Terrible. We walked in, took a seat, and a lady handed us menus. I went to the restroom before ordering, and I was disgusted. There was scum all over the mirror, almost no water was coming out of the sink, and the soap was just water. Made me wonder how the workers handle the food. Walked by the kitchen on the way back too– wasn’t impressed. We said no thank you and left, trying to be as polite as possible. At first I thought the lady was joking when she called me a bad girl, but then she started screaming and chased us out yelling«LIAR!» While we walked to our car, she cussed out my mother and I, generously dropping the F-bomb. Desperate? I think yes. After all, there was only one couple in there. Do not go here. Disappointing service and most likely some gross food prepared with unsanitary hands.

I was the only customer walking in at 4 – 5 p.m. to eat a couple weeks ago. The wife of the owner seemed hastled by the fack that she had to get up and serve the one customer. I went to PHO99 a few weeks before that around the same time of the day… I was the only customer then also, but I was not treated that way. To make things worse, the rice noodle was overcooked. Never going back to Phở hue ever again. I’ll be going to Pho99 from now on. Pho99 had much better review at Unilocal anyway.

This place is miss named, it should be called Bun Bo Hue, not phở hue, because everyone that works here is from hue, hue is the central part of Vietnam. so who else knows more about central Vietnamese cooking than these people. I had a large bowl of bun bo hue for $ 10 and it was pretty good. there was so much food I could not finish. I would like to see this little hole in the wall improve, they try very hard, if you take a look at there menu there is a wide variety of exotic dishes they can make. I believe this place could be great. they just need some help in the right direction. perhaps you could give them a visit and give them some suggestions. I pass by this place everyday and it seems they’re not getting a lot of business and I fear they will be going out of business very soon if people don’t help out or give them a try. I hate to see a business like this go under.

This is a long awaited review. We went here when it first changed hand into Phở Hue. We ordered our food and on the wall, they had advertised their prices. However, THATWASNOTTHEPRICE. When we got our bill, the price wasn’t right, to what was on the wall. According to the guy working there, they had just changed hand and had not had the chance to remove the prices off the wall. Like really, that’s your excuse?! I mean really, after telling us that, the guy didn’t even take the price down! Why keep it there if it’s not the price anymore?! Although, the cashier at the end, ended up offering to let us have that certain Phở Bowl on them, meaning that bowl was free because of the problem. That’s the only reason they are getting a 2 instead of a 1. My dad, being the good citizen that he is paid for that bowl of Phở anyways, even though they offered it for free. We’ve only been here once, that was it. Whenever we want Phở, we always head to Phở 99, which is next door. They provide much better service. Don’t waste your time & money here, head to Phở 99.

I use to come here all the time as a little kid after my two hour swim practices. I came here twice over the past weekend. Still just as good as I remember. Everyone knows that the places that don’t look like a 5 star restaurant are the best. Anyways, I had the small phở with rare steak and brisket. They give you more meat than the average phở place. Food came out in less than 5 minutes and was steaming hot. The spring rolls were okay but the fried calamari was fantastic! The batter they use is also sweet. The second day I ordered a rice plate with BBQ pork and an eggroll. The pork was so tasty it’s making my mouth water just talking about it. Tons of rice with a side of pickled veggies(imagine a kimchi). It also came with some broth(phở broth) and sauce for whatever you wanted to dip in it. I will be coming here again, especially since it’s been so cold. The Vietnamese drip coffee could have been just a touch hotter and I like mine with a lot of condensed milk, they only give you a little since it’s so sweet. They also put heaters throughout the restaurant to keep customers extra toasty. Give this place a chance, keep in mind that like a lot of small businesses, it is family owned(hence the children’s toys).

Place looks run down… But the phở is one of my favorites. Been coming here for years now. The place defiantly needs a remodel but since I’ve been here for years i trust the kitchen the yummy food. But a newbie might just not want to try it! Smoothies are on point as well… This helps anybody feeling tired get nutrients to feel a bit better!

I’m really sad to see the low review this place gets since the family and I have grown to love this place. Our go to phở place when we are not on our no-carb diet. The prices are very reasonable and the service is great. I feel that people may have misunderstood some of the actions by the owners as being too watchful. There has been a string of dine and dash and even robbery in the area so they are more aware of their register and the people in and out. I know recently a group of kids went in and even pushed the owner down. I totally understand their precaution and their need to be more aware. As for the food, I have never been unhappy with the phở there and I feel that the portions are great if you get the right size. I am a carb lover and I always get the large cause I usually just eat the noodles and meat, don’t really spend time on the broth. My friend loves the broth, so she gets the medium cause she eats the entire bowl. They have an awesome claypot chicken I like and again, I love the kimchi side dish. I think there is some kinks with each place and you just have to know what to get here and you will be super happy!

My second time here and I still don’t like it. The only thing I like was the tea. So the hubby and skinny boy wanted to eat Phở and not what I had in the fridge… lol. They decided to go for Phở. I say let’s go to Phở 909 in Milpitas, but I was out voted since the family said they wanted to go to a place closer to home. So we ended @ Phở Hue, over several objections coming from me. So hubby and skinny boy ordered«phở tai chin» which is phở with cooked and rare beef in the bowl. I didn’t want to eat phở since my phở is better, so I ordered«bun bo hue». The typical«bun ho hue» should have some beef shanks, pig’s knuckle, some cooked blood cube. What I had in my bowl was lots of noodle, very bland broth, two thinly sliced pieced of beef, two thinly slices of «cha lua»(not supposed to be in there), a piece of pork, and two small pieces of blood cube. I was quite disappointed since these people came from that region(Hue) in which the dish originated from. I’m no super cook or anything like that, but I think my «bun bo hue» is better than that. Plus, if I pay close to $ 9 for a bowl of anything, I better have a bit more meat than what they gave out. And… cha lua? c’mon! that belongs in a banh mi or with Vietnamese steamed rice sheet(banh uot). Oh the hubby and skinny boy’s bowls had very minimum meat pieces too and lots of noodle, what a rip off. I know time is tough and all that, but if a store skimp back on the food they’re serving… people are not coming back, well at least not me. That’s what happened to the previous Phở restaurant that was there(Phở Long). Like I’ve mentioned earlier, it’s my second time @ Phở Hue, first time food wasn’t good. Second time, food still not good… and more expensive. So next time if the family wants to go there again… I’ll «cook» instant noodle instead!

The Best Phở I’ve had in California. Nice people, nice atmosphere and overall satisfaction. It does what it’s supposed to do perfect and that’s why I gave it full stars.

Worst place we’ve ever been to. We ordered the soup and some spring roll, found a hair hanging from one of the spring roll(ewwww). So we told the lady and that we don’t want it anymore. She then say the other one don’t have a hair so you can eat that and il give you another one. Omg, really! No! Then she walk away with the roll, furiously. When we were about to pay she was gonna charge us for spring roll also, I’m like no I’m not paying for it. Then she got really mad and told us next time don’t order if you don’t like it. What! Whatever!!!

This place is family owned and you are treated like family! I regularly get a medium #15 with beef balls and I promise it will not disappoint. The food arrives quickly and is very hot and satisfying. Phở Hue also offers a wide array of rice plates and also serve tapioca pearl drinks if you have a sweet tooth. They have two flat screen televisions in the front and back of the dining room so you can enjoy your meal while watching prime time T.V. Another plus is they accept credit cards… how many phở spots that give you that option?!!

The food wasn’t anything special. In fact, I had a small bowl of phở ga. The broth had very little flavor, the chicken was VERY dry, and there weren’t very many noodles. Atmosphere was normal. It was very clean and tidy. They DO take credit cards with no minimum purchase, which was an advantageous aspect. Staff left something to be desired. Since I was the only one in the restaurant, it was a little awkward when one of the staff came to sit at the register and proceed to watch me eat. I’m not sure if she thought I was going to dine and ditch, but she watched every spoonful. The thing I found most rude is that she was chomping on pistachios behind the counter. And it wasn’t quiet. Very unappealing to listen to while I was trying to enjoy a quiet lunch. Overall, I wasn’t very impressed. Probably won’t be coming here again.

These people are nice but the food is pure garbage. No seriously, I found 2 dark black hairs on my rice plate(beef and shrimp on rice #31) and the shrimp tasted a day old, like they were just reheated. Chewy, dry and rubbery. The beef not grilled or even cooked long enough. It was grey in color and not so flavorful. The broth tasted old. The pickled veggies were okay, but really, how can you f that up? Sad to say, I hate giving bad reviews, especially to small businesses, but I will never visit this place again.

My favorite phở resturant in Fremont! I have only ordered the phở combination and I LOVE it. I think it’s because of the broth. The atmosphere looks kind of cheap but the phở isn’t, trust me!

Phở is good. I went for an experience on the wild side and got the carrot beef stew with rice noodles. A fine selection. Regular phở is decent, too. Prices are fair, a small bowl is around $ 6. However the spring rolls are NOT good. I thought spring rolls were usually consistently tasty. Untrue. I found them to be lacking in freshness and simply bad. Had to force down the second half of mine. Would come back for noodles only.

I went here for cheap Vietnamese lunch one day last week. It’s in the 99 Ranch shopping center on the corner of Paseo Padre Pkwy & Fremont Blvd. We were ones of the first people for lunch, service was fine. I got Phở Ga $ 5 something — chicken noodle soup small. Noodles were thin, rice noodles. Soup was fine. Chicken were little pcs that were dry. B. got Large Phở $ 6. He liked his ok. Our total was $ 13 before tip. We paid Cash. Separate bathrooms in the back.
