We came here for Aftari with my office colleagues and believe me it’s the best food ever. Thanks for the great experience.

I live close by and always drive by this restaurant. Since I am not that big fan of Indian food neither my husband so we did not go early in first place. The day we went, we had actually planned for Mexican restaurant next to the bondoo khan. We happened to park right to their door. My husband mocked me and said that your«bondoo khan» is here do you want to go? I was whatever since we were about to move from that location. We went in from back door. Restaurant was small and appeared to be opened and managed by a family. We wanted to start off tea, the lady said tea is complementary, when we took a sip it tasted like tea was made from stale milk. Service is slow, it was Friday night the restaurant was pretty full. It could be because of that but like I said there were not any extra servers. I was like, I should have gone to the restaurant next door. The food took a bit longer to come and also we ordered Naan, we had to ask couple times to get Naan and raita for biryani. We ordered goat biryani and butter chicken. But when we ate the food, OMG that was a Heaven food, we ate all of it. I could not only do was lick the plate. The food was so good. We regretted that we didn’t come early. It would be nice if they have better staff to coordinate and f/u with orders. But we are going back again. If you are looking for cozy laid back place and service does not really matter to you then«bondoo khan is def go to place. I recommended my co-workers, they came and ate and they said the LOVEd the food and their family loved to go as well.

I am a big fan. There are ton of Indian and Pakistani restaurants in the area and Bundoo Khan is my favorite now. They have been around ~9 months and I hope they stay a long time. Everything I have eaten here has been great. This is the only place that I know that serves Rumali Roti in the bay area which I am a big fan of. The dum biryani, paneer butter masala, saag paneer are all great! In addition to the rumali roti, they serve some other unique items like the gola kebab and halva puri chenna which are awesome. The people who work here are super nice. The only reason they are not a 5 star is because they always underestimate how long it is going to take for the takeout to be ready. It has consistently been double the time they told me and I end up waiting 15 – 20 mts to pick up. Note that the restaurant itself is bare bones, you come here for the food and not the ambience.

Move over Shalimar and Pakwan, the King Khan is here :-) This place has absolutely the best Paki food you can get in Bay Area. The kebabs and curries are great. They are also very generous with saffron in their biryanis. You can feel the strong saffron fragrance and flavor. Both goat and chicken biryani were good but goat was the best! They seem understaffed(it is basically the owner’s family running the kitchen) so it may take a while to get your food.

Their chicken biryani and butter chicken were delicious, rumali roti are worth trying out as well. We loved their customer service.

By far the best authentic Pakistani /Indian food I’ve had in a long time. Unlike other restaurants which pretty much taste the same tough the dish’s name is different. Love their achari chicken and tandoori with romali. Oh did I forget to mention the staff is very very polite. All the best guys

The food here is amazing! The kababs are very well season with a nice amount of spice. The curries and biryani are to die for. And unlike other places, will kick up the spice if you ask! I have eaten at all the Fremont local Pakistani resturaunts and these guys compete with them no problem with their food. Its not any where near as oily as some of the places(and its not dry either!) which is very appealing to me. There is a one star review(on a call in none the less; its not like they took the time to drive there) about the owner not being in to prepare food. Well, it may happen(such as it did for me today around 2:00). But I still love this place. This is a small family ran business who the owner(and chef) is in 7 days a week for 10+ hours a day. Don’t get all up in a tizzy if this happens. The owner is such a nice guy, works hard, and honestly, we all have a life. TL;DR — I’ll be a long term customer for the wonderful food and wonderful owner! But keep in mind that this is a small family business so there may be a few hangups

Gola Kabob is the only thing we ordered here and it’s worth ordering it despite its expensive. Worth trying for any food enthusiast. For Pakistani who are looking for this kabob — it’s finally here in Fremont! Don’t count on their chai — not tasty like shalimar even it’s free. But the Naan is good — freshly made. Bihari kabob is the next one we will try here. Both are very specialized kabobs that none of the Pakistani restaurant in the area is making them.

If you want real Pakistani food, this is the place to go. This review is for food, not the décor or service. The owner is awesome. Such a nice guy. Ordered the biryani(a must), kabob platter, Karachi chicken(so good), rumali roti(absolutely amazing), naan(it’s whole wheat and so fresh) and for dessert the ghar(carrot) ka halwa. Definitely will be back to try out their menu!

We love Shalimar and Pakwaan food so another new Pakistani restaurant was a welcome addition to Fremont. We were very surprised to find it less busy but the food was better than either of the older more established places. Their kebab platter. Is a deal if you have enough appetite for Kebabs and they made it with only chicken upon request. Roomali tori is a great option. And the food upon our request could be made spicier much to our liking unlike the other restaurants which we sometimes find bland. So definitely worth the visit if you don’t care about the ambience but more about the food cooked by Authentic Pakistani chef trained under Bundoo Khan — famous chef from Pakistan. Owner was very attentive to our needs and deserved the extra star that I sometimes holdback

We called to place a to go order on Saturday morning. The response that we got from the business was something I have never ever experienced in my life. The person who picked up the phone simply said that he cannot take any order since the owner in not in yet and he is not sure if the restaurant will take any order today. And he simply dropped the call after that. This was past 12 noon, an hour after the restaurant opens(as per Unilocal). I have never come across a more ridiculous excuse from any restaurant. This is not the way you run a business. This is a joke! Not going back, ever…

Our favourite halal Pakistani restaurant in the Bay Area. It is as close to authentic Lahori taste as you can get. W always order the Chicken Biryani because you can’t go to Bundoo Khan and not eat Biryani. Last week we tried tge Shaljam-Kofta curry and it was unexpectedly delicious. The best thing however is the Tikka BBQ. Its not coloured like most indian restaurant. It has the perfect balance of spice and juiciness. The staff is really friendly. I have never seen it crowded as such. I think it is fairly underrated. The parking is on the back side though.

Amazing behari and seekh kabab! One of the best tasting kababs and paratha! Loved their combination platter, great variety and good portions as well! Almost as good as the bundoo khan in Karachi! Loved it!

Amazing kabab place. Heard about it when we were in LA and had high hopes and this place was upto all those expectations. Their Bihari Kabab was awesome so we’re the sheek kabab. Their mixed platter& panner curry was awesome. The best thing was their Rumali roti, never knew any place in America servers it… can’t have enough of their food…

***This is the most authentic Indo/Pak food you can find in Bay Area, I know this place had chronic service issues which the family owned business had been struggling with, but now they have made some drastic changes and hired better people. I urge everyone to give this place another shot and I am confident you won’t be disappointed! Everyone deserves a 2nd chance****

Very good food. I think these guys perhaps feel overshadowed by the nearby Pakwan, but their stuff is also pretty good. I go there once a week. I really like their Gol kabob and biryani. Parking is behind the restaurant.
