Food was decent but nothing to write home about. Service was abysmal. Food took forever to be brought to us (and it was sushi, which should be fairly quick, right?). To make matters worse, it wasn’t even all brought out at once — we got one meal at a time, separated by about 5 minutes per plate — 20 minutes when you’re talking about four people. Not impressed.

They give you large portions but food is not really fresh or worth the price. We went for a coupon to try it. We will not be back. After we received the check the waiter came over and said we only ordered 1 drink and to use the coupon we had to get 2(in the fine print) We had even ordered a la cart sushi but the owner said to charge us 2.00 for a bottle of water to use the coupon. Had a sushi roll and some salmon sushi and a few other pieces. They tasted like they had been sitting for a couple of days. Cannot see a reason for them to do any better than the ones there before them. Yuck… We should’ve known when we went in and the entire place was empty. Not one other person. Can think of lots of better places to go in Frederick and beyond. HOpe we dont get sick. Go at your own risk!

Now the best Hibachi Japanese restaurant in Frederick. We’ve been to all of them and now especially with Taste of Asia changing hands and formats, this is the best in town. Sushi and Hibachi were both fantastic with larger portions and slightly cheaper prices than their counterparts. I had a REd Hot and Roll sushi roll and the Filet, Scallops, and Shrimp hibachi dinner. The filet was large, thick, and beautiful — unlike what most Japanese restaurants serve. The scallops were good and the portion of shrimp was HUGE. I had to get 10 – 12 shrimp in addition to a full fillet and handful of scallops. Well done!
