Very excited to get my Fusion X Mobic bike a day ahead of delivery. Met the Fed Ex delivery truck and took it right out. Man that feels good! I ordered the Fusion after I spec’d out the components to be similar in performance to my road bike. Although I had not been riding in years, I knew I would expect the best in performance. Mobic did not disappoint. I saw this bike a year ago and had concerns about a purchase without a test drive. Just got back from an hour ride in an urban area and it felt really good. The breakdown even for a first time user was quite easy.

The boyfriend and I bought ourselves a couple of folding bikes in preparation for our move up to SF. They are really awesome and convenient for riding around the city, and they don’t take up much space in our small apartment thank goodness. They were a bit pricey(about $ 500 each) but now I think that it is worth it considering how small they can fold and the quality of the bike materials. It was also nice to meet Michael who gave us a run down of the bikes and Mobic in general. He was really helpful and even knocked off tax for us since we were buying two bikes.

I first came across a Mobic Bike from a friend last year who was really excited about having one and enjoyed bike rides with his wife. I tested it and was instantly hooked and had to get a bike for my wife and me each. The Mobic Bikes rides smooth, convenient, and fun to ride around. When I first met Michael, the owner, he was really genuine and you can tell that he really cares about his product and customers. At that time, I was happy that there was a promo with the carrying bags(which comes in handy). I came in for a tune up yesterday at their new location. Their new location is much bigger with a larger warehouse unit. Since last year, they really expanded on their model offerings. When Michael greeted me, he worked on the bikes right away and offered a bike for me to ride around the parking lot. These small touches of great customer service are what I really appreciated during my experience with Mobic Bikes. I offered to pay for any parts for tune up, but Michael said not to worry. Other businesses would nickel and dime you, but not Michael. He really wants to make sure the customer leaves away happy. I am a big fan of Mobic Bikes and how he runs his business is inspirational to me.

This is a review for never having ridden a Mobic. Why? I called like 3 times before getting a perfunctory response — like, just to get rid of me. The business hours posted on Mobic’s website is not held. I came by this industrial warehouse area and there’s not a even a sign for the shop by the road(the correct street address displays the name of some other business). Then I found the cruddy shop but no sign of life in the middle of the day. Pretty spooky area. I notice all the 5 star reviews here are posted by guys, Yeah we Real Men don’t want no girl riding our product.

The folding bike they sell is great! I am able to commute with it on Bart. Easily folds and light enough for me to carry up and down stairs. Also folds small enough for me to easily fit into the trunk of my car. I met with the owner of the company. He was able to teach me tips on how to quickly fold the bike and maneuver the bike when it’s folded. Great service, great product!

Excellent quality folding bike at very affordable price. The bike is very well designed and balanced. My wife and I have taken it to lots of paved and unpaved bike routes in the bay area, and we never get disappointed. Mobic improves quality of life, too! We live in Fremont and we always ride our folding bikes across Dumbarton bridge to have Philz Coffee in Palo Alto on a sunny weekend. I always keep my Mobic in the trunk, so I can take a quick sprint during my lunch hour! Just a little more details: I am 5’8 and I have found Citizen Gotham 2 is a bit cramped. I can fit two folded Mobics in the trunk of my Toyota Matrix without have to fold down the backseat. The pics on honestly reflects the true beauty of a real Mobic bike. Michael is very professional and knowledgeable, yet friendly and attentive.

I’m a fan! I got my bike right from Mike about a month ago. I’ve been riding it around to make sure it was good before I took off for the Caribbean. It passed all tests so far. It works well and that is the main thing at this point. I’ve ridden it pretty hard but only about 30 miles total so far. The big question I suppose will be how it is holding up in a year. But for now I’m very happy! The bike rides well and folds up quickly and easily. Price-wise it was a big savings over the Dahon and other folding bikes that don’t look to be as good as the Mobic. For sure I’ll write again if a weld breaks for something but for now I’m really happy! Also Mike was great to deal with. He let me ride around the parking lot, got a seat post that was a little longer(I’m 6′ 2″) and was just generally a good guy.

I started a job in the city about a month and a half ago and got this mobic bike. It’s turned the most miserable part of my commute(curse you AT&T park crowd and the muni!) into the best part of my commute. I’m not a bike person so anything I say is just from my laymen’s perspective, but this is a great folding bike at a great price. It’s got much higher quality parts then the other low end(200 – 300 dollar) folding bikes you see and seems to be very comparable to the dahon folding bikes. It’s also got a great warranty on all the parts, 5 years for most of them and 1 year on the more used parts. Mine rides very smoothly, folds and unfolds very easily/quickly, and doesn’t give me any problems. I take it on the Caltrain, stick it in my trunk, etc. It’s actually a lot of fun and i’ll probably be getting one soon for my fiancée so we can throw in the car and take with us on trips. I had a very good experience dealing with Mike who started mobic bike. He’s clearly very passionate about bikes and for him I think he genuinely just gets a lot of joy out of seeing people discover how fun and convenient these bikes are. He gave me a terrific deal on my bike and I’d do business with him again anytime.

First, let me say that I am not a hardcore bicycle enthusiast. I don’t wear spandex and I don’t have a giant bike rack on the back of my car. Nor do I regularly commute by bike. That being said, I bought two Mobic bikes last year for bicycling around the neighborhood or using during picnics/camping trips. The greatest thing about these bikes is the way that they fold — I can fit two of them in my hatchback and still have plenty of room to haul other gear. The fact that they fold also makes them much easier to store in my garage. And the folding process takes less than a minute and doesn’t require the strength of a bodybuilder to perform. Absolutely brilliant design. Mobic bikes also ride great, and seem to use high quality name brand components(e.g. Shimano.) The bikes also have a very unique but cool looking style and I get a lot of positive feedback about the bikes when I go riding. Finally, compared to all the other folding bikes on the market, Mobic was way less expensive! Overall, a great product at a wonderful price that works well for my needs.

I recently moved to a new home that is far enough from public transportation that its too far to walk. Since I use public transportation about 2 – 4 times per week I needed a way to get to the MUNI without walking(not because I’m lazy, but because I don’t have the extra time in the morning). I thought about a skateboard, but realized that I’m just to old to be kicking my leg to one side to get the needed momentum. Plus, at my age if I take a fall(which is likely with all the gravel around my house) my bones won’t handle it like they did when I was 12. I had seen some people around San Francisco riding on what looked like folding bikes so I did a search on Google and came across Mobic. I really liked the idea of a folding bike for a number of reasons. First, I am short on space in my new home(it is City living after all) and the idea of eating next to a full size bike in our living room didn’t sit well with my wife. Second, public transportation typically does not allow full size bikes, whereas folding bikes like Mobic easily fold up in 15 seconds into a small bag which can be taken on MUNI, Bart, or Caltrain. Before buying the Mobic, I also looked at folding bikes from Dahon. I’m very analytical and before I buy anything I like to do a full head to head comparison. I’ve been like this since I was a child(maybe I fell off a counter as a baby??) so its just how I’m built. Anyways, after doing the head to head comparison, I found that both bikes shared many of the same high quality components and were both well designed, but the real selling point for me was the fact that Mobic was priced significantly lower and is a local company(I love supporting local companies!). I’ve had my Mobic folding bike for about 4 weeks now, and I love it! Not only am I using it for getting to and from public transportation, but I’ve been riding it on the weekends along the Embarcadero. I got a basket with mine which was perfect for bringing back produce from the farmer’s market at the Ferry building. I highly recommend Mobic portable folding bikes!
