Ordered mango bubble tea and it’s too sweet. The phở is ok. People are not that energetic or customer attentive.

One of the worst phở places I have ever been to. The only reason I even came here is because it is conveniently located close to home. Never again. Price is cheap, the portions are a lot smaller than your typical phở place. I had the #1 small phở for about $ 7: taste was decent, not much beef flavor in the broth. After finishing my bowl, i was still hungry. Ok, at this point, I would rate this place as 3 stars. Fast forward to a couple hours post meal — I felt like i was dehydrated and also had cotton mouth and a migraine for the rest of the night. That can only mean one thing — a ton of MSG. Never have I ever had food that gave me such a bad aftereffect. I am staying away from this place.

Rarely do you see Phở Noodle House offering oxtail phở. Not only does it taste very good and authentic, it is also not typically served in phở restaurant. Which why it gets 5 star and better rated then the other due to the offering.

I have to start out with the fact that I am a Vietnamese Phở Snob from San Jose. I have had some of the most flavorful and delicious phở, so when I review places like these I tend to compare it to some of the better phở spots that I have been. My friends and I come here occasionally after a long night of drinking and need some sodium filled broth to bring us back to life. I always get the Phở Dac Biet(combo). You should always get this when you go to a new phở spot to sample all of the different types of meat that they have. The broth isn’t too thick and rich, a little on the bland side. The array of meats that come with it are good though. They give you quite a lot of meat. My favorite thing here is the Vietnamese Iced Coffee. It is so thick and rich. It will perk you up so quick and get rid of that hangover before you know it. The service here is hit or miss depending on who you get. Sometimes we come here and they immediately take care of you and other times they forget about you and you have to ask them a couple times for stuff. Once we were eating and these guys came in and started singing christmas songs for tips, which was not good for my hangover. Overall, not the best phở spot, but it is close enough to my house to help with my recovery. Also they accept credit cards which is a lot different than most Asian restaurants.

Hands down best phở place i have ever been to. The service is great. They are quick to bring the food. Great for on the go or lunch time during work. The bowls are huge and decent price. You get what you pay for. The spring rolls are fresh and crisp and the peanut sauce is to die for. I actually crave the peanut sauce… thinking about it now my mouth is watering! Seriously… go here!

3 stars for the food, negative stars for the workers. Not really a surprise though, most Vietnamese food places tend to have a grumpy attitude(until I start speaking in Viet and all of a sudden they don’t seem to despise me anymore *eye roll*) I ordered a grilled pork rice plate to-go, which I’m glad I did since I get to enjoy the food without the negative vibes. The food was good, although a bit more greasy than most places.

I never know how to rate this place because it’s never consistent. Only few of the workers are nice but others are rude. I always come here for phở and we always get seated quickly when we arrive and I feel like they rush us a little to take our orders but today a lady in a grey sweater asked us if we were ready and I’m sure she knew I was going to say not yet and she just walked away to the next table I thought that was rude. While I was eating my phở surprisingly I found a small strand of hair in my phở as well but I didn’t complain because my mom told me not to(she use to work at a phở place when she was younger in Vietnam and Chicago so she knew how hard it was). If you’re ordering a smoothie with boba beware that they don’t give you a lot as much as you expect like from other boba places I know because I work at a Vietnamese sandwich, boba & dessert place. It was my first time ordering my little cousin an avocado smoothie with boba and I was so surprise of how little they gave us but the avocado was good and fresh. Other than that, the phở is alright 4⁄5 stars because sometimes the noodle will be too hard and you would have to wait for a couple of more mins to let it soaked up with the soup. The house special(#1) is the best but sometimes they’ll put too little of meat but today I was surprise on how much they gave us. I’ll probably come back but only if I’m desperate for phở.

Very good phở. Friendly staff. their wifi was not working properly but friendly and fast for a 10am breakfast date with the husband. We both ordered phở tai and it was perfectly seasoned and flavorful. I would recommend. Plus pretty inexpensive i think.

The food was okay here. We ended up here because the other Vietnamese restaurants were closed on a Sunday … I didn’t like the egg roll much it tasted kind of old… Also the lady working there that day at the cashier was having an argument with another person while we were eating which was a little unprofessional… Probably won’t be coming back …

Horrible! I ate here yesterday and had to call in to work today due to the most horrible case of food poisoning I’ve ever had, I’m a cook/server/bartender, and I have at least 12 years of experience in this field, and I know the importance of washing your hands, the dangers of cross contamination, detail washing and decontaminating veggies, meats, etc… I honestly based on my stomach’s pain as I write this, and my tummy not being able to hold any food at the time I can tell you that this place is not following any of this rules! Also read a few alarming reviews here about people finding dirt and bugs on their salads, with that said I will never put my health in risk by eating here again, and I will also contact with the restaurant inspector from this area for them to get inspected as soon as possible! Update: USDA and FSI have been informed.

I’ve had tons of Phở before and this one was OK. My cousin in law took me here because he said this is the place his family goes to for a nice cheap and hardy meal. FOOD: I ordered the Chicken rice plate and they also gave me a fish cake(that I didn’t know came with it) that was my first time having a fish cake. But what I did t like about that fish cake was they basically put that in the place for the rest of chicken. The rice plate didn’t come with a lot of meat since they give you the fish cake which is unfair. But the meat I did have, was very flavorful and moist. The rice was cooked perfectly and it also came with Veggies. SERVICE: From what my cousin in law told me, this is a family owned restaurant. They are doing really well for it being family owned and they offer some really good service for their customers. Making sure everything is going well. I gave them this 3 stars because of the fish cake they placed on my plate instead of the rest of the meat I ordered.

I love this place!!! I got a small chicken phở and it was the perfect size! I actually finished everything and I usually don’t finish the broth, HAHA. It’s perfect for a rainy weather out here in Fremont. I’ll definitely go back here when I visit my significant other again! :)

I just now had the Chao ga, chicken rice porridge. It was delicious. Good savory flavor in a beautiful pale broth. The consistency was good. Not thick like oatmeal not too thin. Chicken was flavorful white meat, still very juicy. Cilantro, super thin onion and fried onion or garlic on top. They gave me a generous bag of sprouts, cilantro, lime, jalapeños and chili sauce. A small was perfect. 24 oz is a small, and 32oz for large. At under 6 bucks, this was cheaper than some fast food, but it was so delicious and fresh. I will definitely be back. It is a busy place during lunch, I’m glad I ordered it to go. But they looked very efficient, with a really sweet older gentleman serving the tables and bringing out to go orders, and a few others working the dining room as well.

On a cold day like today, shrimp phở hit the tasty. Qick service and good prices.

The Wonton Noodle soup was very tasty, and their definition of «small» must have originated in Texas. Service was very fast too. The fried wontons arrived after the soup was served, but they were crispy and tasty, as they should be. I had passed by this restaurant just about everyday since 2001 and this was the first time I ate there. Now I have to try the other dishes on the menu.

This use to be my go to place to get some good cheap phở, until another placed opened up nearby, but sadly they chaged ownership. Came back to this one and it seems as this one has changed ownership too. The food is just not as good as it use to be, in fact it is horrible compared to what it used to be. I ordered a #27, which was Vermicelli with Grilled Pork and it was horrible. The noodles were so musy and it just made the dish disgusting. My mom ordered the Bun Bo Hue which is the Spicy Noodle, and it was not good. The waitress that took our order even seemed surprised that she was ordering this dish… like really? It wasn’t good. The food here is no longer good for phở, it seems as if I will have to be finding a new phở restaurant. This one simply does not fit the bill anymore. The service was okay but the food is no good.

I super dig this spot. I came here first in 2006 and had my first bowl of phở, since then it’s been my go-to-spot for Vietnamese rice plates, soups and noodle dishes. During my last visit I ordered the egg noodle soup with chicken and added shrimp. Very flavorful, noodles were perfect and I noticed that as I was finished with the noodles I was still digging chunks of chicken from the bottom; they definitely don’t skimp on the add-ins. If you’re white or just straight out hesitant on what to eat, here are some dishes that you can play it safe with: Egg noodle soup with chicken(or any meat listed) Phở with rare steak Porridge with chicken Fried egg rolls Lemon chicken rice plate(a touch spicy) or any rice plate for that matter, the meats are self explanatory. Lastly, I don’t leave without a Vietnamese coffee. If you don’t like the bitterness you have them add more crème.

It’s rare to find a decent phở place here in Fremont. I usually go to Milpitas/San Jose area for my phở or Vietnamese food fix. I came upon this restaurant while trying to go to this other restaurant. Since that one was closed, my family and I decided to come here. This place is located conveniently in the same plaza as Ranch 99 so it’s easy to find. Parking is a breeze because no one really goes to this plaza. We were seated and handed menus immediately upon our arrival. We were offered water(or tea) as well. We took some time to look at the menu and I’ve noticed that the price of this place is a lot cheaper compared to other places I’ve been recently. A lot of phở restaurants have raised their prices while keeping the same size bowl. It was pretty surprising. I ended up ordering the Bun Bo Hue. I don’t usually get that but I was in the mood for it that day. Upon getting my food, I know why their prices are still«cheap.» Their bowls are definitely not as big as the ones at other restaurants. I don’t mind though. The small was just enough for me and I was full. The food was decent. I don’t know my Bun Bo Hue that well, but I thought it was pretty okay. I had no complaints except that it wasn’t spicy enough. I thought that was the whole point? But the broth, the noodles and the meat were the usual and standard stuff. Overall, I would come back again to try their speciality phở(which has ox tail, too). I think this place is worth a try. It’s pretty decent in my opinion. I’ve definitely had better, but it’s a pretty decent find here in Fremont since we don’t have a lot of decent places like this.

Yum, cheap and delicious hangover food! The phở is not too watery and definitely has all the flavors there! The noodles were nice and soft too. Definitely now my go-to phở place since it’s only a mile away from my house!

So disappointing! Given I was nearby and just wanted my quick phở fix for the day, but I didn’t expect the food to give me such an intense stomach ache afterwards! And TMI, but I have a pretty strong GI tract so I can only conclude that the food wasn’t clean. Ordered the bun bo hue, combination phở, and an order of egg rolls. Both were average, standard ingredients and broth although there were MSG. Egg rolls never showed up and turns out it was never put into the system. Guess you should never trust someone who didn’t bother to bring a notepad to take your order. We were the only ones there at the time but service was still poor. I would’ve given this place 2.5−3 stars for the average quality food, but from the overall experience I decided to go with 2. Never returning again.
