Screw this place, the website says it closes at 5:30 pm, I drove from Sanger to fresno to pick up my daughter and then across town to the palm ave, location and at that time the clock read 5“13pm and a short obese lady and a tall male were locking up the back doors and I inquired if they were closing for the nigt, the obese lady said«yeah, we close at 5pm, Sorry!» I stated«well the website says 5:30?» And she responded with«Does it really? Well I’ll be sure to inform the Dr!» I asked if I could just get my daughters glasses and I was told there wasn’t any possible way as the alarm had been set«Sorryyyy» I hate this place!

The ladies in the front are utterly incompetent. I gave them my ID and insurance for photocopying, and a short while later was asked by someone else if I had done so yet. The woman who created my file replied, «I didn’t get no ID» and shrugged. I informed her that she was the one that filed away the photocopy because I saw her do it. If you want to feel like you’re going somewhere where the staff is professional or even educated, don’t come here. Additionally, I was not told a single thing about their pricing until I had already been examined for contacts and was ready to leave. I would definitely check to see what your insurance covers before coming here(don’t come here at all). $ 175 for a contact fitting by the way. Probably much cheaper somewhere else. The lady who billed me then chastised the women working up front, telling them that they should have asked if I was here for glasses or contacts when I came in… why did they not ask me, if that is part of their job description? Is it really that difficult to ask a question you are paid to sit around and ask? My mom made an appointment for me here, and I was too busy at the time to properly research the place. I would have gone somewhere else. TLDR; the staff will not ask you basic questions when you check in and will choose to inform you about pricing when you’re walking out the door and you have already had procedures done. They also don’t care for basic grammar and do not assume responsibility for anything. The optometrist was fine but you can do better.

I am VERY upset with the office ladies at the fresno location. After failing to fax me my own Perscription twice they used the excuse they could not fax it to me due to privacy laws… excuse me? What a load of horse manure. So after being asked in a ghetto manner to not ‘scream’ at the lady(mind you I was no where near screaming let alone even rude, but was about to be at that point) I hung up and called back only to talk to the other woman in the office who claimed she had no idea what I was talking about when it was evident she did. So now I will be forced to pay for another eye exam out of pocket due to the ignorance and absolute shitty attitude of the staff. Grow up and start helping people instead of causing the problem…

I was disappointed with the service here. The wait time with an appointment was excessive. The doctor does not make the patient a priority. My eye exam nearly took an hour and a half to complete, when there were no other patients in the office. Today I went back to simply place the order for the contacts and had to wait nearly an hour, and felt that the staff was rude. I don’t blame the staff necessarily for being rude, because in general it’s just a badly run office, that lacks professionalism. I tried this office because I am new to Fresno, now it is clear it’s worth the 45 minute drive to my old optometrist’s office to be treated well. I got my prescription, and have chosen to fulfill it somewhere else. Try to avoid this place!

After several visits and multiple calls to my insurance we finally got contacts ordered. We ordered early in the day and they would be overnighted. Too bad overnight means several days. My insurance states I pay a $ 10 co-pay on the eye exam and then pays up to $ 120 for the contact fitting and contacts. I have already gotten my insurance provider involved to try to correct this place. So far they are trying to bill me directly $ 94 and then apply that $ 94 to the $ 120 for contacts as well. Leaving $ 26 twards the $ 42 co tact fitting. so in the end I would pay $ 110 out of pocket and have no credit for contacts. So once again here we go in simple terms. This place wants me to pay $ 110 and get nothing when my insurance says I should pay $ 10 out of pocket and get 3 – 4 boxes of contacts. We ended up with two boxes for $ 12.50. We will go back to walmart next time. Last time we paid less than $ 30 and got 4 boxes.
