My mom and I had dinner at Cotton Patch Frisco last night(6÷5÷16). Mom had the Sunday special — turkey dinner, which was a huge portion. I had the grilled tilapia. Our food was wonderful. I was even more impressed with the outstanding service. RJ and Stephanie took care of us. They were attentive, responsive, knowledgeable, polite. The other staff members were also super nice. They greeted us, thanked us for coming and held the door for my mom and her walker when we entered and left. I had a good experience there before, but this was worthy of a great review!

I ate some tilapia here at the Frisco location back on February 6th and was very very very sick the next morning February 7th with food poisoning. I was scheduled to go on my honeymoon February 8th. I decided after being bedridden all day that Sunday the 7th to go ahead and go into CareNow to see what was going on. The doctor told me after taking my blood and go over all of my symptoms that it definitely was food poisoning. I spent about $ 100 there after my Copay and medications and $ 100 to change my flight from 6:00AM to 12:30PM because I did not have enough energy to get out of bed and pack. I filed a claim later on after I got back. February 17th after President’s day is when I filed that claim and it went to their insurance company. Gallagher Bassett and Julio Medina was handling my file. After months of waiting for a resolution they came back with not being able to help me because the doctor at CareNow never collect a stool sample from me but collected everything else that was needed. Who in the heck ask for a stool sample when you have food poisoning??? The manager at this location did not try to help me either, he immediately sent everything over to his insurance company and said that it was out of his control! What a joke!!! I will never, ever eat at Cotton Patch ever again.

I have always liked other locations. This one, not so much. We tried the fried green tomatoes, house salad, grilled tilapia and grilled salmon. They were all pretty much the same… no flavor. The tarter sauce and rolls were the best things we ate. Also, the salad was fresh but very basic. Good prices, but you get what you pay for.

Good thing I wasn’t that hungry. This was the smallest chicken fried steak I’ve ever seen. It was good but I swear I’ve had chicken fried that big on a biscuit before. Maybe it was because it was lunch sized or something. Everything else good though

I go for the chicken fried chicken and the chicken fried steak. I have not tried anything else on the menu… I flat out love those to items… side of mashed potatoes and steam broccoli… so my 4 stars are for those two items… Chicken fried chicken and chicken fried steak… I go at least once a month and I eat the same thing every time…

Service was excellent. Had blackened talipia with rice, brocalli, and cheese potato soup — all good. Would have ordered the shrimp with grits if the shrimp had not been coated and deep fried.

Love this place! Every time I travel north of Dallas this place is a must. The ambiance is great, there’s a full bar, food is fantastic and service is friendly. Unfortunately, this visit was a little different. After being greeted by a friendly hostess she sat us near the back. We waited and waited and no server. Employees would walk past our table, smile and walk on. This was my friends first visit and they weren’t impressed by my suggestion due to the lack of service. Finally after about 18 minutes a server came to our table to take our drink orders oblivious to the amount of time we have waited. I don’t believe in making scenes, so I didn’t complain but we were obviously ready to order. Plus side. We both ordered the Chicken fried chicken which is always a great choice. This thing is huge! The flavor is out of this world and the gravy is so good. The cast iron corn bread is a must! I can’t explain the flavor but I could have just had that, and would have been happy. All in all this place serves up fantastic home cooking. If it weren’t for the unfortunate service, I would have given them 5 stars.

I have been a customer here for over 10 years and I will not be coming back. Every time I go in, I order iced tea and just out of persistence, I ask for a teaspoon just to be told they don’t have them. What do they expect us to stir our tea with? Have you tried stirring your iced tea with a straw with ice in it? Not easy. I have asked the manager about this at least 20 times and told each time he would check on it. After 10 years I have decided if they don’t care enough about me to provide the implements needed to eat, then I will just mark them off of my list. They are the only restaurant we know that does not provide this simple thing to its customers. Obviously it is not important to them. Good bye.

Amazing chicken fried steak and HUGE portions! Mondays $ 7.99! Family oriented restaurant, large portions at reasonable prices. The menus is extensive and the service was pretty good. I liked how laid back the restaurant was and child friendly. Will definitely return!

Our server was a skinny guy with a black eye. He did an awesome job and had great knowledge of the foods. No complaints with the service or food. Just as good as I remember when I worked here 5 years ago except they revamped the whole place and some new menu items.

The Sunday special has been turkey and dressing for as long as I can remember, so on a rainy Sunday, that’s exactly what I ordered to-go. It was a nice-sized portion of turkey, dressing along with two sides. I chose mashed potatoes and mac and cheese. Everything was outstanding, even the two pieces of cornbread which accompanied what ended up being a good bit of food. But hey, I was starving so I polished everything off and then took a food coma-induced nap. Have been going to this Cotton Patch for a number of years and have had very few complaints. It had been a while since I’d been here because it had just fallen out of the rotation for newer options, but after today’s strong showing, Cotton Patch is back in the mix.

Our server was Jason G. This was by far the best service we have ever received at any Cottonpatch Café. Everything came out just as ordered and timed perfectly and tasted wonderful!

I love their steak! Nothing fancy, just good meat and seasonings. For a routine evening out, this is the place to go.

Food — 7.5÷10 Atmosphere — 8⁄10 Customer service — 10⁄10 Ever since I’ve been to this location, I’ve never had a problem with their customer service, its phenomenal. Their waiters and waitresses are very attentive. The food may not be entirely perfect, however, their customer service is something else. Every time I go here, I’m greeted with attentive waitresses and waiters, and smiling faces. Their food is decent, Its not the best, but it isn’t bad either. I used to go to the Egg and I on Preston during my lunch hours, however, their customer service was terrible. The waiters and waitresses here are amazing, and they do their job perfectly. Whether it be breakfast, lunch, or dinner, this location consistently provides over-the-top customer service, and quality food for a decent price.

This was the worst we’ve ever had. The food was either super spicy or too salty. The chicken strips look super nasty. The new Cajun duo was nasty and didn’t look much like the picture in the menu.

Maybe you’ll get a better server than Kasey C. We went into Cotton Patch Café for lunch. It was our first time, and they have a menu full of comfort food. Since hubby and I aren’t big eaters, we decided to split the chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes, ands baked potato. The food was delicious, which is why I’m giving it two stars. But, it was hard to enjoy based in our experience, thanks to our server. Kasey was always in a hurry, and mildly rude while at our table. Otherwise, she pretty much was seen floating around behind the counter, avoiding eye contact. We were the only table in her section, so I don’t know why we got such an attitude. We ordered the dinner portion of chicken fried chicken, gravy on the side. Lunch comes out, smothered in gravy. I opted to keep mine, but hubby asked to have his portion redone, since gravy bothers his stomach. He asks to keep his baked potato so he has something to eat while waiting on his food. She said that she would put it on another plate and bring it back. She never did. It sucks to be so hungry, and have to watch someone else enjoy their meal while you wait. It’s equally hard to eat while someone else, who you know is hungry, is sitting at your table, watching you eat. So, his meal came back to him exactly as soon as I got done with my meal. Kasey never once came to check up on us, no drink refills were offered, nor desert mentioned. Husband had to basically had to scarf down his food, as we were late for an appointment. We may be back for the food, but will ask to never sit in her section again!
