Well it’s the only choice you have inside the terminal. The staff was definitely a plus. Very attentive. Spicy Bloody Mary was point on. Their house vodka is Smirnoff which isn’t too bad in the vodka world. But I expect a nicer vodka for the $ 12 price. Still it was very good(ummm I had two). The French toast was just fair. Nothing to brag about. For my friends, yes, I had French toast and a Bloody Mary at 9:30am. It’s 11:30am in Texas… and I’m sure it’s five o’clock somewhere. It was about $ 11. My only complaint was a pesty gnat buzzing around. They did run a person off who just wanted to watch the tv. I see both sides. They need the bar stools for paying customers. I love coming to the west coast. 6am feels like sleeping in!

I got Fresno international airport at 5:00 pm Saturday afternoon. It was 104 degree outside. I was looking for a bar in the terminal and John Muir Tavern was only one open. I finally got a glass of Sherman IPA and it was pretty good. By the way, it was $ 10.25.

If you are stuck at the Fresno airport and are about to die of hunger… get a snickers and save yourself a huge cost and the misery of eating their mediocre food. Had the nachos. which were said to be homemade. The closest thing to homemade was the can opener they used to open the can of beans. Sad really…

Don’t try showing up early on a Monday morning. Supposed to open at 5:00 no one here. Hard weekend I guess. Either that or it’s a different time zone. BTW — the food is sustenance only, nothing remarkably good about it.

I don’t have very high expectations for airport food. It’s usually a bit overpriced(because just like movie theaters and stadiums, they can do whatever they want) but one hopes that the food is at least edible and reasonably quick. I had possibly the worst airport food I’ve ever had at J. Muir. I arrived at the airport about two hours before my flight and decided to get a filling lunch since I had a little extra time. Once I found an open table, it took quite a while before I was even acknowledged, but I was finally able to order a water and a strawberry lemonade cocktail. I waited… and waited… and waited some more… and still nothing. It was twenty minutes before I even got my water. The cocktail was okay, although it didn’t taste like it contained anything alcoholic — was mostly like standard strawberry lemonade mix with a little club soda. There were no drink prices on the drink menu, but I figured it couldn’t be that bad.(More on that later…) For my entrée I ordered the shrimp tacos, and based on the description they sounded like they would be pretty good. After another extensive wait, they finally arrived… Not as shrimp tacos, but as two lettuce tacos with a shrimp garnish. For $ 15. There was no cilantro as mentioned in the description; simply tons of lettuce and unevenly chopped red onions, which I’d occasionally get a huge chunk of when I took a bite. The shrimp themselves, as few as they were, were bland and tasteless. The entire meal was highly disappointing, and when the check came it ended up being over $ 30. For a really bad, slow, airport lunch. I’d rather have some $ 4 Bugles on the airplane then try any of their horrible food ever again. It’s clear that they don’t care about what they’re serving at all, and I don’t even want to imagine how much worse it could get.

Ehhh… that’s about what you get here. The«fresh fruit» is processed Sysco and looked old. Fruit constituted cantaloupe and some pineapple. The service was good, but, if your looking at something better than a typical airport restaurant… this isn’t the place!

THE bar in the new end of the terminal Staff will remember you if you travel thru there more than once! Food is ok, pricey, but what isn’t at an airport Close to most of the gates so you can relax till the last minute! Quesadilla is pretty good, potato skins are just and, and grilled cheese is really greasy, and big
