meh… the service was great, food came out on time, but the food was lackluster. Ordered a pizza, and most of our toppings were kinda piled in the center. The pizza was also pretty soggy from not quite being cooked enough(doughy in the middle), and also grease pooling on the bottom of the pizza tray.

A-MAZ-ING food! Pizza and sauce are delicious! Loved the breadsticks too! The cinna-sticks are a perfect ending to the meal(the icing was so gooey and good). The service was fabulous. The employees were all so warm and welcoming. Our waitress was very kind and friendly and the guys behind the counter were too. They chatted with us and made us feel like we were regulars. We ordered the family special(2large, 1 topping pizza’s, breadsticks and cinna-sticks) it was more than enough food for our family of 6 and it was a fantastic deal! This is definitely a new favorite and we will come back!

I recently dined at the Anthony’s Pizza in Front Royal, and later purchased a carry-out pizza as well. My review is based on those two transactions. First, the dining room experience could be improved. I’ve lived in Front Royal for nearly 10 years and have avoided the place because it looks so dated. However, I decided to finally give it a try. The décor inside is dated and worn as well. The ceiling tiles are stained and like many places in Front Royal, it could use a major cleaning or makeover. On the first visit, we ordered a steak and cheese sub with French fries. The meal was hot and fresh and was slightly above average. The wait staff was attentive and polite. However, I wanted unsweetened iced tea with my meal, but none was available. In placing a second food order from Anthony’s, I had high hopes the pizza would mirror the previous visit. However, sadly the pizza was a problem. We ordered a large pizza with green peppers and pepperoni. The order cost $ 16+. However, the pizza ended up being unusually greasy. It appears the crust had been partially drenched in grease from the cheese and pepperoni. What we could consume tasted okay, but the amount of grease just sickened us, and made for a rough night of feeling woozy. I give Anthony’s 2 stars because the steak and cheese sub was above average. I have no problems returning to enjoy one of their subs again. However, I could not give the place 3 stars, because I feel they really could improve the quality of the pizza and pay more attention to quality control.

My favorite pizza joint in town, hands down. have had subs here, as well as the eggplant parmigiana(to go) which was really good. Reading the other reviews, I just don’t get it. I have been here dozens of times, the pizza and service is always great. From just myself coming in, bringing my family and having a team party here — Anthony’s has never disappointed me.

I recently their $ 6 cheese pizza Thursday special. I hadn’t ordered Anthony’s pizza in over a decade and was pleasantly surprised. Maybe not the best pizza I’ve ever tasted, ever, but overall a good experience. Customer service was excellent, both on the phone and in person. My husband enjoys the calzones and strombolis. Will come back again.

Cheap decent pizza, good steak n cheese. The owner is a little on the rude and impatient side though.

SO, I tried again, and this time I got someone to take(and deliver) my order. Food was delivered without the garlic bread that was supposed to come with. As for what did get delivered, there’s not really anything I can complain about. I’d go 3 stars, but given that this is the second try and they still didn’t get it right, I’ll just have to be honest: «Meh. I’ve experienced better.» Probably won’t order again.

Easily the worst pizza I’ve ever had. Overpriced as well. Their pizza makes Ellio’s frozen pizza seem good. It’s a surprise they have numerous locations. They wont survive some of the new competition in the valley as the quality isn’t even comparable. I’d give a zero out of 5 if possible.

Recently my family wanted pizza for dinner and we were happy to remember that it was a Thursday which meant $ 4 pizzas. We ordered 5 pizzas 3 with extra cheese and 2 regular cheese and double cut. I called at 450pm and asked that my order be ready at 6pm since I was commuting home from work in DC and would be in town right at 6pm. When I pulled into the Anthony’s parking lot at 5:55pm and went into the store I was greeted right away. The girl behind the counter asked me my name I told her and she said«Oh you have 5 pizzas it’ll be ready in 5 mins they are putting your order together now» Would you believe at 6pm I was paid and pizzas in hand walking out the door. I was so happy that they could accomodate me even though they were so busy. When I got home the pizzas were still hot and fresh. The extra cheese pizzas had ALOTOFEXTRACHEESE on them and we were in heaven they were perfect. Just another experience at Anthony’s I am happy to share. The reason I am giving 5* is because Thursday nights are there busiest nights and you can tell they are slammed the minute you walk in the door. Even though they were very busy I was still given great individualized attention my pizzas were done when promised and my family was happy.

Minchia!, so bad 1 star for the pictures of family on the wall– a necessary trait of any Italian pizza spot. Other wise it was really bad. I couldnt finish the slice. When IM looking for pizza in Virginia, My standards are very low. When I see a place with an Italian name, I try it out and hope for the best. The interior has definite good slice potential– but its just bad for all the same reason any slice is bad– poor cheese, gross sauce, shitty bread. And I was really hungry walking into this joint, Cmon Tony– are you Italian, man?

This place is average at best. The pizza is ordinary, if not a little«cardboardy». The sauce is different, not bad-different, but different. As mentioned before, if you catch them on a specials night(ex: Thursdays $ 4 pizza) then it is worth it, otherwise, I would prefer Melting Pot or even one of the chain pizza joints in town. The sandwiches are better than the pizzas luckily. They have good hot sandwiches, although nothing out of the ordinary, but they do know how to prepare and cook with basic, ordinary ingredients. There are better sandwhiches around, but if you are dead set on Anthony’s, then forget the pizza and get a sandwhich. Overall, I get it an «ehhhhh I’ve had better» but not a «don’t go there»

Hey, I’m not sure what the other reviewers expect. Anthony’s has several outlets that are quite the same, usually in strip malls, nothing fancy. Their menu is family italian. The usual basics. The pizza is very good, and the menu entrees are awesome. For about $ 8.50 I had chicken parmesan and salad. What I got was a decent side salad and TWO chicken breasts(not cutlets). I could only eat one, it was so big. I took the other home and made another meal of it. Same for my wife that had the eggplant parmesan. Some day I will be moving to Hedgesville WV and they have a location in Inwood I have already scoped out. We will definitely go there for our fix. I had the pizza from the downtown Martinsburg WV location and it was a great buy, I think about $ 5 for a large on Sunday-Monday-Tuesday. Now, when you have Anthony’s, why bother with Dominoes and Pizza Hut? I hate the cardboard pizzas that come from chains.

Food was alright… Had a very cheap pizza on Thursday nights, $ 4 large pizza! Can’t beat that right! PLUS, we live on blue mountain and NOONE delivers here. We called Anthony’s. asked if they delvered, they did! and at no charge! We were phsyced and ordered from them all the time! We gave our delivery guy a HUGETIP! Even though we only live about 7 miles(if that) from there. Everyone makes a big deal about delivering to us. So we were happy to have a pizza place that delivered! Until… one time, we noticed we were over charged by about $ 5, called up, and I was informed that we were charged, and had always been charged a delivery fee for living«so far away»(Don’t ask how we missed it before) I was irate! Not at the charge, but the fact that we point blank asked and were told there was no charge, and on top of that we gave the delivery guy a huge tip! They at least could have had the decency to be upfront with us and tell us they were going to add on another $ 5! For this reason i will never eat there again! Honesty pays!
