Great time with T&T!!! Great sparkling Muscat Canelli and Sojourn Port!!! Try them Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, & Sunday. Fantastic Texas wines from six different wineries.

Probably the worse of the worse of Texas Wineries under one roof. Poorly developed wine lacking structure, fruit, or continuity. My server was so tired or high he could not talk or make a sentence. Mumbling I could not understand one word he said the entire time.

Out of the four wineries we visited today, this was by far my favorite. The wine of course was great, the people even better. The young couple running the business are so polite and absolutely committed to all of their visitors having a great experience. If you’re looking for an amazing Fredericksburg visit, do not skip over this place!

This place is about as bad as it gets. They have wines from about 5 different Texas wineries, which isn’t a bad thing, but the girls working had no knowledge on any of the wines. When I say«no knowledge», I am suggesting that they didn’t even have basic knowledge about wine, the wine industry… nothing. Further the wine menu was confusing too; there was no order or organization. To top it off, the wines were pretty bad too. I’m going to stop here because I just don’t have anything further to say about this place.

Ew. I couldn’t get past the awful taste of every wine on the tasting. Atmosphere was nice. Server was attentive and knowledgeable. But the wine… So gross. There are way too many good options that make this place easy to drive past.

Loved this place! Tons of options to choose to sample and you get to keep the glass! They let our dog come inside the tasting room which is always a plus for us!

Enjoy your wine tastings in an old tobacco barn brought in from Tennessee. For $ 10 you can try 6 wines from various vineyards. The staff is extremely accommodating and the price per wine averages $ 20. This place is smaller and won’t be as crowded as the bigger vineyards. As a bonus, pay $ 10 on Saturday and get a delicious plate of sliders from the Bed and Breakfast next door. Six Shooter is a wine tasting must if you’re in Fredericksburg!

«Meh. I’ve experienced better.» This is a tasting room that represents 5 different Texas wineries. My favorite part was the old tobacco barn inside of the building. Other than that, the wines were just too sweet… and the wines that were not sweet had a sweet smell. I was happy once I tasted them, but smelling them before gave me that«Oh great, more sweet… ugh!» moment. Also, a few of them had a strong alcohol smell, which I’m not used to. Overall, I liked had an okay experience and didn’t buy anything. I poured out most of my tastes after two sips. The chocolate cherry«port» tastes like child’s cough syrup. I wish I was kidding, but I’m not. Fortunately, my tasting partner was looking the other way when my face distorted at this, so I was able to convince him to try it and I got to watch his face distort, then hear all the lovely comments. Haha. The server possessed little knowledge about wines and was the kind of person that just keeps saying«uh-huh» when a patron would speak, but not listen to what they say. That was odd and made it difficult to ask questions. I did like how many options they had for tasting, since they represent several wineries. There was no set list of what we were to try. We instead got a list of about 25 – 30 wines and we checked off what we wanted to try.

Six shooters is a tasting room that highlights 5 Texas wine makers(Legato, Cowtown, Cross Timbers, Yepez, and Clear Creek). It is located in the historic Rocky Hill complex next to Fiesta Winery 290. I love how they have created a space in which new meets old world country. The tasting room is located in what was an old Tabaco barn from Kentucky, and is surrounded by a modern exterior which is the gift shop and seating area. This place has a fun vibe, and is definitely not the place to go if you are a serious wine connoisseur interested in the 411 on the wine maker and wine making process. The staffs were extremely friendly, but had only limited knowledge. It was crowded the day that I came and one staff member tried to keep up at the register, while the other was running around pouring wine. It was clear they were short staffed, and later I learned that someone had called in sick. I waited patiently to be helped, and I was welcomed warmly and provided a tasting menu and list. You can have 6 tastes for $ 10 and keep the souvenir glass. With 5 wine makers the selection to choose from is large. It is nice that they provide some high level tasting notes for all the possible selections to choose from that day. I stayed away from the Legato options as I have tasted them in the past and found them to be too fruit forward, and weak. From what I tried, I found the selection to be hit or miss. From the selection of wineries, there wasn’t anything that WOW’d me. Overall, they were the typical fruity weak to average Texan wine. I have a wide palette and do appreciate sweet wines. The one wine that stood out for me was the Cowtown Stockyard Peach. I have had several peach wines in the past, and this is one of the best I have had to date. For comparison, I liked it even better than the Fat Ass Winery Peach offering, which I enjoy(but they are always sold out of). I will definitely come back, as it could very easily be that from the large menu, I just chose the weaker options.

Stopped here after a visit to Wildseed Farms. The setting and tasting room were welcoming, as was the gentleman working… at first. We had his attention but as the crowd grew he seemed rather interested in one particular lady who received all his attention. Another employee came in begrudgingly and filled glasses as requested(no spiels here). The wines themselves were disappointing; 2 of them with a hint of vinegar. Uh oh. Overall, we were sadly disappointed after the positive first impression.

The GF and I visited 5 different wineries together last Friday, and Six Shooters was by far my favorite. While it was one of the smallest, it had alot of character, a great selection of wine, and a very friendly employee who was helpful. From what we both heard from other people/places around town, people who like sweeter wines would enjoy Six Shooter Cellars. And since the GF and I both enjoy our sweet wines, we had a great time here. The worker also gave us an additional 3 free samples to the 6 tastings we already purchased. Very nice of him, especially because both of our favorite tasting wines were from the free sample he gave us. That ended up being the only bottle we bought on our entire trip to Fredericksberg. Non pretentious, friendly staff, and good wine. Large list(with description of each wine) to select your wine tasting from as well, unlike a few places we visited that had a set menu. If you’re planning a trip to Fredericksberg, make a stop by Six Shooters on your way in to town!

I can’t think of anything that could get better about this place. It was our second stop on our self guided winery tour, and we were coming from one of the larger ones vineyards where it feels like they’ve got their spiel down and are just ready to get you through the tastings and onto the«sign up for the wine club» pitch. At Six Shooter– that was not the case! It wasn’t crowded at all, and we got personal attention from the lady that was doing the tasting. She described everything in her own words and we got to try a variety of different wines(actually, I think they gave us a taste of every wine they had). We also got to take our time with it, relax, and chat with the lady doing the tasting. In my opinion(and my boyfriends) they definitely had the best wines that we had all day, and by far the nicest and most attentive staff. Definitely worth the stop!

Six Shooters is a tasting room offering wines from 6 Texas wineries. According to one of the staff members you would have to travel 1,200 miles to visit each of the wineries, so save some gas and still get a unique experience at their tasting room. They opened on May 24th2013 showcasing wines from Cowtown Winery, Clear Creek Vineyards, Yepez Vineyard, Cross Timbers Winery and Retreat Hill. The six shooter will be Blazing Barrels but they are still working on getting their bottles in the tasting room. The building reeks of history as it is located in a historical school and they relocated an 1800s Kentucky tobacco bar inside the center of the building. The tasting room is next door to The Pink Pig restaurant and the newly opened Fiesta Winery tasting room off of 290. Wine tastings are $ 10 for 6 pours and you can keep the glass. Honestly I burn out on Texas wines pretty easily but their wines, especially the reds, are excellent. I tried Cowtown Republic Red, Cross Timber Tempranillo, Clear Creek Reserve Zinfandel, Yepez Gran Mezcla and Black Bart Blackberry infused wine. I liked all the reds(5 out of the 6 wines tasted). The Tempranillo was light, the Zinfandel bold and spicy, the Republic Red a decent Malbec and the Gran Mezcla unique. The blackberry infused wine was not too sweet and reminded me of wines you would find in Door County, WI. We bought a bottle of the Zinfandel for ourselves and the blackberry infused wine as a gift. What impressed me most was the staff. They enjoyed talking about the history of the space, the wineries and were friendly. When I called and asked if their outside is dog friendly they replied if your dog is friendly they are welcome inside.
