Sadly, Swiggs closed after 5 years… it’s like this location is cursed — nothing lasts long there. The best ever was in the 1980s — John Pardini’s Greenhouse Restaurant. Sunday brunch out of the patio was the best!

as of now this place is no longer in business, and i can see why they say they closed due to the minimum wage going up. but i think its because the food sucks and the staff sucked as well could have been because it was the last week theyre going to be open but the burger i had was okay. it gave me the shits almost instantly the fries were separate so it just all together had to pay for each and every item. wasnt a fan, and not upset they closed. even if they were to stay open i would never go back.

We celebrated my daughters birthday last night and had a great time. Our waitress was very nice as was the staff. We really enjoyed the WINGS and of course our drinks. The guys had a blast playing pool even if some of them are sore losers. It was overall a great night thx again Swiggs

This is a sports bar, that servers and array of classic american bar food, its pretty decent for a place that charges $ 10 and below per person, and as a sports bar they have a huge selection of beers on taps and bottles plus spirit drinks to choose from. Its within walking distance to Fresno State student housing and dorms, so expect it to be a hub for students during evenings, meaning it will be crowded and loud, but for lunch they are pretty quiet and peaceful. The ordering style is at the counter but also they offer table service. parking is not an issue, since they have plenty of parking located behind their building and of course its free. I must say they serve above average american style burgers– that isn’t fast food quality, with really affordable pricing: $ 6 to $ 9 without fries, its not expensive in comparison to their other burger competition. Perfect for both dine in and takeout. The size of their burgers is pretty big, I was full with one burger without fries for at least 3 hours. Their meat quality was on the fatty side, so maybe not the leanest quality meat, but it wasn’t bad or anything, it tasted great, was just the 70% lean 30% fat kind, maybe a hell hole for people looking for lean burgers. I tried the classic burger for $ 5.49, it was really decent for the price, the meat was juicy and perfectly seasoned, despite the meat being fatty; the burger here is stuffed with caramelized onion, it had such good flavor and sweetness. The fresh sliced onion and salad greens uplifted the taste of the burger, giving it a little zing, freshness and giving the burger color. The buns were simply delicious, they used Max’s Artisan Bakery’s Sweet Hawaiian Kaiser Roll and it was nice and soft, yet very fluffy and firm, with a golden outer layer, the buttery flavor of the roll was just a perfect complement to the burger. I also tried the Roasted Garlic Burger for $ 6.99, descriptively it tasted like the american classic, but the flamingo garlic sauce that was topped on this burger gave it a special character, the sauce was very creamy yet light, and had a delightful taste from the garlic, almost like a garlic aioli, simply gastronomic. I would definitely return for more of their burgers, despite it being not the best burger in Fresno, it is still one of the tastiest I’ve had.

I came here with some co-workers for lunch, and it was fantastic! I was a little dubious when I saw that we were the only non-employees in the restaurant, but my experience was excellent! The waitress was knowledgeable and funny, making our experience at Swigg’s light and fun. I ordered the roasted garlic burger with fries, and I can’t imagine anything else on the menu being better than this burger! It was loaded with juicy flavor, and even though my stomach said no, I ate the whole damn thing. I think I’m dying now, but that could just be the seasoned fries talking. What I’m trying to say is this: if you are in the fresno area, try Swigg’s or forever regret your useless existence.

I was introduced to Swiggs by a few friends a few years back. Not really a drinker but the food here is absolutely amazing! Love the student discount rates as well which is awesome($ 5 for a pound of wings or $ 6 burger & fries). I recommend the Flamingo wings to almost everyone! It’s a must every time I go! The burgers are amazing as well, made with Max’s bread which makes every bite just savory. Overall, I go whenever I crave their burgers and wings. It’s totally addicting! The place might not look inviting but seriously, go inside and try the food. You won’t be disappointed!

I would never recommend this place to anyone. The tattoo policy is very discriminate and very offensive. «No neck or face tattoos» I mean come on not all people are douche bags because we choose to put pieces of art on our«neck and face». That doesn’t make us criminals. we are innovators and this is 2015 get a clue. Swiggs sucks ass!#fresno *you don’t even deserve a star*

Ah, Swiggs. It’s such a perfect bar for college students(a demographic I no longer belong to *tear*), but my friends and I still have fun whenever we decide to stop by. It’s probably because their drinks are really good and really strong. The atmosphere: it’s crowded, people standing and dancing everywhere, don’t go if you want a quiet night or personal space. The music has always been really good and fun to dance to. It’s cool that they have pool tables, too, but good luck getting one on a busy night. I recommend the cranberry vodkas, and I also tried their«porn star» for the first time, which was delicious! And very bad, because it has vodka and red bull. But I recommend it for anyone interested — it was like a soda! I haven’t tried their food and don’t have any plans to, but other people seem to like it.

Overcrowded– too much noise– bathrooms unclean– a lot of staring & drunk people– no room for a place to sit or even stand at a Saturday night– the outside area is a great place to get some fresh air–

Wings are bomb, food is real deal. Note to owner/management. If your employees are taking phone orders it’s common sense to find a quiet place to take the order rather that saying huh 50 times and asking the person to speak louder. Or… Just start and efficient online order section.

This place has potential. I arrived with my mapping comrades on a Thursday evening. We all were carded and received a hand stamp. Except for a group of 3 playing giant Jenga and a couple eating in the dining area, the place was deserted. We had a pretty large group so we took over one of the large tables right in the middle of the front area. It was really nice to all be able to sit around one table. There are side areas that are more private, so I could see this place being good for every group — big or small. They have an extensive variety of beers on tap, featuring Firestone & Tioga Sequoia. At times it was difficult to find our server. Considering the place was nearly empty and we were such a large group, not being able to find someone to help us was disappointing. When a server did surface, she was always polite and efficient. There are a couple of pool tables and a small collection of video games. Right when you walk in there is an open area, which I later found out was the dance floor. I can’t speak for the food, as we had just finished dinner but the beer was cold. At 9:00 pm a DJ came in and set up. When he started playing the music, it was so loud it made it difficult to carry on any kind of a conversation. I woke up the next morning with a sore throat from trying to scream conversations over the music. It was kind of strange because we were pretty much the only people in the place. At one point my buddy looked at me and started snapping his fingers, which was my queue to head to the dance floor. If you can’t beat the music, join it. We grabbed a couple of other friends and pulled them onto the dance floor with us. I must say, it was pretty special to be surrounded by fellow mappers as we all threw our hands up and jumped around to «Maps» by Maroon 5. The DJ had a pretty good mix of tunes, he even got some of us out there line dancing for a bit.

Went here last Thursday for some drinks and just to check out the place. It was DEAD. I think my friends and I counted 20 people tops, and this is a night that they advertise being busy because of the karaōke. We went for drinks and appetizers, and the main reason for branching out and trying this place is because their happy hour lasted until 8. Our server got us a few drinks on before that ended. We ordered the Tequila Sunrise(per the server’s suggestion) and it was way too sweet. It was a feat to drink the whole thing. Then we ordered a pitcher of margaritas. Now, there isn’t too much you can do to mess up tequila and margariata mix, but for some reason Swiggs managed to do just that. It was a horrible tasting pitcher and all of us agreed that the happy hour prices were not worth the drinks. The saving grace I have for this place is the food. I just got their fried cheese sticks and my friend got a burger. They were both cooked WONDERFULLY. Everything was hot, seemed fresh, and was seasoned correctly. Our waitress was cool and attentive, and she was very nice. If this place were busier, I could see it being fun. For now, I’ll have to come back another time and see what all the hype is about.
