Stopped by today looking forward to try the food. Unfortunately, even though the restaurant was open there was no employees in sight. I waited 5 min inside and empty restaurant and than left.

The owner was very friendly. Service was fast. I ordered the chicken kabob. It was good but expensive for only one kabob of chicken salad and rice. If there were 2 kabobs it would be better. Hummus was good. I didn’t care for the rice pilaf. It was plain and parts were crunchy. I would give this place a try again because of the friendly service.

Amirs Shish Kebob is Located in the Pavillions shopping center, it seems like you have landed in NYC. Beautifully decorated shopping center, clean and safe. In a corner is the very well decorated Amirs Kebob. He serves the food Persian style. He is a musician and the rock band instruments and drums can be seen from the entrance, made me think I came to a music shop. The food was well flavored and tasty. The price was awesome at $ 8.00 it included salad, bread, rice and vegetables with the meat of your choice. They have a outdoor section too, this is a must visit place due to the generous pricing. I also got complimentary soup and tea. Parking is plenty and will return soon.

I have eaten at this restaurant since they opened. It is delicious, and Amir and his family are amazing. They make great food, treat you like family, and tonight I saw them cater an event for the first time. ITWASBEAUTIFUL! See you next time everyone!

The rice pilaf and salad were good but 1 tiny stick of protein is not enough. Price while not bad should include 2 kebobs. It seems like the one can’t be more than 1⁄8th of a lb.

If you don’t mind small portion of protein in your meal and more carbs, you would probably like this place, because the flavors of the food is good, but the stinginess of the meat is daunting. Also this place doesn’t serve the famous Mediterranean garlic sauce, therefore if your looking for that this is not the place for you either. Their prices is fair and affordable, with plates and meals under $ 10, and you will get plenty of food– salad, vegetable and rice, but very stingy portion of protein. The interior is pretty nice and cute, plus their outdoor seating is complimented with a lovely french style garden, I can’t say much about service because I did takeout, yet the owner was pretty nice when I got my to-go. The chicken kabab plate $ 8.99 was served with one skinny stick of chicken kebab, a generous portion of rice pilaf, side salad, and grilled assorted vegetable. The positive– the rice was fluffy and buttery, very sinful but good, while the grilled vegetable was perfectly cooked and gives that delicious bbq flavor to the rice plate. However the chicken kebab was dry and stingy in portion –it was less than ½ chicken breast, there was hardly much meat for me to savor, furthermore the taste of the chicken was lacking flavor, I tasted basically grilled chicken with no marinade. The salad was nice, but there was no dressing. They also gave a mayo sort of dip, but it tasted all mayo, and no flavor. I wish they had the garlic sauce instead. The beef gyro $ 8.99 comes with rice and salad, was good but it did not have an everlasting impression, it was just above average at best. The meat again was stingy– I hardly got to enjoy it, I just wished it had more meat, because all I tasted was vegetables and the pita bread. The overall flavor was not special, maybe because there was no special sauce to go with it. I did however enjoy the sandwich because it tasted good, I just wished it would have made me remember them for something. Overall, I maybe would be back to try again, but in my opinion this place is just A-Ok because the flavor was nothing special and meat was very stingy.

I went there today between lunch and dinner to see if they did take out. Not only did Amir’ make a wonderful meal for my family but he served me a great bowl of soup and a glass of wine while I waited. PLUS the food is to die for. YUM!!!

Very greasy and pain tasting for such heavy seasoned food. Lamb kebabs were over done, slightly burned and chewy Wouldn’t eat there again

Nice place and setting, inside and out… The food… it depends how well you really know your Mediterranean Cuisine — some dishes are very good and some are not worth returning for. The meatball soup was fresh and very tasty home-like recipe, A+++ for the soup. The tabouli and hummus were excellent, also A+++. But the Chicken Kebob was disappointing… obviously cooked in a rush(…even though it was 2:30PM and the place was almost empty, so no reason to rush!..) The«Turkish coffee», although it looked good served in a turkish coffee pot, was a big disappointment. The taste was just really awful(no exaggeration) — wrong or unfresh coffee bean. wrong grind… poorly cooked… If this is your first Turkish Coffee, you’ll never want to taste it again. Lesson: in a Persian restaurant drink tea! Final verdict: Nothing to brag about.

We love this place! Consistently good… good food, good service, good location. It’s nice to sit outside(weather permitting). We love the hummus, pitas, garlic chicken… everything we’ve tried has been excellent. The owner works hard and it shows. Highly recommend it!

Pretty good food but small portions for the price… When the baklava is fresh its the best!

I decided on this restaurant based on it’s Unilocal rating, so after my bad experience I felt compelled to share. The restaurant was empty, and I had to go find a waiter to get a refill on my tea. I ordered from a picture on the menu, and when I received a plate that didn’t look like what I ordered the waiter just shrugged. We went to this restaurant at 1pm on a weekday and the food wasn’t even hot, it was barely warm. I asked for garlic sauce and was told they didn’t have any. Overall bad experience, I won’t go back and will warn others away.

This place was surprisingly dead on a Saturday night, but on a corner with so much competetion, they can’t quite be blamed. What was excellent here was the hummus and the kebabs. I had the shish kebab and my husband had the Lula kebab. They were incredible, so flavorful. Even moreso, they came in the biggest size for the cheapest price I saw in town, less than $ 10. And everything came with these little plastic containers of garlic butter kind of stuff that was delicious smeared on everything. However, there were two things that caused me to give them just four stars. For one, the rice pilaf was lacking in flavor. The second was that the man working(possibly the owner?) seemed pretty grumpy. However, if you want quick service and really good meat(and hummus), this is the place to be!

Wonderful, very authentic Persian food. I highly recommend the Lula kabob or Amir’s special. These meals include deliciously tender meat full of flavor, with just the right amount of seasoning, as well as fluffy basmati long-grained rice topped off with saffron. Yum! Don’t forget to end your meal with Persian tea and pastries/desserts. This tea after your meal honestly always hits the spot and makes the whole experience complete. I know they serve baklava here and my suggestion would be for them to offer Persian ice cream(not sure if they feature this or not?) But anyhow, this restaurant is certainly deserving of 5 shiny stars. Go Amir!

Excellent service and even better food! The owner always makes sure we have our drinks refilled and the pita basket full. You MUST get the hummus. I’ve only had the kabobs and gyros but both were amazing. It comes with a really good side salad and rice pilaf! The atmosphere is nice and private. Definitely check it out!

Me and my husband were looking for place to eat, were in this area. Saw sign outside that there was a chicken rice bowl. We both ordered the chicken rice bowl which had pilaf, chicken and vegetables. It was DELICIOUS! Very very DELICIOUS! The owner was also person who took our order and served our food. He was very friendly. Our drinks stayed filled. I wish this restaurant was in Clovis(where we live) but worth traveling few miles to. Highly recommend!!!

The location is cute, and the service was very nice. My boyfriend and I stopped in here between jobs and were starving! He had a beef gyro and I had the shish. The meats were a bit dry, but had good flavor!

Been here twice. Both times with a certificate from . Food is okay. Really like the garlic sauce… which actually looks/tastes like nothing more than flavored mayonnaise. Ordered the combo plate during my most recent visit. I found the steak to be overcooked and tough. My biggest complaint was the issue I had with my dining certificate. Usually, I would have argued my case… but I could just tell the owner/server(Amir) was the defensive type of person who would not accommodate his customers when it came to these matters… so I didn’t even bother pressing the issue after questioning it. Besides, he was too busy making excuses about how he was not to blame and how the issue was the fault of the provider( ). He advised me to take it up with them instead. No «customer is always right» policy followed here… which unfortunately, has typically been my experience when dealing with foreign businesses. Very unprofessional in my opinion. As a result, my bill was twice as high as I anticipated and I left very unhappy and broke. Will definitely be contacting … who, by the time I’m done explaining the situation, will undoubtedly issue me a credit. Because of this unresolved issue, Amir lost a customer for life! :/
