Soup is good. But so little meat on my bowl as if they’re counting each one of them Comparing to other phoa soup like Pasteur, 99. They have to improve on this area. My first time & last

Some of the more indifferent phở I’ve had in the Bay Area. Considering it’s the land of tasty Vietnamese food up there, maybe I’m being harsh… But the phở tai had decidedly bland everything. It wasn’t horribad, but it was a definite half-step or step below average, and when you’re surrounded by so much good Vietnamese food, why bother with average or mediocre?

I absolutely loved the food here I got the vegetable rice noodle soup(phở) and the flavors were delicious I could taste all the flavors of the veggies and herbs. I also asked for them to cook the veggies very soft as I just got my wisdom teeth out and they were very sweet about it and I was able to enjoy every bit if my dish. I will Def be coming back here and would gladly recommend it to anyone.

Since I’m not too familiar with the Fremont area, I chose this place because it was ranked #1 on Unilocal.Ordered the #6 special, but there wasn’t anything special about it, unless you like lots of noodles. There was hardly any meat, and I felt like I might has well ordered a plain bowl of noodles. There were 2 slices of steak, and the meatballs were cut into quarters. Even limes were cut into quarters! The broth was lacking all the essential flavors, and I already knew it wasn’t going to taste good just by looking at it. The color of the broth was off. Don’t come here unless you like eating plain noodles with extra skimpy meat and toppings.

Where do I start… I’m not sure what’s up with the quality of food in Fremont, but I feel like all the restaurants out here suck. The phở here is pretty bland… Literally flavorless!!! Ok I love phở and I can have it everyday, but it was like drinking hot water with stale noodle(had some funky scent when chewing the noodles). The noodle wasn’t cook long enough and was a bit hard too. I couldn’t even eat all of it because it was nasty and too much to replace the lack of meat. Okay so the soup and noodle was a huge disappointment. Then comes the rare beef and tripe… I swear they only gave probably 2 or 3 thin slice beef cut in 6 tiny pieces and 3 pieces of tripe. The small plate of bean sprouts(poor quality), basil and lime was also disappointing. Idk why would they cut their lime into tiny little pieces where you can barely get a grip to squeeze the juice. This is from someone who has tiny fingers!!! 2 stars for kind of fast service I guess. Would I recommend this place? Nah! Honestly I can’t even recommend a decent place to eat in this area. Maybe travel a bit out of Fremont for something worth your $ or just eat over priced bland food.

I came here with a group of 7 and was looking forward to trying some vegetarian phở. The service was fast, but the waitress refused to make a smoothie because they were too busy. 0.0 not sure what the deal was but I didn’t think it would’ve taken too long. They would have made money on the overpriced, powdered shakes anyway. Vegetarian phở in veggie broth: Warm, flavorful, and packed with veggies! There were slices of tofu, broccoli, cabbage, and carrots. The seasoning was strong in cinnamon but it makes sense they have to make up for the lack of animal bones. I would def return and try some other veggie dishes!

Affordable, tasty, and very close to my school. Grilled pork vermicelli. Lots of meat. Big portions for about $ 7 – 8. Plenty of bean sprouts, pickled carrots, lettuce, peanuts, fried onions, noodles, cilantro. The meat was juicy and tender. We came during lunch. Pretty much all the tables were taken. Our food took a bit longer to come out. A table that came after us got their food before us. When you first walk in the restaurant, you just see a cloud of smoke = not a lot of ventilation. The staff didn’t really come to check on us. One of the employees handing out the food was sweating. Gross. I’ve had their phở before… a lot of months back. It wasn’t bland, but it wasn’t as flavorful as I’d like.

2.5 stars. This place was not great. Got here pretty early for dinner so there weren’t that many people but the waitress approached us almost immediately after we had sat down and had not given us much time to look over the menu at all. I got 30D off the menu, which was Egg Roll, Grilled Chicken Vermicelli Noodles(it was the same price without the egg roll, so i got the egg roll). Overall, the meal was just decent. It tasted like any other vermicelli bowl that you can get at your local vietnamese restaurant. What I was upset about was that there were flies in the restaurant and no one wants to be shooing away flies from their plates. The flies did not seem to bother the waiters or owners at all, who simply just ignored it. Also, after bringing out our food(which took a pretty decent amount of time), the waitress never came back for anything(even just for water refills since we ran out) and we kept glancing over to her and trying to get her attention. Didn’t stay for any desserts since we were pressed for time and didn’t know how long it would take for dessert and the check. Won’t be coming back esp since it’s out of the way.

Slightly less than«phở“nomenal. But I still dig this place. Unfortunately it is not for their phở. But other offerings here are pretty damn good. — Shrimp spring rolls are solid. Nice and fresh with a definitive mint edge. Peanut sauce pretty good too, not too sweet. Squirt of sriracha is a callin’. –Grilled beef with green onion. Thinly sliced, marinated beef is rolled around some green onion stalks. It is grilled aggressively. It is good, even though the meat gets a bit tough from being cooked well done. But still great flavor. Chopped peanuts, scallion and cilantro round out the experience. –The phở is kind of a miss though. The broth is not bad, a little on the sweet side, but still flavorful. But the meats are a bit lacking and kinda stingy. Aside from feeling shorted on a bowl once, the chosen tendon was also a bit underdone, almost to the point of being crunchy. Most I’ve had were more on the unctuous side of the textural spectrum. Not here, booo. –Crispy Ginger Fish is good. It is basically a salt and pepper prep but with slivers of fried ginger in with the onion and peppers. Good execution, very nicely fried. –Iced Coffee looks small in a plastic-lidded cup but the strength and flavor are there. Won’t see me with my head buried in a steaming hot bowl of soup here, but there are enough other solid Vietnamese fare that they do well. For those, I shall return.

Love the phở.#14.it’s my new fav place… the broth is flavorful, and the bo nam boi is really good too. the food came out pretty fast and their menu has a lot of selection. I always drive by this small plaza, and so was surprised to see this place here… I will go here from now on for phở.

This is one of my best kept secrets of Fremont. I gotta admit my first time here I was hesitant to like this place because it’s located in a crap strip mall, and the place is small with no AC. However, I learned not to judge a book by its cover. The staff has always been friendly, and even though it’s not a 5 star restaurant service, they really try to accommodate as best as they can. This has a homely feel, I can see why it gets busy on most nights, So far, all of the food I’ve tried have been very good. Phở is tasty and not too bland. The noodles come out just right. Grilled port vermicelli bowl is so fresh packed with all the goods. Banh xeo has the perfect crisp and not soggy. This is some authentic Viet food. With their extensive menu, you’ll never have trouble finding something good to eat. Also, the location is convenient, right off the 880 and for those who want to avoid the craziness at PC, it’s just across the overpass. Parking is plentiful but i’d becareful, there’s a lot of rednecks with crazy lifted trucks due to the taco shop next door. Otherwise, you’ll never have a hard time finding parking.

Big-time Vietnamese chow-down on cheap prices. I believe I had the best plate, the #28 Vermicelli Pork & Shrimp and what a ton in there, including noodles, carrots, green onions, dried roasted garlic, a touch of lime, and sweet and sour sauce. Appetizers include crunch-munch Shrimp Tempura and luxurious Roasted Quail. Drink prices might be a bit inflated, but when you average everything in here, it’s a great deal and a cool spot escape from the heat. It’s so cool in here, that I was able to have a taste of my wife’s Beef Phở, which comes with two cuts of jalapeño in there. But I’m a big-leaf basil guy. Thankfully, this«House» pulls out no stops, and even the aroma is pleasurable. They dish out everything, and I eat up a storm. I’ll be back and back again. #wellfed

Sooooo… When my phở came out, the bo tai was already cooked… That was disappointing. Hanh beo they only gave me 4 pieces. The phở is… Ok? I can’t taste the broth much. It suck’s if you can’t taste the broth over hanh yam… But I can’t tell if it’s msg or just not cooked enough to bring out the broth flavor. The noodles were also stale. Like it was left out for a while and cooked way later. I Hafto be honest that doesn’t work with Phở noodle. If it goes stale, the chewy ness is gone. And if you cook it, its either going to be hard or mush… Should not have served those noodles TBH I should have gotten something else like the shaking beef since everyone was getting it. But I tend to judge a phở noodle house by their Phở. It was a bit disappointing. If I ever want rice plate, I would give this place another go. But if it comes to phở, I will be trekking elsewhere.

Short Story: A very decent place for phở in Fremont. Almost as good as La Sen. Long Story: I came here on a Thursday night since La Sen was closed. I’ve been here several times over the years and I have to say they changed ownership about 3 years back. When they changed ownership, the quality went down slightly. It’s still good, but not as good. We got there around 7:45PM and were promptly seated. There was about 15 people there and we were able to order very soon. We got the 2 phos(one of which had meatballs). The phở was hot and tasty(but again, not as good as a while back). The prices were decent too. Each phở(only one size) was about $ 8.50. The eggrolls there are good and fried when you order so they come out hot! But slightly overpriced at $ 6 for 4 small rolls. The ambiance and décor are average for that area. It feels a bit homely and they make the best with what they have. But that area is not as new or renovated as the Block in Fremont so if that’s what you’re used to, it’s not as cool. Verdict: I’ll be back on another cold day looking for hot soup!

Phở? Saigon? Pasteur? They combined multiple Vietnamese restaurant names into one. I thought the phở broth was pretty average here. They give a hefty amount of noodles though. The eggrolls had chopped up lettuce so you eat it on the side rather rolling the eggroll in it. Vietnamese coffee was strong. Other than that, the restaurant was pretty mellow for a Friday night but so is this plaza in general. Nearby, there’s tostada Tuesdays and taco Thursdays.

Decided to try out a new phở place before braving the crazy Pac Comm shopping area. The broth is delicious, but they are really skimpy with the meat. My husband and I ordered the combo phở that was $ 8.95, and we only got one piece of everything. I’m used to getting a ton of meat and noodles, so that was surprising. The food is good, but I don’t think I’ll come back because of the lack of meat in the phở.

Our table was dirty, so we had to ask them to wipe clean again. Wife and I ordered Phở. Hers was brisquet and tripe, mine was tendon and tripe. On both of our orders, we each found 1 piece of tripe– not kidding. Called the server over and showed it to him, and he brought some more over, but still not enough for a single order. Also, 2 pieces of tendon. When paying, I mentioned it to the owner and he said it won’t happen next time… Also, they still don’t give u cilantro unless you ask for it. How much does cilantro cost?

The waiters’ English is about as good as my Vietnamese pronunciation of banh xeo. The restaurant is dark at night with the lights on their menu turned off, making this feel like one of many deserted restaurant plazas near that giant Fremont plaza. However, he did take my order on an iPad! Banh xeo was average and didn’t have as much flavor as I recall in other places. It only has shrimp in it and more bean sprouts than anything else. You feel really bloated when you finish this meal at first. But 10 minutes later after paying your check and walking away, there seems to be a lot of room for dessert…

I have yet to try their Phở, but their Shrimp Spring Rolls w/Peanut Sauce is amazing to me! Customer service is super friendly and the food comes out really fast. I love their strong Iced Vietnamese Coffee but it only comes in one size(8oz?). They accept plastic with no minimum limit. I’ll definitely be back when I’m craving Spring Rolls again.
