Coffee was so good and they used frozen coffee cubes as ice cubes so it didn’t water down the coffee as it melted!

Stopped by here for the first time today during the festival. What a great little place. Only treated myself to coffee today, Viennese blend with some soy milk, and it was very good. The café is very trendy and the staff is friendly and upbeat. I’ll definitely be back!

Nice décor, friendly staff, decent coffee, really good breakfast sandwich. Bathroom infested with cockroaches. Game over.

Had a pumpkin latte fixed by a woman at lunchtime. Soapy taste to pumpkin latte. Drank latte & felt sick afterwards. Complained to young man working there to better rinse their utensils with water.

Good food and coffee. I’m a local and like supporting local business’s. To improve they need to ditch the 1920 rules. Seriously, internet should always be free forever. It’s $ 50 a month for unlimited top of the line 25Mb at my house. Stop being cheap. If I would telework more this place would get 3 starts but an hour is about all I get out these days.

This is my favorite place to meet a friend or have a quiet hour to myself for a cup of coffee. Sometimes we bring the kids for ice cream, and they sit at the cute little table and chairs. Service is friendly, coffee is great. Keep up the good work! I really don’t understand others’ b*tching about the wi-fi policy. Buy a $ 2 drink for another hour of internet and get over yourself. Daily Grind gets crowded frequently. If internet usage were completely unlimited, some people would never leave. Sheesh. My one critique is that sometimes the owner gets flustered with a customer when it’s busy and crowded and there’s a miscommunication with the order. But no biggie. Service is usually great.

The food and beverage is five stars. The internet is not free when you have to buy something in order to use it and you can only use it for a hour then you have to go and buy something to use it again. VERYDISAPPOINTING

I wish this didn’t happen. I just moved to town for a month or two, and have been coming into this coffee shop every day about 3 – 4 times a day to work. I would get coffee each time, but sometimes my hour long internet session would expire. So, usually, I would leave, go walk around, stretch my legs and come back in a few hours. But, this time, I had to keep working. So I asked for another hour of internet. They told me I had to buy something. I couldn’t just get another hour without buying anything. Like, you’ve got to be joking me right? WRONG. For some reason this really pissed me off. Like, you can’t spare an hour of internet? What is it costing you? Well, I guess it’s costing you a customer now. First of all, you shouldn’t have to enter a 26-digit hash key to log into an internet service that randomly decides to cut in and out at will. Secondly, it takes 15 minutes just to enter the code, why is the session only an hour long. Third, why is there no warning of this? I’ve lost emails and blog posts multiple times because as I was writing my session expired and then I clicked publish or send. Now listen, I get it. This is the only coffee place in town. But sadly, I’m going to have to drive 45 minutes to go to the nearest Starbucks now. At least their internet won’t cut out. TL;DR internet sucks, coffee is okay.

Pleasant coffee shop with decent coffee, though much better after I used my Unilocal check-in freebie to top off the breakfast blend I ordered first, because I didn’t notice the dark roast listed on the little sign by the register until it was too late. Breakfast blend was way to weak for my Starbucks-trained palate. Didn’t try any of the food, so I can’t give this review my usual verbose treatment, but the atmosphere is nice, and the free-wifi was appreciated.

Love this place. Found it on Unilocal. They didn’t have the cinnamon buns ready but the coffee was very good as were the goodies we had. Very interesting street with cool shops to look in.

Delicious coffee, great in-store setup with comfortable chairs, windows, wifi, and plenty of space to work or chat quietly. Service was prompt and friendly, with the barrista suggesting frozen coffee ice cubes so that my wife wouldn’t have diluted coffee on a steamy Front Royal afternoon.

2 stars seems harsh for the only coffee joint in Front Royal, but hear me out. Aside from the 60 minutes of WiFi free with your purchase and ample seating, the coffee here is awful. Truly. I went here every morning for a week solid while studying for a test and tried each blend of coffee they offered hoping the next would be drinkable. Blehck. I will say though that their lunch items are decent and that spinach feta croissant is solid if you don’t mind the excess of salt. All that being said I’ve gone back time and time again because while living in Front Royal you will begin to understand it is the only hang out spot to meet up. I would love to love it.

My fiancé and I stopped in for a couple cappuccinos on a drive back from Luray. It was a bit further than from the highway than we thought. Overall, not impressed. Starbucks would have been better. It’s a decent coffee shop, just not worth the drive for what we expected.

Really, Unilocalers? Ten reviews and not one mention of Main Street’s «famous» cinnamon buns? It was only after we ordered four breakfast sandwiches that we overheard a customer approach the counter and ask if the cinnamon buns were ready. The cashier told him, «Not yet, but they’ll be hot out of the oven in half an hour.» Husband’s salivary glands started working overtime and he just had to know more, so he raced off to chat up said cashier and get the skinny on MSDG’s buns. Turns out they’re famous. In Front Royal. The breakfast sandwiches were only okay. Your choice of egg, cheese, bacon or sausage served on flatbread. Actually, I asked for mine on an everything bagel. I was the last of the four of us to order, tho, and the cashier never mentioned you could sub the flatbread for a bagel. The result was that I was the only diner at the table with a seasoned sammie. Dining companions were pouty and petulant. Of course, none of *them* thought to ask about subbing a bagel, but still. A tip for MSDG: when someone orders a breakfast sandwich, follow up with, «Flatbread or bagel?» Makes it harder for folks to complain that a bland breakfast was foisted upon them. Coffee was good. We didn’t have thirty minutes to burn sitting around for one of those famous cinnamon buns. I just put that info in here as a PSA.

Pros: The location is right on Main Street. During the holidays they had a gingerbread house competition that was cute. Cons: The brewed coffee was not very fresh. The espresso was not vibrant, maybe the beans were old/dry. I ordered a cupcake, but before I did, I asked if they were freshly made. The barista said they were, and she suggested a flavor, supposedly the freshest one. The cupcake was hard because it was very cold, and it tasted like a refrigerator smells. The décor is haphazard. Summary: I will not return. Tried it twice, and I was disappointed both times. I would love to support a local coffee shop, but for now I either drive a long way or go to Starbucks.

The best thing I can say about the Main Street Daily Grind is that the food is very good. I like to come here to have a coffee and a sandwich and it is very inexpensive. I have yet to have a bad sandwich here yet. The coffee has always been right on too. My children love coming here with me because they love their fruit smoothies.
