My son enjoys the classes here, the instructor and administrator is both really nice and easy to work with. The students are focused and polite. Very easy process to set up classes. I just called for appointment, she walked me through the different programs and payment plans. We paid one year classes and it was very affordable. Instructors teach strength, respect, kungfu and they focus on each kid and their levels of ability. Overall, we are very happy with the experience

Master Shane has been amazing to my daughter… she started when she was only 4 years old and the confidense has now is unreal. I myself started kickboxing a few years back as well… and I must say… iam in the best shape I have ever been! She is a red belt 2 belts away from black she is very proud of her self

I have been a student at Buk Sing Choy Lay Fut for over 9 years now and actively training for 7 years total. I’m very happy with how Choy Lay Fut continues to keep me fit and healthy and improve my self-confidence. The students and instructors alike have all been extremely supportive and you really feel like part of a family that cares about you on a personal level. Having the opportunity to learn from Grandmaster Vince Lacey is an honor and privilege. He has plenty of wisdom to impart if you are willing to listen and learn. I hope to complete my Choy Lay Fut training and study Wing Chun from him as well.

I have been sending my son here for a few months now and he absolutely loves it. He goes twice a week and the staff there are awesome and work well with kids also. I would encourage everyone to check it out.

After 8 months of training I have never felt better. In down 30 lbs now and am still impressed with the school and the way the students feel like family. Everyone here helps eachother learn and both Grandmaster and Sifu Shsne continue to impress me with their attention to detail and their expectations. This is so much better than I could have ever imagined. Buk Sing for life.

I have been with the school since 1991 and stopped around 1995. I came back due to health reasons. I was 265 lbs. and use to take five(5) medications(Lisinopril, Hydrochlorothiazide, Metformin, Aspirin, Lovastatin). I started July 2010 and Sifu Shane coached me on my diet and slowly guided me to get back in my body condition. In November 2010, my weight dropped to 220 lbs. I added Wing Chun to my curriculum where Grand Master Vince Lacey teaches. Now, my latest progress is I am able to do sparring again using both Buk Sing Choy Lat Fut System and Wing Chun System and able to last two(2) rounds of 3 minutes length each round. My medication went down to three and able to eliminate Metformin and Aspirin. It also helped me professionally. My goal this year is to totally eliminate my medications and keep a healthy body and mind. Of course, there might be one unhappy customer posted on Unilocal. But, if you try again, Sifu Shane and his wife Lourdes made major changes that made the school more students and customer focused kung-fu school. The quality of teaching is excellent.

I have never in this life been treated like i was treated here. I did not do any martial arts in my life but decided to try it. Before i pay for a long class and then don’t like it i decided to have a look first. So i went there. The master himself was in the office. I told him why i was there and asked if i could just watch a class and then make a decision if i want to attend a class or not. Anyone who wants to make business would say«Sure — no problem. But please do not disturb the class». This guy started complaining about people paying for classes but not showing up. Then he told me that it was boring and i would see nothing happen. I told him that’s okay, i just wanted to get a feeling for how they teach their students. A next wave of complaints about people not showing up. I told him(starting to really wonder what was wrong here) that if i liked what i saw i would sign for a class and would show up. Another complaint wave and a few comment that i should not expect a wonder, i would not be able to move like Jackie Chan after two weeks. Wow — i had already figured that myself. Now a tip: i could watch some of their stuff on youtube. I do not go to a Kung Fu school to return with this kind of tip. In the end i gave up. Told the guy i would watch the video and maybe come back. I did not and will never.

If you want to learn traditional Choy Lay Fut and/or Wing Chun Kung Fu, definitely come here. Shane is great at teaching about every stand up style you can think of and one of the most knowledgeable person I know about overall fitness. His dad teaches in old school way, so if you want to learn the real kung fu, watch him. This is also great place for kids to come learn as well, it’s amazing to see the little ones do the traditional forms. I still visit once every other month to train/spar with some guys so it’s not just all forms.
