Good bar. The female bartenders are amazing. There is one bartedner who was particularly RUDE. I am openly gay and he made me feel terrible. His hygiene was disgusting. He literally dumped his hands into the cherry jar and put the cherries into my drink. DISGUSTING. He goes by Scott and has a bald head. I even gave him tips. I have never felt so discriminated against IN MY LIFE. He wasn’t open for discussion about learning how to make mixed drinks. He would slam bottles against the bar as he was making drinks. He obviously has a temper. He needs to smoke more marijuana to calm his nerves; since he smokes so much outside Ewells Place!

I stopped in one day to check it out and it has become my favorite place. The people that drop in are friendly. I’ve met some interesting people there. Even the bikers that drop in are interesting. The bartenders there are pleasant and easy going. Alot can be said about Teri. She knows how to make her drinks! Try the Washington Apple… My favorite… and if you’re ready for a good pool game Teri’s the one to challenge! I learned my lesson!

Had a great time here. Don’t expect too much in the way of the drinks but the people here are warm and welcoming. Terry was bartending and she played a few rounds of pool with us. Watch out for her, she’s pretty good. Really laid back dive bar. I dug the stone work behind the bar.

The old timers still refer to this place as the Dakota Club— This place is on the secret menu of dive bars, sorta like animal style burgers at In N Out! Anyway– it’s a typical locals bar, I’ve only been in there a couple of times on the weekend during the day. Nothing on tap. The drink special on the chalk board says «Liquid crackpipes– only $ 3.50» — classic! Animated conversation with the ample chested bartender by her regulars. It’s kinda sketchy outside, but friendly inside…

My favorite local dive. Yeah in a sketchy area and yeah some sketchy folks from time to time. But mostly good people and friendly regulars and bartenders.
