I actually like most of their wines. I was disappointed in the host that gave us our wine tasting. He did not explain the wines until I asked. I brought a newbie and wanted her to get the full experience. He had not much of a personality. I hope they get him trained or put in people with personalities. Although, the wine is good we go there for the experience.

One of our favorite wineries! We always make sure we stop and visit with Fiesta Winery at the Swirls and Wine festivals we visit. Sweet or dry, hard not find a great wine. We visited their Highway 290 tasting room on Black Friday, wanting to avoid downtown Fredericksburg on a busy day. The tasting room was quiet, just a few people making a stop so we had great service from Amanda. Amanda and her sister were friendly and helpful and helped our just turned 21 daughter enjoy her first wine tasting. How much do we enjoy these wines…8 bottles walked out with us!

I am sorry to say that I didn’t care for this winery! In and of itself, it’s beautiful, and the staff here was great, but the wine was all just too sweet for me. Their outdoor area is killer and the views out the back window while you have your tasting are pretty classic Texas, but the wine just wasn’t for me. If you enjoy sweet bottles, definitely come here!

Delightful experience for my new husband and I! We were promptly GREETED in a friendly way. We felt very welcome. We sat at the wine bar and selected our 5 choices each, for $ 10 each, and we got to keep the nice engraved wine glass. The wines were spectacular and we purchased 6 bottles. I can NOT say enough nice things about the winery or the staff.(1 very pleasant lady) We are on our Honeymoon and are very picky, and all our expectations were EXCEEDED. Thank you SO much– Ken and Mary Redding

LOOOOVE!!! This was a «quick stop» for my husband and I. It ended up being our favorite! The woman helping us was very nice, and very knowledgable. As we are not big wine drinkers, we told her what we liked(sweet/not too dry, but dry) and she chose wines for us to taste that we LOVED! We could have bought each wine we tasted! There is a nice, welcoming feel about the place. Will definitely be going back!

My mom and I shared a tasting here. Two of our six wine samples were too artificial tasting for either of us(the Fiestarita and Southern Sparkle). We did like the Chardonnay enough to buy a bottle, it was light and refreshing. In comparison to some of the other wineries on 290 this one is a little cheaper for the tasting but it doesnt have the vineyard.

Our tasting was led by a young Aggie graduating next year who was born not long after my wife graduated A&M. What she lacked in wine knowledge she made up for in honesty: «Why do you want to try this wine?» «One of the ladies on the shuttle said we had to try it because she thinks it’s fabulous.» «I’ll pour it for you, but you’re going to hate it. You don’t seem to like sweet wines and this one tastes like cleaning fluid.» Whaddya know, she was right… And for that bit of honesty, we ended up buying 3 bottles from her. While sweet wines aren’t my bag, my wife likes them and we found 3 that we could agree upon that won’t double as a floor cleaner. They have a nice patio here with a musician playing Elvis on guitar. If you like your wines on the sweet side, it’s a nice place to spend some time.

Love love loved this place! Owner was super sweet and fantastic. We ended up buying 5 bottles. Port, sparkling, Riesling, white merlot and a cab. All so delicious. The names of the wines are fun and the bottles were super cute too! Definitely recommend.

Overall, a sweet fruity fun 100% Texan winery located on the 290 wine road in the Historic Rocky Hill Complex. This location is one of three tasting rooms for Fiesta Winery, located in Bend, Texas. They have another Fredericksburg location in downtown on main street amongst the shops and art galleries. To get to the tasting room you walk past Six Shooter Cellars, and through an inviting tree shaded outdoor patio with cozy colorful chairs awaiting you to sit back and relax. The tasting room itself is spacious, and inviting. Pull up a stool and sit at the bar, and await to be served by a friendly staff member. For $ 10 you will receive 5 wine samples, and a souvenir Fiesta Wine Glass to take home(fee waived with 3 bottle purchase). The tasting menu is quite large and divided up by White Whines, Blush Wines, Sparkling Wines, and Red Wines. The prices for Texas are quite reasonable, $ 16 — $ 35. With the fun«Fiesta» name, colorful branding, and bar like tasting room, I wasn’t expecting a «serious or superior» wine experience(although the website does claim to offer«superior Texan wine»). The staff were also fun, not well informed on the wine making process, and super friendly. Also, if you are a dry only wine drinker, this is definitely NOT the place for you. I sampled a variety of wines from the menu, and the dry wines even have sweet fruity tones. After awhile, it all starts to taste similar. I do have a wide palette, and enjoy a good sweet or dessert wine. For sweet«fruity» Texas wine, I found this place to be OK. My favorites from my tastings were the Back Porch Sittin’(definitely sweet vs. the semi-sweet they claim in the menu), and the Decadencia(like drinking chocolate covered cherries). Above all what would bring me back here definitely is the chocolate. They have AMAZING dark chocolate liquor filled sugar coated chocolates. They use their Sweet Dreams wine in the chocolates. You definitely won’t make it home with the box you purchase. I regret not buying more than 1 box. They were the highlight of my Fiesta experience Overall, the staff were super friendly, and the ambiance was great. On a Saturday evening they even had live music. The wine is just OK, but definitely pick up the chocolates!
