I’ll make this short and sweet: bad, expensive food. Flavorless. Shitty service. Cups and utensils were dirty with lipstick stains and food particles. 40 $ for the small steak is unheard of — even for a kosher restaurant. I agree with previous posters — the pita was probably the best part of the meal, and even that was stale.

A shining star in the field of Kosher dining. One of the chief complaints we have about Kosher restaurants is their universally poor service. Shipudei Tzipora is an exception. The service is outstanding and the food is excellent. The salad tasting, which costs $ 6.99 pp(when a main course is also ordered) is well worth the price. The salads come in small dishes that are replenished speedily — all the salads are great with the cauliflower and potato salad as standouts. You can easily fill up on the salads. Main courses are fairly large and similar to prices in the neighborhood — $ 16 to $ 40 or so. It is not inexpensive, but a bit less costly than similar Kosher establishments. Wine was a bit on the high side $ 35−50/bottle. Some available by the glass — $ 8−12/glass. The décor is nice and the room very airy. One caveat — it is noisy due to the tile and glass décor. The owner is very nice and the bar is beautiful. We’ll be back and recommend others to go.

I tried Shipudei Tzipora twice(initially known as Meatos) and was VERY pleased both times so when it came time that I needed a large room(big enough for me and 80 of my closest family friends) to celebrate a very special affair, I chose the beautiful private party room at this place. Let me tell you that I could not have chosen a better place for my family function! The food just kept coming and coming and coming. I don’t know how the wait staff managed to keep smiles on their faces as they juggled plates and platters around my constantly moving and dancing relatives but they not only did so with grace, they were THEMOST kind and attentive waiters and waitresses that I have ever encountered. The food was delicious from start to finish. By the time the main course came, everyone was groaning from delicious food overload of constantly filled and overflowing platters and bowls of many many salads and appetizers.(BTW the pita is thick and delicious) so much better than all of the other places in town. The main course and side dishes were abundant and delicious and the desserts had the guests moaning in delight. I do have to make special note of the fact that one guest who had an extreme sensitivity and gluten allergy ate so much(the owner took very special care of this diners dietary requirements) and enjoyed every bite. All in all I cant say one negative thing about this place, they are top notch in both the food and the service categories. One last note, the manger Dikla was BEYOND spectacular and catered to every single need that we had in order to make this wedding party the success that it was. This restaurant is warm, inviting, attentive and all of the food is delicious and the price was just right! I’m going back to eat there next week, and the week after and the week after that too.

We used to go to Meatos and now we wanted to try its replacment. Unexpectedly we had a great time, me and my boyfriend ordered the chef’s special along with a good old buttle of Israeli wine as well as the chocolate fudge cake which was delicious! Our server was very nice too. We will certainly be coming back for more dates :)

Great food, great service! We came to visit the restaurant for the first time after recommendation of friends. We were looking for a new Israeli restaurant we never tried before. We were welcomed by the host and sat at a table of our choice. Order the salad platter which consists of around 12 little refillable salads with pita. We ordered a few baby chicken skewers, thought it was a little bit expensive but we got our money’s worth when we saw the size of the dishes along with 2 included side dishes of our choice(fresh Israeli salad and warm couscous and vegetable soup). Our waitress took great care of us, she was fast, thoughtful and smiling. Will come back here for sure!

I went to eat here after another couple recommended this place. I find the food to be overpriced and the overall experience disappointing. Plus, my husband had a stomach ace and was on the cusp of throwing up a few hours after the meal, I suspect that the salads were not made fresh. The small salads($ 7 per person) were not tasty(excluding the olives), too much mayonnaise and the fried vegetables(cauliflower, zucchini) were probably sitting for a few hours before being served. The skewers were of good quality but the prices are very high — 25 for 2 baby chicken skewers, 27 for lamb — you could get much more in the other restaurants on 108th street. The sides(salad, fries) were okay but not inspiring. The Israeli couscous was weak — no flavor to the soup. Finally, this is supposed to be a family friendly place, based on the amount of big families that come here. Still — there was not a changing table in the bathroom. The design is nice and the service is fine, but I’m not going to come back to this place.

Good food but EXPENSIVE! Many families come in for early dinner and the kids’ noise is unbearable. Since opening a few months ago they altered the main menu, the sandwich menu(the less expensive one) is no longer available unless you sit by the bar or take food out. Beware of the waitress pouring water into your glass and charging you $ 3.00 for«smart water”(poured from a plain plastic bottle), had to get the manager’s approval to have it removed from the bill.

It’s obvious that anyone who has eaten at Tzipora in Israel would have high expectations and I could honestly say they’ve been met. This place is simply superb and I have a feeling we have a new place in town that’s here to stay! Finally! We started off with a variety of their small plate salads which costs $ 7 per person. While this may seem like a lot I have to say it’s definitely worth it. Their salads were amazing… cauliflower, beets, carrot salad, 3 different kinds of eggplants, olives and many more. We were given their hummus and hot mushrooms plate on the house. Their hummus is made on house and it is delicious. Perfectly creamy with just the right bite of chickpea paired very well with mushrooms and a sprinkle of parsley. Did I mention their Pitas are served hot and fluffy right off the grill. Delicious. For mains we had two burgers(rib eye burgers). It’s pleasant to go to a kosher steak house where temperature requests are in fact met. One burger cooked perfectly well and the other medium to my request. **tip– get the burgers medium well because the meat I bit on the fatty side and those few extra minutes will make the burger all the more better! We also ordered their house cigars which were perfectly cooked and not over greasy! The tabooli salad was okay. I thought the flavor was great but was missing olive oil and had too much lemon. My mother ordered the ground chicken skewer n it was amazing!!! Perfectly seasoned and grilled juicy! Loved it. Overall the service was great. The staff was tentative and really pleasant. All our needs and requests were met on time and that says a lot for a kosher restaurant… especially given that they were ¾ full when we sat down to eat. For anyone whose looking for that«taste of home» away from home I highly recommend this place. The atmosphere was nice and felt very inviting and homey. We’ll certainly be going back!
