I live in San Ramon. Anytime I’m in Fremont, I always try to drop by Los Cabos & pick up my fave burritos. My go to– bean, cheese & rice burrito, carne asada or shredded chicken super burrito, all with refried beans. To die for. Love it here.

Can’t anything less than 5 stars. * Never disappointed yet * Great salsa bar. The onion — jalpeno & cabbage salsa gets my taste buds all worked up. * The super veggie burrito wet style with 2 salsa is mouth smacking. I am a vegetarian and I have a wet style burrito here at-least once a week. I have been having it here since 5 – 6 months now and I still love their flavor.

My go to for comfort food, always and forever! The shrimp burrito is so saucy and warm and fresh, there is no burrito in the Bay Area that measures up. They’re always either too dry, or too bland, or too cold, this place is consistently delicious. They also have a wide variety of salsa, all of which are fresh — I also appreciate the fact that they cover their salsa because places that keep them in an open area always seem unsanitary to me. I should also mention that I Iove the staff too, they are so sweet! What more can a girl ask for?

The food wasnt that good and its pricey as well. I wanted to get tacos but they each go for $ 5 which is a ridiculous price for tacos. Wont be going back.

Found this place on Unilocal! and reviews are accurate. I called in my order and the woman that answered was really nice and patient with answering ALL my questions, even when you could clearly hear how busy they were. Ordering was quick and time to pick up was fast too. Atmosphere is very welcoming and busy(sign of a good restaurant, in my opinion) but clean. Order was ready to go and I was in and out with my pick up. My staff loved their Carne Fries and Super Nachos, definitely items that you should try! I ordered a fish taco and a shrimp taco for me(FAVORITE kind of taco). Both were soggy and had no flavor to them. The meat itself was good but the tacos were drab. Besides the seafood tacos, I will be back to try more!

I ordered the taco salad with the shredded beef. It was incredible! The girl behind the counter is gorgeous and made it even better!!! Bien Bonita! Anyway, I couldn’t even finish the food. There was so much of it. A bit pricey but well worth it. Next time I can order the same salad with carne asada. Yes next time, she’s way too cute NOT to come back. lol I also met a customer who was super cool and she could tell I wasn’t from around here gave me other ideas to head to and eat.

I really love the atmosphere of this restaurant. It’s a relatively simple tacqueira, the food is good, but what really makes the place is the friendliness of everyone who works here. The guy whose usually rhe cashier is always welcoming and asking about your day and making you feel welcome. The food is also quite tasty. I’m not a Mexican food conniseur, but I’ve been to some very good restaurants in Arizona, TX, and the famous Tacos El Gordo from Tijuana. This place may not be as on par with some of them, but compared to the rest of Fremont they definitely hold their own. All items come with tortilla chips and there’s a salsa bar you can ravage through at your desire. Definitely try this place if you’re in the area and want some good Mexican food.

Food was fresh and hot. Corona was served with a cold glass, excellent! 5 stars. Ambience — 3−½ stars, a little rough in the corners.

Ordered food from here twice, the same thing. Second time was better that’s why I am giving it a 4⁄5. Two cheese enchiladas: cheesy, nice amount of sauce, and soft tortillas. 4⁄5 Rice: both times the rice felt under cooked. Then I found out that they make the rice and leave it out, buffet style thing by the counter. And I guess that’s why the rice isn’t soft. 3⁄5 Beans: same thing as the rice, it’s also left out. I understand but it effect the flavor. Although the beans are good they aren’t the best 3.5÷5 Salsas: I have tried the red and green. Their mild one(red) is my fav and the green is toooo spicy 4⁄5 Chips: first time they were super salty. Second time they tasted good 4⁄5 I like that they were thin, not a fan of the thick chips. My fiancé enjoys their veggie burritos. He said 4⁄5

Simple environment but great food. The Carneasada(«grilled meat») was served with a variety of beans of one’s choice, some sort of tasty Spanish rice, and golden sautéed unions & diced baked potatoes. Everything was fresh and yummy and prices were also great. It made up for the lack or servers. It was overall one of my best Latin food experiences. I’m definitely coming back.

We were ready to have some lunch. Lunch that would not disappoint as my boyfriend and I have been having no luck in the weekend lunch plans recently. Well he did a great job this time, but why not a 4 or 5? I do err on the side that this place is a 3.5 but since we can’t do half stars I scaled down. Perhaps it was what we got but I felt that it was a bit pricey for a plate of nachos($ 10.50) and the wait for the food was a little long but perhaps it’s because it’s prepared with care? Not sure why but it did take some time for us to get one order of Super Nachos with al pastor. There’s globs of guacamole and sourcream with a healthy pile of chips beneath enough to feed two people. The al pastor was so flavorful. I highly recommend it. The salsa bar was also good as it had a lot of choices for non super spicy eaters like me. You can eat all the pico de gallo, mild salsa, green chile salsa, onions, limes, etc to your heart’s desire! With each order you do get a small bowl of chips which felt not so fresh. I do wish we could get refills but maybe you can but I didn’t know about it. There’s a lot of seating as it’s a fairly large interior. The restaurant is located in a little strip mall with a Smart and Final Extra. The place isn’t easy to pinpoint immediately as it’s labeled as Mexican Restaurant with Los Cabos in tiny print. So just look for the Mexican Restaurant sign. Still I would consider coming back. Perhaps next time I’ll try something different and see if the service is a bit faster.

Call me racist if you will but when you walk into a Mexican place and the only patrons you see eating are non-Mexican… you can only wonder what kind of food they have. As soon as I walk in, I wanted to walk out. However, my significant other and my son were hungry so I figured, WTH. All the empty tables were dirty so we had to wait until one got cleared all. I hate the places where they offer free chips while your food is getting made, yet they just give you a tiny bowl! WTH You either offer enough chips for everyone who’s ordering or don’t offer them at all. The tortillas from my tacos were super greasy and the meat was nothing worth raving about. Yup… not again.

Time/Date: Saturday Night around 7pm(no lines) Meal of the day: Dinner Would I recommend it? YES! Pro Tips: Park near the Smart & Final or the Phở restaurant. Around dinner time, it’s EXTERMELY difficult to find a parking spot in the parking lot in front of restaurant. Ain’t anybody got time to fight for convenience parking spots. The place is hard to locate. It’s RIGHTNEXT to the Indian restaurant called Shalimar Restaurant. If you see a sign that say«MEXICANFOOD», that’s the place. It takes both card and cash! What I ordered(See pictures attached): Chicken Tortilla Soup Regular Nachos Food Quality: THEBESTMEXICANFOODEVER! Everything is literally just so FRESH. Legit Mexican food! Writing this review makes me want to drive over there right now. But, the plate of Nachos had WAYTOO much onion. Seriously though, they use the freshest ingredients! Seating Area: The restaurant itself is a little older, but very comfy! There are usually families eating there! Right in the seating area is also a self-serve sauce bar, so you can mix your own spicy sauce! Although the tables and chairs are older, but they are pretty clean for the most part! Customer Service: Very friendly staff! The cashier might have been the owner when I was there. Very nice people! And, service is pretty fast! I would say the wait for your food is about 10mins or less! Parking: Plenty of parking in the Smart & Final parking lot! Overall: MYFAVORITE Mexican food restaurant! OMG! Until I find another authentic Mexican food restaurant, this is my all time favorite in Fremont! Highly recommend!

My parents kept talking about Los Cabos, so we picked up dinner from here when I was visiting one night. We came in around 6pm on a Saturday night, and there was no line to place our order at the time. We tried: –Enchilada Plate(Served w/Rice + Beans, $ 8.40, ): My dad loves this for some reason, but aside from the good price, there wasn’t anything I liked about the enchiladas or rice or beans. Everything was on the bland side, and I wouldn’t order this dish again. –Carnitas Super Taco($ 3.60) & Carne Asada Super Taco($ 3.60) [ : Ok, but nothing special. I thought the carnitas and carne asada were both a little dry, and I wouldn’t get either again. Either I’m too used to having good Mexican food in San Francisco, or I came on an off night since I really didn’t like anything that I tried here. At least the salsas were pretty good, but couldn’t quite save the food that I had. I doubt I’ll be back here, but might give it another try at some point since I’m sure my parents will try to drag me back. Parking right by the taqueria can be difficult here since you have to compete with the people dining at Shalimar and the pizza place, but there is additional parking in this same complex that requires just a little additional walking.

Honestly, I was really disappointed when I tried Los Cabos the other day. I couldn’t really understand why there are so many 4-star reviews! The tacos were only okay. They lacked flavor. The super burrito was way soggy and soaked with a sauce that didn’t really help the burrito taste that much better. The lettuce in the burrito threw it all off. Now, the super nachos were pretty good, though still not the best I’ve had. However… They were so hot that they burned through the plastic take-out containers and there were actual holes on the bottom! That can’t be safe to consume. Perhaps some salsa from the salsa bar would’ve helped.

Been next door to Shalimar many times over the years and never noticed this place until I saw it online. It would be nice to have more quality Mexican options. ***FISHTACO Quite simple – grilled(presumably) tilapia, a pleasant glaze with sautéed onions, topped with standard shredded lettuce. The fish was pleasantly tender; however, it was noticeably fishy, which is a deal-breaker. Had it not been, it likley still wouldn’t have been interesting enough to try on a repeated basis. ***CARNITASTACO Your average carnitas topped with diced onions and a tomatillo salsa. The meat wasn’t overtly dry, but it would have benefited from more juice, plus the flavor was just so-so. Nothing special here. ***CHICKENENCHILADAS Meh. They used a scanty amount of mozzarella or similar non-queso-fresco melting cheese on top. The red chili enchilada sauce was mixed with something unknown as well as a melted cheese or cream to lighten it up – didn’t really work flavor-wise. Standard corn tortilla, and only chicken on the interior. This was not a great piece of chicken, and it tasted almost boiled. There were some ugly spring mix greens tossed all over the plate that were pretty painful to eat without any dressing. Pretty meh from top to bottom. ALLINALL: I didn’t discover any mysteries of the universe here, and frankly, I wasn’t expecting to.
