Skyline Cafe

It is a nice café. It is inside of the hotel right next to the lobby. They don’t care whether you are staying at hotel or not. Had a dealsaver. Good cheeseburger and fries. Pretty decent price. Tasty food. They have a couple TVs to watch the game. Went here with a buddy to watch the Warriors on TNT since neither of us have TNT.

Just checked into the hotel and not energetic enough to drive somewhere else. I was delighted with the Lemon Fettuccine. Plenty of cheese in the light garlic sauce. Grilled fresh veggies and a lemon half. Adding the juice to the plate took it over the top. Still early in the evening, I had the place to my self. Very little wait time. A real value for the money. Drawbacks, no soups and only had cheese cake for desert. I might eat here again as I’m staying at the Ramada Fresno Airport all week.

A very strange experience: They have a breakfast buffet which is about what you’d expect to get for free at a Holiday Inn Express, except they charge $ 11 for it. For that reason I decided to order Eggs Benedict from the menu. After about 10 minutes the waitress told me that the cook «just left» and they were trying to find another cook. Long story short, I was on a schedule so I had the buffet. The waitress told me on checkout that the cook just got frustrated at all the orders and left. There weren’t over 30 people in the restaurant and most were getting the buffet.
However, the buffet wasn’t bad (it wasn’t particularly good either) and the waitress was nice. First time that’s ever happened to me at a restaurant.

Not bad for a hotel restaurant, much improved since they remodeled it. The staff was very friendly, the prices were reasonable, and the food was alright.

Totally adequate fare for waiting for your people to get ready at FYI. Reminds me of every sort of bar-​restaurant in Vegas that served locals.

After a long loooonnnggg day I just needed something comforting to eat and drink. Soup and salad. They actually have a good selection of fresh looking ingredients in their salad bar. Liked it a lot. My entrée was salmon. LOL I forgot where I was at before ordering, it was that kind of day, but yea salmon is salmon this salmon wasn’t good but wasn’t bad it was just a large piece of either boiled or steamed salmon, don’t really recommend though but I ate the entire dish as it was just ok. I went back to soup because I felt like soup and salad. The soup looked like minestrone soup but smelt a lot like chilli, after eating some I stop to say this taste more like chilli too since I was starting to sweat then finished the bowl. Someone ordered the cheese burger, it looked good except for nasty old looking cheese LOL. I also tried some local brew fire something, very bitter. The service was ok, the girl was friendly and she brought out food in ok time.

Service is quick, restaurant is clean, food is very good. What more do you want?

They were mostly out of everything from soup, salad, and dessert but their sandwiches were pretty good.
I had the turkey roll up and it was pretty healthy. A tortilla skin filled with alfalfa sprouts, roast turkey, swiss cheese, tomatoes and lettuce. No mayo or fattening condiments but it did come with a heaping pile of ridge cut fries, similiar to the ones you got in school lunches back in the days.
We also got the appetizer of fried jalepeno poppers, zuchinni sticks, chicken wings, onion rings, and mozerella sticks served with a marinara and ceaser ranch dipping sauce. Typical fried stuff, nothing special.
I wanna give props to the waitress though for being cheery, witty, and super helpful. Brought me a new tea bag and fresh hot water even before it was needed. Made my dining experience hella pleasant!
