries & blue cheese (plus the usual fixings). Both were sooo good. I got the smaller 4oz patty… and was still stuffed. Lol. The platter servings are really filling! The onion rings were delicious. Not too sweet like some other reviews said. We don’t like sweet rings. These were perfect. The mac salad was super onion & eggy in taste. No heavy mayo flavor. Perfectly cool & light for a hot day. We also got a chili dog to split but were too full. We tried a bite though… ungh…groan worthy good. Possibly better than the burger.
The sweet tea was very good and tasted fresh. Hubby sent me back to do a second order to get the PB milkshake. He is in heaven.

What a great find! I had the Cape May burger with fries and slaw. Absolutely delicious! The platter was such a generous portion; I didn’t have any more room for ice cream. :-)
I will definitely be back in the future to try more items from the menu.

Cream of crab soup (seasonal) — so flavorful even though it looks so simple. The crab tastes so fresh!
Frenny mammoth burger — super yum! It was all gooey with cheese and had the perfect amount of toppings. (Mammoth means 6oz vs 4oz).
No public bathrooms & only outside seating. It’s a really cute place though — looks like a house.

The jumbo lump meat crabcake is worth 5 stars, easy. Kudos to Beef n Buns for offering it fried or grilled. I got mine grilled with lettuce and tomato and it was absolutely delicious. Plenty of crabmeat seasoned with a hint of good old Old Bay.
I’ve been by for shakes and cookies and cream and banana are my two faves. Good to the last drop!
