They made me a delicious vegetarian breakfast burrito this«afternoon». Eggs,(tater tot) potatoes, fajita peppers and onions(no meat), I don’t even think there was cheese in it. It was hot and fresh, Simple but I enjoyed it. Thanks!

DONOTCOMEHERE! Where to begin? … Food: — Salty! — Unauthentic«mexican» food — Meat is dry Sanitation: — If you read the previous low star comments, it’s all true — No hand washing while prepping, cooking, and handling food — Surprise hair — Spit in food Customer Service: — The most unprofessional service of ALLTIME — Young disgusting cashier female with no sense of professionlism My order was a pick up order that was completely wrong. I demanding a full refund of money due to the crappy food and even more crappier service. I actually feel sorry the owner the mid aged woman with the glasses. The laughable part was while talking to the owner demanding my refund, the young dirty cashier tells her«no, you’re too nice that’s why people be coming in here always scamming you for refund» I told the owner, if I’m not the only one who’s complained and asking for a refund which your own employee who is at the front of your business and is the first interaction a customer has with your business. Then it’s not every customer, maybe she should take a look at her employee and see that customers don’t come in to scam on taco or burrito, but that there is something ACTUALLY wrong with the business because a good business would not be having regular constant incidents of complaints or asking for refund. To the point where they’ve had to print out on their receipt, food needs to be returned for a refund. This place is a POS and you can tell by the reviews … it surely is going downhill and the business will definitely fail sooner or later.

Five stars just for having a Taco Tuesday where all tacos(street kind) are one buckaroonie. There’s pleny of salsas and pickles to enjoy. Make a mound of onions on top. If you want to splurge, get one fancy taco and share the topping with one or two street tacos. Students who are off for the summer can go have lunch with a friend with such an amazing deal like this.

I was introduced to Mr. Taco last Friday. I cannot say enough good things about the food & service. I will for sure eat here again!

The OG locals remember this place as Iguanas Taqueria, but I’m super excited that it is now Mr. Taco! After calling 5 other taquerias within a 5 mile radius, Mr. Taco was the only place that offered«Taco Tuesday Specials”-small corn tacos for only $ 1 each. What’s nice about their«TTS» is that you can select whatever meat you want. Other places usually only offer carne asada, chicken or carnitas, but not Mr. Taco! It seems like Mr. Taco is family ran and the customer service here is legit. They totally hooked it up with salsa cups and orange sauce! So the corn tacos are pretty standard size, with a good meat to onion/cilantro ratio. I ordered an extra side of Spanish rice and sprinkled a spoonful over each of my tacos which made the taco perfect! I would have to say that the carne asada was on the salty side, but after squeezing a lime and putting extra salsa, it was good. The carnitas and Barbacoa beef was delicious. I’m excited that a decent Taqueria is just around the corner from me; looking forward to my next Taco Tuesday visit…

First time coming to this establishment since it was Iguanas. we called around looking for a decent«taco tuesday» spot and Mr Taco was the only one near our place in Union City that had«specials». so glad we came in. choose from 8 different meats for the $ 1 taco special(lengua is still $ 2). I went with one Carne asada, one carnitas, one barbacoa, and one lengua. really flavorful meats, but carnitas takes the crown this round. we initially had ordered for eat-in, but changed it for to-go when we realized that beer wasnt served. went to the liquor store 3 doors down and got a 12pk of pacifico to go with the tacos. plus a star for them packing our tacos in plates including our respective individual orders. other places would have wrapped them according to meats, making us divide them ourselves. my sister went a bit nuts with the salsa bar. the medium salsa was the most empty, so we assumed it was the most popular. asked the cook if she had more, but it was the end of the night, so I guess they didn’t want to put more out. no worries, cause the hot was really tasty, and not overly spicy. got some orange sauce to go and based on my recent la vic’s orange sauce experience, I’d have to give the orange sauce nod to Mr Taco this time. We’ll easily be back for another taco tuesday adventure. will give a higher rating for beer availability and cleaner tables. we had to wipe down our table before sitting.

Our family comes here more often than we should. Mr. Taco is our go-to spot for Carne Asada’s burrito’s.

I always come here when I’m close by, for tacos and flautas. All of the workers are sweet and the meat is really good!!!

First time here, had a burnt tortilla and burnt asada in my burrito. Taste so burnt, I had to throw most of my burrito away.

Great value for money and the vegetarian options have actual vegetables! I usually get the veggie torta from here and it tastes awesome with their orange sauce. Tacos are great as well. The store is not very big, seats about 25 but many people order food to go. There’s always something good on tv while you wait for your order. Their horchata is pretty sugary though.

Really crappy experience and won’t give this place a second chance! Chips and Salsa — cost a fortune & the Salsa taste like tomato paste! Got the ‘Regular’ burrito, asked for ‘No beans!’ Either I didn’t make myself clear, or the person taking my order didn’t understand what ‘NOBEANS’ means, but either way, I got extra beans, hardly any rice and a tiny amount of chicken. To make matters worse, the Husband got the same as me, so I couldn’t even negotiate a burrito trade! If it didn’t take 15 minutes to get our food, I would’ve asked for a new one!

Really crappy experience today. Came in with a big party of 7 and my brother ordered a regular burrito with shrimp NOT the shrimp burrito because he can’t eat mayonnaise. Well, they got it wrong & it was a shrimp burrito(totally different ingredients than the regular, btw). He very politely explained that his order was wrong & they wouldnt give him his correct order. Very poor customer service & you just lost quite a few customers rather than just remaking the burrito. The receipt even mentions that if the order is wrong bring receipt & food up and they will fix it LOL

My first time trying this place thanks to my significant other and I give it 5 stars.(: The crispy grilled chicken tacos are so good, I love it. The quality of their food is yummy. We also got their soft tacos, all grilled chicken as well, perfect! Haha. I personally love this and I would go back over and over again. DONOTBELIEVENOTNEGATIVEREVIEWSONHERE. Hahaha. Well, my significant other and I are happy customers especially me. They have gained a new happy one, lol.

I love this place. I always do a Togo order. Normally I call before hand so by the time I get there I just pay and leave. Their orange sauce is better than la Vic’s(in my opinion) but you have to specially ask for it. There is salsa and etc as well. I always get the super mini burrito with grilled chicken and it’s super yummy! I heard the quesadillas here are also great here! A must try! :]

The concept of this place looks exactly like iguanas but they have more meat choices. They’re orange sauce tastes a bit different but it’s still good. Prices are decent. Food is alright. Sucks they don’t have one in San Jose area

Love this place and their sauce! So freaking good. A friend recommended this place to me one day and it was so close to work I decided to try it out. I ended up getting the super quesadilla which was super messy but the taste totally made up for the mess lol. Prices are also very reasonable and they have a wide selection of different meals. I will be coming back to try out their fries which look soooooooo good! Give this place a try and you won’t be disappointed:)

This place is across the street from me and I just barely went to taste their food. I now hate myself for waiting so long. This is the first Mexican restaurant I have encountered(in the area) that does not water down their salsas. Their vegetarian and bean burritos are the best. Parking can be a hassle due to the sushi restaurant next door.

Mr. Taco is just an average Mexican restaurant with decent food and serves up morning breakfast, tacos, burritos, enchiladas, flautas, nachos(including French Fry style), quesadillas, traditional sides, etc. Nothing too special about this place, but I have to admit that their burritos are enormous and I can’t imagine how large their super and double varieties are(you can get your burritos chimichanga style or covered with sauce for an extra charge, $ 1 and $ 1.50, respectively). I ended up ordering a regular carne asada burrito(no sauce and not fried) with pico de gallo, rice, and black beans inside(you can get a choice of black, refried or pinto beans, all lard-less so the sign claimed on the giant menu). The burrito was flavorful, but it had so much tomato from the salsa and overabundance of beans with very little meat(very skimpy). Where’s the beef?! I also ordered a couple of small tacos(pollo asado and carnitas). Again, not very generous with the amount of meat(the chicken was well seasoned, but the pork was dry and fried a little too much) and I was definitely eating more tortilla than protein. Also, it looks like they no longer offer free in-store made tortilla chips with your food order which is a bummer. In the end, it was their famous creamy orange sauce(I think it has a Habanero base) which saved the day for my ordered items by adding some really good spice to the food. I think I would have been more satisfied if they sold Choco Tacos for dessert(that was a joke and Choco Tacos are disgusting, LOL). Perhaps today was just an off day since I did order food pretty close to closing time(6:00PM on Sundays), but I’m willing to give Mr. Taco another try and order their enchiladas and especially the nacho fries which I hear is pretty good. Until next time…

We came here purposely for the Carne Asada Fries and had it for take out. The service was a bit slow as our take out took a while to come out. We ordered a mexican drink while we waited in the car for our order. The pineapple flavored drink was okay. Nothing special. When we got home we looked at our take out order and it was just not presentable and quite messy. Just take a look at the picture. The fries were so soggy and the meat was not tasty at all. The sour cream and guacamole overpowered the fries. It was only a 10 minute drive from the place to the house so it couldn’t have been because it was sitting out. I probably wouldn’t try this place again. We couldn’t even finish this plate amongst the 3 of us because it was that bad. The portion to price and quality of food was not worth it in my opinion. I’ve tried Carne Asada fries but they didn’t taste like this.
