It’s a good place to have breakfast that is never over crowded and the selections are good. Good dinner food with a twist.

I had there chorizo omelette and it was so satisying. They are really sweet people who work here too!:)

Stopped off here while visiting Fresno last weekend. Me and my daughter got 2 cheeseburger combinations. The food was so good, and I was hungry! The waitress was really nice too. I loved the 50’s theme, and the menus with the fun facts and trivia was cool.

Second time here and it’s not bad, but not good. I was really looking forward to diner style friendly service and delicious food. THIS IS NOT THAT! Service is terrible, and the food is mediocre at best. My raw steak was sent back, and came back sitting in the blood that seeped from it the first time I had cut into it. My also raw fried potatoes (now cold from waiting for my steak to cook longer) were also in a pool of this blood. FOR ME THIS IS A NO GO. I didn’t eat any of it, but still the place isn’t bad. Maybe because this style diner just hardly exists anymore :/

This place has great food. I usually go in on Sunday’s to get a breakfast burrito. The employees are nice and the service is fast. Good job!

Always enjoy eating here! Friendly staff and good food! Ate here several times and no problems! Love their burgers, fries, milk shakes, and their hot turkey sandwiches.

I have been coming here since as long as I can remember, I am now 20 years old and I can say the older I get the more I can appreciate Chubby’s Diner. The ambience of this diner is that of a 50’s diner with memorabilia casually scattered amongst the walls. The staff here is excellent and very friendly, creating an very inviting, family friendly environment. They refill coffee and waters before you get the chance to request it. The food is cooked not too from you and the food is full of flavor– they have most if not all American dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner!

Terrible service by uncaring ignorant staff. I simply ordered a regular 2 egg breakfast. I waited about 15 mins for my order. The order came without the toast. I continue waiting for the toast. Another 10 mins pass before the waitress brings the toast. Of course by then the food was cold. I asked why the toast took so long. She said because she got busy. I left. I WASTED my lunch hour there. She should have just told me the truth that she had forgotten. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. 50’s style, crappy service.

I live around the corner from chubby, my little family and I walk there time to time. I absolutely love this place.

If I could give zero stars I would. This place has horrible customer service I will never go back there again and I will not recommend this place to anyone.

Not sure why my last review showed four stars but they’ve become a five star experience for us.

This place is fantastic! Family owned. I have tried everything on their menu. Which is a large menu. They also let you customize every plate! Breakfast is served all day! 50s Diner atmosphere. Call in orders to go. All around great place to eat! Glad it’s 2 minutes away from home.

Two and-​a-​half stars, but I don’t want to round up. It’s …OK.
The inside is ‘50s diner, with soft rock-​and-​roll music, checkered floor, lots of booths, and Elvis memorabilia.
Very few people inside; we walk straight to a corner booth and plop down. Ten minutes later, we get menus. And though we had picked out our orders pretty quickly, it took her longer to bring by (huge) waters and get our orders. Everything was a long wait.
Food was OK. I got a turkey bacon club. The bacon was chewy, like it wasn’t fully cooked and was still full of grease. Turkey was luncheon meat. LOTS of pickle slices were put on the plate, which I gladly ate. Lettuce was crunchy and fresh. Mom got the French dip sandwich; she said the meat didn’t have gristle and the juice was good, but the bread was dry and it was OK. All in all, OK.

I come here for lunch often. Comfortable atmosphere, great food, and nice customer service. They have a large selection of items from breakfast to pasta. Cheap prices too

What’s not to love? Yummy burgers and cherry coke… huge cups of cherry coke! Great onion rings too. Service is always fast and friendly.

Yum! This place never disappoints! Huge menu. The best home made rolls. I have tried everything from their burgers, pastrami melt, breakfast items to country fried steAk dinner. Everything is always fresh and served with a friendly smile. Love this place!

I’ve been here quite a few times but haven’t had a chance to fully explore the menu because I found their awesome Huevos Rancheros and can’t seem to get away from it! The burgers are also quite good… definitely diner style burgers that I’d say are a step above your typical burger at Denny’s.
Overall the staff hustle to make sure you get your order promptly, but that doesn’t stop them from being friendly! Sitting here presently with a full restaurant, and not a single customer has an empty drink. That’s good service. Chubby’s is always a great experience!

Tried the Rock n’ Roller burger there for lunch and it was good. I had no idea what the place was like until just recently and I’ll probably go back again.

I specifically joined Unilocal to review this place after reading the two negative reviews here.
We have been regular customers at this restaurant for at least 7 years and hit it at least once a week.
It’s a family owned and operated business that has been successful for many years, this doesn’t happen in the restaurant business if the place is «shitty».
It’s basically a neighborhood diner in a strip mall, not «fine dining» or some kind of LA fantasy diner.
Good honest unpretentious food at fair prices with excellent service. Special requests like extra crispy bacon or hashbrowns or no salt on the fries have never been a problem. We’ve never had anything approaching a bad experience there with the food or service-​quite the opposite. Especially appreciate being able to order breakfast any time they’re open.
We live in the neighborhood and see many of the same customers there on a regular basis, so I guess a couple of bad reviews from out of towners won’t hurt them much but I just wanted to set the record straight.
Neither of us work there or have any vested interest in the place.
