If I were on a deserted island, I would choose falafels to be my one choice of food that I would eat until I die. I feel like a disgrace to my ancestors, but my taste buds don’t lie. If I could choose specific restaurants that I would like my falafels from, this would be a location I would approve, along with alameda’s Troy’s and Walnut Creek’s, Yalla. The crisp yet soft texture of the falafel is divine. The mixture of rice and vegetables resemble an airy and refreshing feeling. This meal is complex yet well-rounded with healthy and unhealthy foods, different textures and sauces and flavors to go around. I must admit I did have three meals from here in one week. I like it, what can I say? :)

Best falafel in town. Soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside. I will be back to try their shawarma. Their mint lemonade is also the best I have had In very long time. This has become my new lunch destination.

This place is like the Chipotle of falafel if that makes sense. It is a fast casual restaurant where you order and pay first. When you look at the menu, you first pick if you’d like a wrap, bowl or salad. Then you pick your protein: falafel, shawarma, etc.; and then you pick how you’d like it dressed. There are several different options with good descriptions. You can mix any combination of the 3 you like, however I’m partial to their falafel Wraps and salads, grandma’s way which is a traditional medetrranien style. I’d like to try some others and plan on it in future visits!

Hmmm what can I say? Overpriced, stingy portions, glad to see they starting serving real chicken now though instead of the soy stuff. I’ve eaten here a number of times due to convenience but I’m not overly impressed. The place is clean and the staff are ok but the food is bland sorry. Go across to auto mall and try out The Kebab Shop! Now that’s what I call a wrap!

I wouldn’t go out of my way to go to this place, but it hits the spot when you’re craving falafels/halal food. Sadly I don’t really understand the menu. it’s supposed to be like Chipotle in that you construct your own order, but how do you choose the flavors?! If I get a falafel salad why is beef shawarma a potential flavor? Wouldn’t that not be an option? Am I just slow? Who knows. Anyway, I think the portions are kind of small for the price. It’s cheap to eat here but my bf got a beef wrap and it was tiny compared to the shawarmas I’ve seen. he probably could have eaten two. My falafel salad was pretty tasty and I wasn’t super hungry, but the portion wasn’t too generously sized, either. I liked the sweet potato waffle fries as well, and they came in a cute little basket. Overall this is a good quick serve place when you want some falafels/wraps but if you’re starving I would go elsewhere or order extra.

Good food and friendly staff! Portions were generous, and the falafels were freshly fried upon ordering. We ordered the chicken shawarma and their original falafel, and both were very good. The chicken could have used a bit more sauce since the meat was a bit drier but it was still very good. They have a lot more than just falafels though! The restaurant works in a build-your-own style, where you can choose your type of bread, protein, and flavor.

I been there quite a few times as it is close to my place. The food is tasty but portions are quite small for the price(especially the wraps). Must try is their hit sauce. Amazingly HOT!

Great food and friendly staff. I had beef with the traditional flavor profile option on the platter. It was a lot of food, really fresh and flavorful. Rice was fresh and they put lots of good stuff on top of it. The beef was plentiful and tasted great, and I look forward to trying all the other flavoring options they provide on the menu. I chose the salad for the side, I end up mixing it all in and I like the cool fresh tomato up in there. Sauce was perfect amount so I don’t need to order a side of it. Baklava was awesome and crunchy and not too sticky, had a great consistency that I haven’t ever had before. I suggest to try it. Next time I want to try the hibiscus tea they have, I usually see that at Mexican restaurant so it will be cool to find out if they make it any different.

More than just falafels. They have the Beef Shawarma, the Pita and Hummus, the Baklava, and some American sodas. In fact, I’m still not even sure in first-hand experience I can tell you what a falafel is. But I’ll tell you this. That spitfire beef with tomatoes and cilantro in a pita wrap is just good enough that it’ll bring back again one day soon. #pithy

Tasty falafel, wraps, larger plates, and other offerings, served at just-right portions and just-right prices. Can’t go wrong with anything here. The staff is super friendly and accommodating, and the venue is sparkling clean. It’s tucked away in a strip mall but otherwise worth the visit for a good, cheap, filling meal.

Excellent customer service and the food was delicious. I went in a few nights ago and had a chicken wrap and my wife had a chicken plate and we both loved the taste. I had forgotten my wallet there and the owner picked it up and didn’t see any way to contact me besides my drivers license address. When I realized I lost it I went there in person and he had it and told me that he was about to go to my house and drop it off. Very honest and the food was delicious I would recommend everyone to try this place out Long over due review. Sorry guys

Ok, the burger sauce isn’t vegan according to their website but there are plenty of vegan options here. I wish I could tell you guys that I tried one of their wraps but alas, I am still on the falafel burger hook. I had the housemade mango lassi a couple times. The drink had a thick consistency and a strong mango taste. It was very refreshing after a long walk. I would recommend giving their soups a try. I hope they bring back their cream of tomato soup. It was really delicious. It was creamy but not heavy at all. I got it in a cup but had I known how awesome it would be, I would have opt for a bowl. Next time I will try their Grandma’s original wrap and see how that goes.

I came here on a weekday afternoon, and it was empty(rightfully so, who normally eats at 3PM anyway?). I ordered an original falafel on salad, and it was pretty bland. It was also not a lot of food; it can serve as a big snack or a small lunch. I got half baked half fried falafels aka 2 of each, and the fried ones were definitely better. The baked ones lacked the crunchy outside, and for some reason, the fried outside had a better flavor too. The salad was pretty fresh, but it wasn’t very flavorful. I think the whole meal was just really bland, and I didn’t really enjoy eating it. I would not really recommend this place, and I don’t see myself coming back. It was also expensive for the quantity; $ 7.11 including tax for a small bowl of salad and 4 falafels? Meh.

Tried this last Sunday. Chipotle like concept. Serves halal food. We got the chicken plate and a side of falafel. The staff isn’t very fluent in English. The menu was confusing and I asked a few questions. They could answer none. So I decided to go safe with a chicken shawarma plate. It is rice with a selection of toppings(like onion, tomato, jalapeño, olives etc) and a selection of sauce. Initially we were told it was 1 sauce per dish but When they started packing I got a total of 4. The quantity of chicken was dismal. Threw half the rice as I ran off the shawarma. The veggies weren’t the freshest. Got 4 sauce– madras, hot, tatziki and garlic. All were bad. The only redeeming factor was the falafel. Definitely not coming back

Whether my stop is at Fremont, or simply driving past Fremont, I almost always make a stop at Fremont for food. Be it Indian or Afghanistan or Mediterranean or desi pizzas, Fremont has the best of all. On one such day when we were in Fremont, I ordered food for pick-up from Just Falafel. I ordered chicken croquette, chicken shawarma and beef shawarma with rice. One has the option to choose wrap as well. Chicken croquette was delicious; loved how all the flavors played inside. The chicken shawarma was great too; the chicken and the rice were flavorful. Beef was dried out, probably because I refrigerated it and ate it the next day. Tip: They add yogurt on top of the meal, meaning it is not one of those dishes you’d want to store and reheat the next day. It is something to be eaten fresh. I did the mistake of reheating the beef shawarma the next day and was disappointed.

It takes a special kind of restaurant to get me to actually like Mediterranean styled food. I usually hate it. I can’t stand it. I go bleck at the sight of it. But I decided to give Just Falafel a shot, and holy amazeballs batman I am glad that I did. I got myself a chicken wrap with the original shawarma flavoring. It was so tasty like whoa I could eat this forever kinda dealio thing. It’s not even that my expectations were low either. I genuinely liked the wrap. It was super juicy and flavorful, and each bite was seemingly better than the last. Loved every ingredient that they put in there! Ordering is a cinch as well. You pick what style you want, you pick your protein, and you pick your flavor. Easy as one two three do re mi. You can also custom make your order as well for those of us that know exactly what they want, when they want it. Also, the guys that work here are pretty awesome. They were super nice and friendly when I was there, and they were more than willing to give us advice on what to order. I’ll definitely be coming back here again. Too good not to!

Cool new joint! It’s like Chipotle for falafels! You pick your wrap or bowl or platter, the protein than the flavor you want. tried the original falafel on wheat wrap and the vegetarian tenders one. Props for the healthier wheat tortilla options.
