Had a GREAT time at the Nile today. It was busy(proves how good it is) but three empty seats at the window counter perfect for my wife, daughter and me. The place is full of art, good conversation and laughter, absolutely perfect! My Apple Cheddar Turkey sandwich was delish, great service from a nice young man who put up with us sending him back and forth, always with a smile on his face. The owner chatted with me about what use to be in that location, it’s about 120 years old after all! All I can say is 5 stars, and they deserve it!

Cute café just off Main St. On I St. Really delicious sandwiches on homemade bread. Coffee, soups, sandwiches all great. Breakfast and lunch.

We were headed to The Vine for lunch per a friend’s recommendation, but they were closed and the man working on the exterior of the business recommended The Nile Café. The food was so good. I got a the vegetarian eggplant sandwich which came with feta and sundried tomatoes. They make their own bread which was excellent. The whole vibe of the place was cute and artistic. It was popular even on a Monday when about half of the Niles antique district is closed. It is cash only and the server was very nice. The prices was really reasonable.

Far better for lunch than breakfast, but if you’re looking for a no-frills homemade breakfast, Nile Café is good. For breakfast, I’ve tried the french toast, which was mediocre. It’s made with homemade bread, but nothing to write home about, unfortunately. The omlettes fair better though, as the spinach and feta omlette was flavorful and served with a side of herbed potatoes. Also, don’t miss the Vietnamese coffee! Both the hot and iced versions are delish.

Be prepared — this is a CASHONLY café. We only tried this place bc our first choice was a 45 – 90 min wait! …And it’s puppy friendly ;) The food was decent. The possibly family run staff was friendly. (9÷7÷14) Puppy Friendly back patio. (9÷7÷14)

I’m likin’ it as a breakfast place(and the coffee? Go get coffee here!), and I’m also fond of it as a mellow hangout, especially at ease from its random and appealing abstract art work and secret garden back patio, that I wish I was crazy enough to really give it accolades. Alas, they are sometimes really good with things and only so-so with other things. Vietnamese Coffee, fluffy bread French Toast, random scrambles of grilled chicken & egg & potatoes — it all amounts to good stuffing, all is very good, but the plate presentation could be better. Before all this that happened on my second visit, I had a modest but refreshing first visit with French Lemonade, better than average lemonade. I love it that I have somewhere to go for summertime lemonade when it’s real, real hot. The darn service though is hit and miss — it’s all one family-operated business, but give me the women over the men. A couple of clumsy moments happened, particularly when I twice said«No cheese» on my chicken/egg/potato scramble and then cheese came on it; this was one of those moments where I became moody for ten seconds. Then I got over it, was glad where I was at(secret garden, Vietnamese coffee in hand), and said, hey I’m more happy than moody. I’m not going to be a super-regular. But I do want to go back every now and again. I imagine the missus and I are going to have conversations about it. I hope she agrees too that we should go back. I think she thought it’s at least half good to her. We did agree that I will stop in sometime to pick up a loaf of handmade bread to take out. Thanks, Niles, ahead of time. #wellfed

My friends and I came here to wait for the vine on a Sunday for brunch. I ordered a chai latte and it was awesome!!! The best part were the aesthetics! It was all Egyptian themed :) it was too cute, I loved the art work everywhere and its hipster indie vibe with some good old Nile culture. The service was fast and it is CASHONLY!!! Bring your cash money because they only take papers. Overall, I would go for brunch or to eat, but definitely to have coffee with friends and enjoy chatting or playing some board games and the Nile vibe.
