I loved this place. I came in for my fist time and the food was great. Only thing is the bathroom has no baby changing table. And it smells a bit weird. But I will be back!

I have eaten here for the last 5 years or so. I have also had birthday parties here. We have NEVER had a problem with the food here, it is always refreshed, and delicious. The frog lags are damn good, as well.
Though the staff has a problem with English, SO WHAT??? You are not eating with THEM.
Moral of the story? Try this place, and see for yourself.

Worse place ever!!! dirty, hot, shit food, unsanitary! The bathrooms are disgusting you’ll probley catch an STD. There’s more hair in the food than on your head, Just don’t even bother with this place.

Came here to enjoy time with my family. As we enjoy our first plate.(the food was old and salty) The staff walk by and watch us… eat pointing at us. There wasn’t that much food left and it wasn’t being refilled. The food looked like it’s been sitting there for awhile. It was salty and a bit cold. Even some were a bit soggy. When the food finally got refilled. My sister got up to get a plate for my dad and when she handed the plate to my dad. The lady in the front comes up to us and points to the plate saying we can’t eat that since it’s part of dinner. Startling my dad. He pushes the plate a Way and refuses to eat ruining our time. My sister tells them to take it away and the lady who told us we can’t eat just looks at us with a dirty look and walks away. If I can give this a 0. I would. Never will we ever come back. Don’t waste ur time on this place. There service and food sucks. There are other better and tastier Chinese buffets in Fresno worth ur money and time. Dont waste ur time and money on his place. Btw. We weren’t even there for 40 minutes.

First time here.
Has typical Chinese dishes, rangoons, fried rice, lo mein, etc.
Food is pretty decent, selection is pretty varied.
Service is a bit difficult since the servers speak mainly Chinese. The restroom is atrocious to say the least, graffiti all over the wall, mirrors, urinals that leak, unflushed stalls.

In town for family visits and the holidays. We usually get together here once per year. When I am craving Chinese food, this hits the spot. Always seems to be clean, and the hot food is always hot, and the cold food (salad, sushi, fruit etc) is always cold. My favorite things here are the spicy chicken (not really spicy, more peppery) the crab rangoons, and salt and pepper shrimp. I eat some of the sushi, but only the non raw stuff. The service is always swift, never have to wait on a refill. They are always friendly with my family. I’m telling you smiles, and sugar gets you further in life. They have a nice little Koi pond in the front and a kitchy fake «lucky tree» in an area of the dining room. Carpet could use replacing, but who looks at the ground anyway?
It hits the spot, inexpensive and you get your money’s worth. Once a year is enough for me, and I enjoy it when I’m here. Attire is obviously casual, since I’ve seen more people in «jammies» than real clothes here. C’mon Fresno!!!
P. S.–they added TV’s since I was there last. Nice to have in case the family gets a bit annoying XD

I enjoyed this buffet in 2003… i would come here at least once a month… i even had my kid’s birthday party here (2006)…food was great and the staff was friendly… Then i reunited myself again with Tang Dynasty in 2012… brought my family along on easter day… and i was sooo excited to eat their food again… until i brought my plate back to our table and took a few bites. Smh. I couldn’t believe what i just had. I thought to myself, «what happened to the flavor? Why do some of these dishes taste over cooked and plain?» I was pretty sad. Not only was the food a thumbs down so was the staff. They weren’t friendly… they treated us like they wished we were out the door. when all we wanted was refills. Since then, i have not returned. I’ve been dining elsewhere. Hopefully they get the flavors back into their food and have a much friendlier attitude towards the customers. And I hope to hear around that its back to the way they were… so I can make it one of my favorite buffet spots.

It’s Tang DyNASTY

This is honestly the worst restaurant I have ever been to. I should have read the health inspection reports before going there. All the food was terrible. The seafood was rubbery, and the stir fry station used incredibly old noodles, so the end product tasted like something resembling cement. I went home that night and actually got sick. I had to taste that awful food again. Do not go here, unless you like foodbourn illness.

One of the workers embarrassed my guest by telling us some items are more expensive.

This is a CHINESE BUFFET. It’s not perfect and what else would you expect from a buffet. Yeah some of the food is a bit greasy, so of course I wouldn’t eat this too often. I do like the food here. I usually have a spring roll, cream cheese rangoon, steamed rice, broccoli and mushrooms. The fruit they have is pretty good and sometimes extra dessert. Every time I’ve been here the waiters are friendly. Also my parents like it so thats a plus. :)

Do NOT eat here and waste money! Food was super old and stale. They seriously do not care about their food. I’m sure it’s been sitting there for at least almost the whole day. If people don’t touch a certain item, the cooks will leave it on the steam table until the food goes down so they don’t have to waste. Very nasty. Invest your 13 bucks into something better.

If I Could Rate This 0 Star I Would. The Food Was Old & Crusty. Nothing Was Good. They Didn’t Replace Any Food. They Had Oysters But Didn’t Have A Chance To Eat It Because There Were 4 Left & It Was Dried & Shriveled Up. They Never Replaced It. Snow Crab Was Old & Watery! I Heard That This Place Was Good. But I’m Really Disappointed. Had It On My Way Home. I Should Have Went Somewhere Else. Food Was Just DISGUSTING! Wasted 13 Bucks. If I Was An Asshole I Would Have Complained & Left. But The Waiter I Had Was Really Good. Other Wise Everything Sucked. Even The Cashiers Sucked! NEVER EVER GOING THERE AGAIN! Don’t Go There It’s Not Worth Your Money Unless You Want To Eat Old Crusty Food.

First I’ll start off by saying that the food was great. Old food was replaced with a fresh batch every fifteen to twenty minutes or so. Food was fine.
The let down of Tangs Dynasty is the customer service. All the waiters were some nice Asian guys in their early teens. The PROBLEM was that once they greeted me at my table I never saw them again unless you flag one of them down (they don’t check up on you, I’ll explain below), which is hard to do considering they’re not around most of the time. Drinks have to be refilled by a waiter so I literally just waited 20 minutes before someone came by and finally filled my drink.
An interesting scenario that happened while we were there was the lady that runs the front desk was seating some guests and she yelled at one of the young waiters to clean a table for the guests while the guests were standing right there. Viewing from afar, some waiters were very efficient and some were very sluggish and never asked or check up on how you were doing. Usually when you finish your food at the buffet you leave your dishes on the table and someone picks it up. Our dishes were still on the table when we went for round 2… and was still there for round 3… until the front desk lady saw our table and yelled at one of the waiters to come and clean our table.

Yeah my Soldiers wanted to come eat at an AYCE place and this was recommended. It’s true, the food here isn’t that great. I definitely wouldn’t come back. Service wasn’t great either. I tried almost everything on those buffet tables too.

This place should be called tang nasty! Some mother’s day… service was rude! Then while serving myself food my sister and I witnessed a server drop some snow crab legs on the floor then picked them up and threw them back on the serving station. Yuckkkk! We complained to manager and all he said was «ok!» All rude. They didn’t even remove the crab from the buffet bar. I will never again eat there! Appetite killed wish I could rate a –10 on sanitation and cleanliness.

The shrimp is off the lunch menu for the Mongolian BBQ… it appears permanently. But there are a few new buffet options, and I’m still a fan. Recommended for a great cheap lunch option with lots of healthy choices.

We came here for a large birthday party on a Saturday. I checked the Unilocal reviews right before arrival and was expecting the worse! Got here right after they opened and I must say that the food looked delicious at first glance. Everything looked fresh and neatly laid out. My first couple of rounds of food was very good. The Mongolian BBQ took forever to cook but the meat turned out really flavorful. The string beans, seaweed salad, squid, clams and fish were all relatively fresh and tasted pretty good. Unfortunately, this party lasted FOUR hours and I noticed something peculiar. As the day progressed, the food got steadily worse. This is not a case of the food tasting bad because I was full. I paced myself pretty well and can still appreciate good food on a full stomach. I also have a habit of stalking the buffet and swooping in right after a new/​fresh batch of food is delivered. Food that was just brought out of the kitchen was not as fresh and tasty as the items that were there when I first arrived! I almost gave this place a 2 star due to the inconsistency but decided a 3 start was more representative of the overall visit.
Also, I wanted to note that they included a 10% gratuity in the check. Usually for a large party like ours (around 25 peeps) the included gratuity runs around 15−20% so the 10% was pretty reasonable.

Worst place ever went out to eat 3:25 and paid for lunch, then 5 mins later when I went to get another plate I was told I couldn’t that I would have to pay extra money ! They could of said that from the beginning to wait 5 mins so I wouldn’t be double charged. The food wasn’t all that great ! Stay away.

Honestly the worst buffet I’ve ever been to, the food was disgusting. Every entrée was horrid and had no flavor. The only thing that was good was the ice cream, obviously because they do not make it them selves. Save your money and go somewhere else. If I could give zero stars I would. Ewwww eeww ewww!!!
