We really enjoy coming here for quick burger on a weekend night. I love how it’s not very crowded and always fast service… I wish they had more variety or mix up their menu sometime. It’s been the same menu for years

This place was disgusting!!! The meat was covered in grease and the onion rings had no flavor and were just as greasy. My daughter and I are still exploring things around the area and wanted a hamburger. We were going to go to Fudruckers but wanted to try something new so I googled hamburgers and Scotty P’s came up so we ordered and picked it up. It was so bad, I still don’t really understand while the meat itself was greasy. Uggggh so gross. Don’t eat here.

Service was slow, both time-wise and brain-wise. The burgers themselves were pretty decent, toppings were fresh. Fries ok/standard. I came excited for the onion rings since they appeared online to be freshly battered, but they were truly terrible. Batter was completely flavorless and thick– kind of like a thick layer of glue surrounding the onions. Texture of it was strangely stale. We ordered hot chocolates for the kids and had to keep going up to the counter to ask for them. Someone finally brought them to the table, handed them to us, then asked if we wanted whipped cream. We said yes, she took them away again to put it on. Someone did come by once to ask how the food was, we said it was just okay and the onion rings just weren’t good at all. He looked at us for a second and then just went to another table. Very weird. Save yourself the time(it took about 10 minutes for two burgers and two kids meals) and money(not all that cheap here) and try another place.

Very slow to get food even though they weren’t busy. Good food but too much other competition to wait that long.:(

Great service, nice ambience, reasonably priced! In my experience not necessarily the best burger but very decent! Fries were«meh»(not bad, not outstanding), burger was good and prices are very fair. Other than that, not a memorable experience and I guess overall it is above average?

As usual the not so cheeseburger cheeseburger floated down from heaven with little elves and angels giving it kisses so by the time you eat it. Your transported to heaven.

Good burgers. All the entrees are named for local historical figures. I.e. The BBQ burger is called the Warren Burger, named after the Warren family whose name is also on streets and parks in the city. There are lots of old time local photos on the walls too. Their«combo» only includes fries, but no drink, which is annoying, but their fries are really good. You can also easily add lettuce, sauce, etc to your order. Get the bbq sauce on the side if applicable or the burger is too sloppy to pick up.

I’m kind of a burger snob, I hate burgers that aren’t seasoned well or that are too greasy. To me, a good burger should be seared well, and seasoned well enough where I could enjoy just the patty without bread or toppings. Scotty P’s nails it. Burgers are seasoned well and have a nice crispy & flavorful searing. Buns are toasted and buttered crispy and to perfection. I got the Green Chile burger, one of my favorite foods being Green Chile, it was hot but not overpowering & went well with the onion rings, which were battered well. Fries were above average, salted just right with a crispy exterior and soft interior. Nice place with some cool old pictures, ordering isn’t rocket science like many other divey-wannabe type restaurants. Overall, a great place and hoping to visit again soon!

This joint was my favorite spot for almost a year until something I don’t know changed and the burgers just turned out to be bad. Fries are greasy and the burgers are pretty bland. I wont go there again

This place has gone down from its previous greatness. It used to be SOGOOD. I don’t know if it’s just this specific location that has lost it dedication to quality or this company overall. I made an online order that came out completely wrong and everything tasted old. Apparently, whatever was WRITTEN(I mean, it is an online order after all) was completely ignored. Then, I called back TWICE and was finally offered some consolation: the same meal again for free. Ok, I appreciate the courtesy. So, I get the same order again. Yeah, it was correct and it tasted fresher in comparison… until the next morning: both my mom and I were sick for half a day. I know you guys have expanded, but maybe it’s time to revert back to the small details. There are WAYTOOMANY burger options for consumers for you to make your product wrong in some way, TWICE.

Burger is great. Nice and juicy. What sets it apart is that it’s flame grilled, the bun is butterey toasted on the grill, they use purple/red onion which every good burger deserves, and the vegies are fresh and top notch(no tomato butts/ends here). I wasnt crazy about tge onion rings. They just have a plain batter on them– no seasoning and are rather raw, however the staff is well accommodating and someone walks around checking on the tables to make sure you are satisfied. Im sure if I’d asked they would have gladly switched me to another side. Delicious burger though for sure!

Going house hunting with our realtor and got hungry for lunch. She has lived here for 40 years and this was her choice. That says a lot. Hubby and I really enjoyed our burgers. The onion rings are off the hook.

WORST meal we’ve had in a good minute! Dry burger, greasy fries and they missed my avocado and pickles I ordered. Plus, it was filthy in there. Dirty booths and the beverage area was gross!

First visit at this location. Always have good hamburgers at each location. very popular right after church Sunday November 2014. At Plano store they have black&white photos of Plano in the early 20th century.

I’m not a fan of Scotty P’s. I think their burger patties are a low grade pre-formed frozen patty that they toss directly onto the grill. For the price you pay, it’s just not for me. But I am getting a kick out of Dave S’s review were he misspelled BYOB! By the way his review is worded he must be the beer distributor for Tom Thumb.

Solid, local burger joint. Other reviews can discuss the food in detail. I did not see anyone mention that this Scotty’s location is BOYB(bring your own beer). The Tom Thumb that is 75 yards from Scotty P’s has a huge beer isle of macro brews but the very end closest to front of store has two coolers full of great craft bombers; many weeks some are on sale with Tom Thumb card. Pick up a brew before you have a burger.

Food — 4⁄5 Service — 4⁄5 Price — 5⁄5 Atmosphere — 3⁄5 Best Dish: Chris P. Chicken Tenders I’ve only been here once, but I absolutely loved my visit. I didn’t even get a burger — the tenders were delicious enough for me to give Scotty P’s 4 stars. I’d put these tenders up in my top 6 or 7 tenders I’ve had for a variety of reasons: quality of chicken, good amount of breading, and oh my goodness the value. I consider myself to be a pretty big eater, but one order of the tenders can easily feed two people. Throw in some fries, and you have yourself a bonafide winner. Plus, Scotty P’s is a family owned and operated restaurant with a history dating back to the 30s in Chicago. I tend to support these establishments moreso than the big chains. Tip #1: If you’re into buffalo sauce, then this is the place for you. There’s a nice little kick to it and it goes perfectly with your tenders. Tip #2: You can place online orders! Tip #3: It’s located right next to J’Adore Yogurt, which is home to the best taro flavored frozen yogurt in all the land.

This is a great burger. Workers are friendly. Fresh buns, fresh lettuce, onions, tomatoes, mmm cheese… This 7oz burger was perfectly medium and the side ceasar salad was dressed perfectly.

I came in after placing an order from an old menu… Once I came in and was disappointed that I didn’t get the green chilis. Edgar the manager hooked me up with a side of green chilis and brisket … Which made my day… Great customer service
