I love going to Pat’s Emerald Bar. Larry the owner is great, he’ll always join you for a drink, and Tommy, his son, is just as good. The place isn’t around other bars, but it is worth it just to go here for a comfortable few drinks.

So you’ve been hanging out at bars in Manhattan or Brooklyn, which means you’ve been competing with European tourists for the attention of bartenders who moved here from the Midwest a year or so ago after finishing their Liberal Arts degree.
Maybe it’s time to check out The Emerald Pub instead.
This is a dive bar in the best possible way.

BAYSIDE HILLS, NY

cheapest way to get drunk! This bar has gotten a lot better over the years, it’s more of a community bar, many regulars stay loyal to it because of the wonderful staff and prices. You get a buy back after three drinks, and they have discounts on beer pitchers with beer pong and $ 1 pool tables. Great spot to hang out with the lovely bartenders, relax and meet locals. I’ve become a regular since the drinks are always great and a game of pool is only a dollar a game.

Use to come here because we had a great friend that worked here.
Been back only a few times since she quit.
The staff was always friendly here. Parking was never an issue, but be aware of the drug addicts. Also cops are known to frequent this place because of did activity in the neighborhood.

One Star because my friend works here some nights.
One Star because the liquor is «good» (meaning they dont water it down or use cheap brands in more expensive bottles)
but I would never go here again, unless I take up a meth habit one day.
