Cash-​only establishments are rare these days but they still are prevalent. Buyer beware. I was all excited and went up and placed my order and she said «cash only.»
Boo. It’s 2016, any place that doesn’t want to absorb the credit card processing fee to allow credit cards simply doesn’t get my business.

The food here is good! Only giving it four stars because its a cash only business and it’s rare i feel for all hopeful customers to carry cash on a daily basis.

The chicken salad is perfect. Their dressing is so amazing I could just drink it. They only take cash.

Big portions! Loooooooooooove their chicken salad! Romaine lettuce with crispy crunchy noodles and boiled chicken. That dressing is so freaken amazing!
It’s always packed during lunch hour but let me tell you, they get you in and out. I like there teriyaki sticks too.
Recommend this spot.

Horrible customer service!!! Cash only… really inconvenient. Must pick up to go order in 10 minutes. Not very customer-​friendly. Their sign said «closed» but they were open… Next time I’ll go to Tomos instead!

The chicken salad is the bomb but wanted to order something else but the new prices were not posted because they had lovely duck tape on them! I always get it to go because those people act like doing you a favor for even coming in! RUDE RUDE RUDE PEOPLE! Cash only really I wounder how the IRS would like that!

fast food Indeed. Order n 2 mins, got it in 3. Quality of the meat is acceptable, but for the portion size the price is pretty high. 6.50 for a small bowl of rice and meat seem like a stretch. I will say the sauce is good and really adds some much needed flavor to the bowl. Definitely a one time try for experience of the awesome sauce, but otherwise I’d pass here for other Japanese fast food places.

Have not been in here for years. Today’s visit was pleasant and quick. After reading all the reviews that called the staff rude — I was cautious! Checkbook in hand gave my order quickly and got a nice smile from the guy at the register — the other ladies, well they are the rude in the reviews. Rice bowl was good, tempura veg was disappointing. But it really is good food that is quick. Next time a chicken salad!

I hope this place sees these Unilocal so they can maybe better their customer service. I understand this is a family operated business, but there are paying customers that deserve to be treated with respect. They don’t even look you in the eye or pay attention to you when you are standing right there. All I wanted was a lid so I could take my chicken bowl home and there was 3 women standing there that completely ignored me. I waited right there for 5 minutes just to get a kid and the lady was so rude giving me one! I just can’t believe it. Cash only, which is annoying/​kinda cheap. Food is pretty good. I just don’t even know if it’s worth it considering how disrespectful they are.

I had the chicken salad. It’s actually pretty good and healthy. The portion was pretty generous. I got a lot of crispy wontons on mine. Yum!

This place is a great option if you are looking to pick up a quick-​affordable lunch at a local Mom-​and-​Pop shop.

I come here on my lunch because it’s so close, when I have cash on me and get it to go. I go right at 11:00 to beat the crowd. The chicken salad is simple, but really good when I want something light. As for the employees some are semi friendly and some not at all.

Good place to eat when you are not so hungry. The beef bowl is small for the price. Spicy beef need too dry need more sauce.

The beef and chicken terriyaki bowl is delicious, we also love the chicken salad. It looks like they have cleaned up the place quite a bit from when i went there last and i would go much more if they accepted debit or credit. Even if they passed the merchant fee down to the customer at least i wouldnt have to go find an atm or less cash a charge elsewhere.

I ordered the chicken salad and two other entrees to last me for the next day as well. I read from a couple of reviews on here that the chicken salad is a healthy option. Well, the dressing for the chicken salad tasted like pure fat. I’m not sure what kind of oil they use, but I can guarantee you that it’s not olive or vegetable. They also were very cheap with the meat — only a few, meagerly pieces of shredded chicken.
The rice for one of the bowls was entirely soaked with teriyaki sauce so I had to throw it out. I had been yearning to order a shrimp meal, but did not want to buy it considering that they only give you ONE shrimp. Who would buy a shrimp dish with only ONE shrimp in it?
This business is so incredibly cheap. They even don’t have a credit card machine, probably to save on those fees. Overall, the food didn’t taste that good, and I can’t trust a business operates on this level of cheap.

BRING CASH!
I am sorry. Their chicken salad is incredible… probably best I’ve ever had but… Get a gosh darned credit card machine. I would probably frequent here once a week instead of once a month if I knew I could just stop in without having to get cash.
They are frequently busy which can sometimes lead to what seems like rude service but it’s clearly only because they are so busy and the food is consistently good so I can’t really be mad at them for being a little short with the customers at times…
Get the chicken salad and tempura veg. You won’t regret it… but BRING CASH!

Awesome you have an above decent chicken salad, get a fuc**** credit card machine. It’s 2015 mf’ers jesus, who carries, cash donald trump and 13 year olds with allowances. Get your life together.
The service is laughable, the owner is a pretentious scumbag and the interior of this place is gross. Seriously bye Felicia!

Based on other reviews, I ordered the chicken salad. It was yummy! My husband ordered the teriyaki chicken and beef plate. The teriyaki was good, but the tempura was not hot. I would definitely give it another shot.
