Piece O’ Cake

I love that little shop I ordered 2 cakes and a cupcake and they were rich and delicious the people working there were very helpful and the cakes look incredible! I will definitely be coming back and totally recommend it!

Love these two sisters! They always do such a great job for my family’s special ordered cakes. They always make it how I ask and more.

This place is delicious! I have eaten here a few times and have never been disappointed. Their lunch is great– fresh ingredients and at a great price. The turkey sandwich is my favorite!
They also have scooped of ice cream from trickling springs. You can add a fresh brownie to your sundae for only 1 $! To die for.

My good friend, Fred, surprised me with a beautiful and absolutely delicious coconut cake for my birthday! Everyone so enjoyed it and agreed that it was the best they have ever had! There is no doubt that «Piece O’ Cake» will be our «go to» spot for birthday and special occasion cakes in the future. Thank you!

We went to Piece O’ Cake on Labor Day to sample the desserts. We ordered vanilla and peanut butter chocolate cupcakes. Both were really good– the cake was moist and fluffy and the frosting wasn’t too sweet. Based on that, we decided to go ahead and order our son’s baptism cake.
There only seemed to be two teenage girls working and one filled out an order form with me and said the head cake decorator would call me by Thursday with the price and to confirm the order. I also left a photo of the cake I wanted with my order form. By this week, I still haven’t gotten a call from the bakery. I called twice myself and there is no answer.
I’m really disappointed with the lack of communication. I was super excited to order the cake from them based on the yummy cupcakes, and the photo albums of custom cakes they’d done that are in the bakery. I also wanted to support a local business but since I can’t get in touch with Piece O’ Cake, I guess we’ll just order from Wegmans.

Loved working with this bakery. They made a custom baby shower cake for me and it was perfect. The fondant turtles, flowers and lettering came out amazing and were not cracked like you tend to see. The cake was 3 tiers and each tier was a different flavor. Another plus for this bakery is that they offer gluten free.

We ordered a vegan chocolate raspberry birthday cake from here. It was amazing! It is great to have bakery that serves both vegan and offers gluten free as well. We are happy we found them.

This bakery is relatively new in its location in the Whittier neighborhood, and it’s a welcome addition. I stopped in to check it out and saw that they have tons of gluten free, vegan and even dairy free options.
Having no dietary restrictions, I tried a cake ball, which was like a cake pop only larger and without the stick to hold it with. I chose the chocolate orange flavor and it was great! I would get this again in a heartbeat. They also had gluten free cake balls… Just in case…
My daughter chose a chocolate raspberry cupcake, which I would not recommend. It didn’t take like real raspberry at all. My daughter hardly ate it, and when I tasted it I could see why.
With that being said, I will definitely go back and try their breakfast sandwiches, coffee, and maybe even a lunch sandwich or salad. This place is desperately needed in the neighborhood… And I hope it stays!
For everyone in Whittier, this place is definitely worth checking out…

I will start off by saying that neither my husband or myself are huge fans of cakes or other sweets but we ordered a German chocolate cake and vanilla cupcakes for our wedding. Naomi was a delight to work with. She did not try to push us into anything when it came to what we asked for. She was totally fine with how «plain» we wanted our frosting to be (we had seen their work and it was gorgeous but not what we were looking for). They were also a 100% willing to work with my mother-in-law’s cow milk allergy and even made her special cupcakes.
When they delivered the cake and cupcakes to the venue they had kind and professional demeanor and had clearly labeled the two dairy free cupcakes. They even went above and beyond to put the chocolates that I had casted onto the cupcakes which they were NOT asked or expected to do. They even had a short discussion on the best way to place each chocolate. This attention to detail produces gorgeous cakes but they also tasted amazing. May husband and I were actually happy that we got to take some home.

They have such a sweet creative staff, with a great tasting product! I follow them on Facebook and they post some fun pictures of their creations. But they don’t just do great cakes, I especially enjoy grabbing a treat when I visit Dublin Roasters where Piece O’Cake is located. And if your looking for a gluten free option (or not, its that good) the zucchini bread is a MUST!

From the Balimore-​area, but got married in the Tea Room in Gambrill State Park. Purchased my wedding cake from Piece O’ Cake and a strawberry rhubarb groom’s pie. Both were ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS, and delivered free-​of-​charge to the Tea Room. Prices were also very reasonable. Business operates out of Dublin Roasters Coffee. They also offer gluten-​free alternatives to traditional cakes. I highly recommend them. All flavors of cake were very tasty, but the strawberry-​filled lemon is THE BEST! :)
