This was my first time coming here. It was nice to see that they cook the food after you order right in front of you. I ordered 2 Family Dinner A’s to eat on for a few days. This meal could have fed 3 – 4 people! As soon as I got the food in my car I was blown away by the smell. It was some of the freshest Chinese Food I have smelled. When I finally got home to eat it, I was pleasantly surprised. The food was good as well. Not the best I have had. especially the Almond Chicken and I didnt care too much for the BBQ pork. The pork fried rice was ok as well. I got sick before I could finish my meal… something that happens at most Chinese restaurants… but this happened faster. I may go back.

Always good food and quick service. I love the yang chow rice. Correct no fountain drinks or restroom access but this is because it is a take out type restaurant.

My favorite Chinese take out in town by far. Have never had a bad meal here. Obsessed with the sweet and sour chicken, as it is always golden crispy but not over cooked. Another favorite is the spicy garlic chicken and spicy Mongolian beef. The beef is so tender it melts in your mouth. Small place, but very clean and always smells amazing. Owners are always friendly. Generous portions and great prices. If you’re looking for good take out you have to try this place. I always treat myself once or twice a month :)

This restaurant is HORRIBLE!!! This review agrees with every other one on Unilocal that thinks this restaurant’s take out sucks. The service was fast but the food is not worth the $ 7.50 something I paid for it. I got Hot and Spicy Bean Curd and the sauce was tasteless with soggy, soft tofu floating in tasteless sauce with a pieces of jalapeño scattered over it as if to make up for the lack of flavor and the rice was not good quality. Supremely disappointed. One of the worst Chinese places in Fresno.

The only reason for this 2 star review was because it was Chinese food as they claimed and the Cashier was nice. But the food fell way short of what the average reviews stated. I ordered shrimp and broccoli over half pan fried noodles/​steamed rice. And it was bland… real bland… to the point where there was no pride in the food he was cooking. Even the most jam packed restaurant makes fresh pan fried noodles! I also ordered fried shrimp. The oil was way too cold. The shrimp just soaked up the oil. Not good. I should’ve known better than too go to a place that’s dead.
In short save your pallet go to imperial garden. Yea service sux but the food is great!

I’ve ordered their sweet and sour pork without fail for the past seven years and I’ll keep ordering it for the next seven years. It’s not all sodium-​y and rolling in calories like Panda Express is. And their fried rice never fails to satisfy.

This is the real deal. You can ignore the other reviews that prefer Panda Express. John has been cooking genuine Chinese cuisine for 40+ years. The large Asian clientele speaks volumes about the quality and authenticity of the food at Bamboo Garden. Don’t miss the Chow Fun. I always ask which seasonally available veggies are available. Long beans, choy sum, kai pan, etc. Then have John prepare them to your liking
If you prefer Chop Suey, Fried Rice and Sweet and Sour… it’s great too.

Never going back, very deceitful menus, the servings for «family style» take outs are for people who dont know any better and not your typical california family. People opt for chinese food for vVALUE and taste neither of which I found BG below the bench mark… bland; I’m no Martin Yen, But I also know great tasting Chinese food when I eat some… I shouldve went to Panda express, never again…

This is probably the best Chinese take out in this part of town — service is great and it’s a good value. A lot of the customers have been coming here for years.
They are great to take requests for people with special dietary preferences/​needs.
I like the food a lot, although it’s not my absolute favorite in town [hence the three star rating]. But my absolute favorites in town are a good drive away from where I live, and when I don’t feel like driving that far, this is where I go.

From the moment you enter Bamboo Garden, you are greeted with Herman who kindly takes your order. The food is prepared in front of you, as you wait for take out, or you can choose to dine in, but seating is very limited. All in all, the food is good and the prices are even better.

We tried this place because it was close to where we live and had pretty great reviews. While it IS very clean, the food was a bit «meh». I got the shrimp chop suey chow mein and spicy garlic shrimp. Both dishes were kinda sweet, in an off putting kind of way. Other than the strange sweetness the flavors were too subtle. I never have had to add soy sauce to my chinese food and I did with THIS meal. Went 3 days ago and leftovers are STILL in the fridge. That is NEVER the case when we drive across town to Imperial Gardens… Just saying…

This is one of my favorite spots to eat. The food is excellent as well as the service. I live out of town, but come here EVERYTIME I come home. It is a take out place, but they do have a few tables if u want to eat there. If they had 10 stars, they would get it!

This is a typical good take out place. The thing I love is that it is super clean and the service is wonderful. I watched them receieve and cut down their meat order and it was of great quality.
