Helen is the best.
She worked with us and always made sure we had the steps down and if we needed her to go a bit slower she would and break it down. She is a very sweet person and highly recommend her. She books up fast so you better hurry up and get your date set.
She knows what she is doing and is a great dancer.

My daughter has been attending Cachet Dance Academy for over a year. I must say that Helen and her Dance partner JC are amazing teachers. Not only have they been a positive roll model/​influence in her life, but they have been truly inspirational to many of their students… including my daughter. I am extremely happy with this academy. Cachet is not just a dance academy Cachet is much more. I highly recommend Cachet Dance Academy if you or your children … or the family are thinking of taking dance lessons… this is the place to go. it doesn’t matter if you have zero dance experience or if you are a pro., I assure you that you won’t be disappointed. I recently took a class at the studio and I’ll definitely be recommending it to friends in the bay area. Helen and JC (our instructors + dance partners) are both incredibly talented and made us feel comfortable and at home in the studio. Also, I think I stepped on JC like twice and he was totally ok with it lol
Private group lessons with friends are highly recommended… and if you’re lucky, the pair will treat you to one of their award-​winning routines at the end of class. Wish I still lived in the bay area so I could sign up for more!

My girls and I had a blast at our one hour private salsa lesson at Cachet!
Helen and her partner were phenomenal teachers! We learned foundational salsa moves and then they tailored the lesson to our group’s ability (or inability, however you look at it) so that we could do as much as possible during the hour. They explained the moves in different ways so that we could understand our body position and the rhythm.
Helen is professional and very responsive to inquiries. I booked the lesson a few weeks in advance and they were able accommodate my request.
I will definitely be in touch with them for any future lessons!

I had such a good experience when my best homegirls and I had a private session at Cachet. Helen and JC are super supportive instructors and continually adjust the lesson based off of the group’s progress and energy– there was little (self inflicted) to no embarrassment or awkwardness. They’re patient when explaining the steps, names of steps, and the «language» aka body movements and general flow of dance. Surprisingly, some of it comes naturally, like your hand ends up where your partner’s is waiting for it or your shoulders surprisingly bounce on beat. They’re such good sports too– we were also treated to their world championship award-​winning performance.
Cachet is a hidden treasure. I’m not joking about the hidden: when on Osgood, turn in when see the Town and Country sign and note that when you find the entrance, it’s on the second floor.
