I have to say I have been to this restaurant about 20 times in the past year, and it is certainly my go-​to dairy restaurant. I can make a list of everything I’ve tried and describe each one in detail. The soups are amazing — butternut squash soup is to die for
Salads are amazing and big portions, paninis are my favorite though — crispy, doughy on the inside, fresh, delicious and classic spreads and sandwich fillings and cooked to perfection.
Love the ambiance, the cleanliness, professionalism, and friendly/​attentive staff. Our food always comes out within a few short minutes and the portions are very fair, large even.
Obviously its not the type of place you go for a super fancy occasion or celebration but we’ve had multiple birthday dinners there for me and my friends and it has never disappointed. Like I said — friendly, competent staff, DELICIOUS food, nice owners, everything is fresh — I only have the best things to say about this place. PS Love the way they serve their delicious fries which are obviously incredibly fresh and crunchy and delicious. Generally I’m scared to order a salad in fear of it being overpriced and underwhelming but their salads are great portions and delicious to boot.
You definitely will be seeing me back there again. :) Four thumbs up (2 for me, 2 for my hubby) I cannot think of one bad thing in my 20 visits
oh my gosh don’t get me started on desserts — I try to revolve around all of them so each time I get something different — all delicious like the rest of the food.

I love coming here. The servers take such good care of their clients, there are a lot of options on the menu to choose from, the wait time isn’t too long, the food tastes amazing, and the portions are huge! This place is especially great for vegetarians and vegans; my cousin is vegan which makes it especially hard for the family to pick a Kosher restaurant, but at this place he was able to have options, something he really appreciated.
I ordered the salmon wrap and it was delicious! The salmon was cooked perfectly and the wrap itself was big. It came with a side choice of fries or salad, and I chose fries. The fries were amazing and the presentation was beautiful; instead of slabbing the fries on the plate, they served it in a cone shaped thing (not sure what it’s called) which makes it easier to share and prettier to look at. The fries themselves were seasoned nicely, not too salty and not bland at all.
Dessert was my favorite course. My cousins and I shared a belgium waffle; it came with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream on top, whipped cream on each corner of the plate, and fresh strawberries and blueberries on top of the waffle. The waffle was warm and fluffy and there’s something special about that ice cream; it is really rich and creamy.
I will definitely be coming back for more!

Great food, great atmosphere, and service. Highly recommend the poached pear salad. Been going there since it opened. Weekends are packed but worth the wait.

Delicious food and generous portions. Very nice staff. Try the tilapia wrap… excellent!

Brunch with my partner. Great Israeli salad, wonderful cappuccino and amazing Greek omelet and attentive service. Family atmosphere and surreal but colorful veggie wall hangings.

Upon walking in, I was promptly greeted by their staff and was very friendly. Only ordered an ice coffee and stayed for over 2 hours. Staff did not try to kick us out or force us to order more. Would return if I’m in the neighborhood.

This honestly one of my favorite restaurants. Its very difficult to find a good kosher dairy restaurants. I recommend this place to everyone. They have a wide range of different types of food such as pasta, sandwiches, fish, and way more. They are very well known for there wide range of delicious desserts. Highly recommend this place!

This place is amazing! I came here for the first time with a friend. I ordered the tuna panini with a side of fries and she ordered the salmon sandwich (?) with salad. The salmon sandwich was pretty good, but the tuna panini was amazing! The fries were, and I’m not joking, the best fries I have ever tasted.
After we checked in, we wanted the iced cappuccino that was shown in one of the pictures on Unilocal,but we received a small, hot cappuccino. This isn’t much of a problem, though, since we didn’t specify.
I’d definitely come here again for their fries and tuna panini.

Came today to celebrate my sisters graduation with a party of ten and they quickly set us up by the Window. We ordered mozzarella sticks, ravioli, and tons of different salads, and all I can say is wow.
Aside from the excellent service the food was phenomenal.
Highly recommend to everyone.

Sunday brunch, party of 11. We ordered omelets, kids menu items, paninis, wraps, fish ‘n chips, milk shakes, salads… a little bit of everything. We all agreed the food was delicious (although my dad was not thrilled with the shakshuka). Service was extremely slow, though, with only one waiter for the entire restaurant. Ambiance is cute and airy. I would return with a smaller group.

Really enjoyed lunch time here with a friend. We ordered the salmon wrap with Israeli salad and a side of breakfast potatoes. Everything was absolutely delicious! Highly recommend! Take the trip or walk on over, Turnpike Café is worth it! Enjoy

This place is very clean I must say. The food is not so bad but always fresh that’s for sure. The reason why I give it 3 stars is because the last time 2 times I came here I wasn’t so pleased. The wild mushroom wrap was not so great, didn’t like it at all! But their fish entrees is always good. The service is not so fast so by the time you get everything you want your food is not as hot. Also I ordered soup here a few times and it comes to the table warm to cool which should be warmer to hot. But I would recommend this place if you like to try out a fresh kosher fish spot. Didn’t try their breakfast yet.

Came here for a brunch and was actually very impressed. Cute, relaxing casual setting that made me and my fiancé feel very comfortable. Staff is nice and service was perfect. I didn’t expect such a great experience. Cappacino here competes with the best. Good selection of food for a café. I will definitely be coming back here.

The food in this dairy café and restaurant are amazingly delicious I’m here on the weekends usually and my server Roni usually takes care of me and hooks me up pretty well. I would highly recommend this place to all the local folks in the area and newcomers. This place definetly earns 5 stars.

Over the past summer my girls and I have been coming to this place almost each morning for their delish crispy omelet & slushed coffee. They have an amazing/​gracious staff. They are very clean. And have fair prices

I came here for the first time and I have to say it’s a one of the best service I have ever received.
Our server was Roni, he greater us with a smile and made our whole dinner more amazing. The tuna panini is out of this world!
I will deffinetly be coming back!

I don’t mind paying for food and service.
It’s quite standard to leave 15 – 20 percent or more in gratuity, I’m all for it, but show me you earned it vs here’s the food and Please remind me what I forgot to bring… And don’t forget leave me a nice tip
seems like this place can use some help in that dept. My friend told me that this place is pretty good for breakfast, I decided to give I try. Granted it’s not a diner, it has comfortable seats and nice décor. Place is quite clean…
Breakfast is breakfast, the menu is quite standard: coffee tea omelette eggs bread toast jam butter Ect.
We placed the order and waited.
First off you have to constantly ask the staff to refill your coffee or tea, secondly we got our food and it was mediocre, as we got our food we had to ask for bread, butter jam Ect. That should arrive with the food and not a when we are half way done with what’s in our plates.
As a result. I wasn’t really happy with the food and service. It’s not keeping up with the New York’s standards. Thus I was forced to leave a crappy tip.

Good food, friendly service. The owner/​manager and server were very pleasant.
The food came out a little slow, it seemed to be a very busy time when we were there. The portions were bigger than we had expected. The sandwiches were large and they all came with a large bowl of side salad so it was really a lot of food.
A sandwich plus dessert comes out to be about $ 20 per person. That’s a bit on the pricey side for suburban queens and more like the price range for the city, but the food was good enough to justify repeated visits.
